In the Stars Romance #4
Forced To Marry The Alien Prince
One way or another, I’m going to make her my new bride.
Georgia is a teacher, fluent in Mixian. She is patient and loves kids. But she is a little gullible, to her own detriment.
Prince Kylin is the crown prince of Mixis. He is intelligent, loyal, and unfortunately for him, the worst sort of hopeless romantic.
Georgia is conned into thinking she is going to interview for a position to teach English to the Mixian children, when in actuality, she is interviewing for an arranged marriage to Prince Kylin. Sadly, neither has any idea until after signing on the dotted line.
By the time Prince Kylin finds out what happened, it’s already too late. He’s already been made to look like he orchestrated her forced marriage to him. He swears to avenge her honour—and to prove that he is worthy of her love.
To make matters worse, tensions between Mixis and Earth rise. And the person responsible for it all is kidnapped by the troublesome neighbours ... the Dolarians.
Will Georgia be able to defuse the situation peacefully? What will happen concerning her marriage to Prince Kylin?

It is just a short review for this one as I only lasted to the 50% mark of the story. Which is just over the minimum 3 hours of the audio (or 100 regular pages) that I give books to get a true feel of a story. It just did not really work for me. I think the premise promised the potential for a really fun comedy romance but that just never materialized as the writing was too basic and stilted to suck me into the story.
The story could have been really fun. Prince Kylin, an alien, is the crown prince of Mixis and to spur his people into being more open to taking alien spouses has decided to lead by example and advertise for a human bride! Georgia is an out of work language teacher who speaks fluent Mixian. Georgia's brother is the host and star of his own popular prank TV show and decides it would be hilarious, and good for ratings, to trick his sister into marrying the Prince. He does so by altering the marriage advertisement so it looks like the offer of a teaching job at the Palace! Mishaps ensue and before too long Kylin and Georgia find themselves in a public marriage betrothal! It should have been super fun and hilarious but Zenia lacked the talent to suck me into the story and the dialogue was a bit dull and, shockingly, lacking in humour!
This was a flop for me.
Rating: 2 stars.
Audio Note: The audio narration also did this book no favours as Lili Dubuque had a fairly annoying sounding voice and no real talent for injecting any life into the story.

I would give this zero stars if I could. I had to stop and start multiple times because I just could not get into it, and came close to DNF when I never not finish books.
The premise of the book is good, but it is just so badly written it is actually painful to read. The characters aren’t well developed, and there’s a lot of telling instead of showing which numbs your brain.

It wasn't that great.
Chad is Georgia's brother. He thinks that it's funny to let her think she's is applying for a teaching job. Prince Rylin is looking for a wife. They chase Chad all over the planet. What was the point? It seemed to be a story for someone that is not grown-up.

I hate to leave a review for something I only made maybe 4 chapters into but god was that hokey and awful. I quite somewhere around the 30% mark because I just couldn’t take it anymore.

I was legit reading a book for young children. I don’t know what they were thinking when they decided to publish this.

There's nothing super offensive about this book, but it just leaned really heavily on random colloquialisms, cheesy dialogue, shallow characters, and a ridiculous premise. It wasn't for me.

💢 My two grandsons are pranksters of course not at this level but still it's annoying I just hate it so I could relate to the book. This book was different to me, it is good just not as enjoyable as all her others.
🔹️Georgia Wallace is a school teacher from earth. She knows the Mixis language very fluently and teaches children of Earth this language now she has an application to go to Mixis in teach the children of that planet how to speak English she is absolutely through the roof with excitement and even better yet when she finds out she has the job. Georgia is on cloud nine, not even realizing her brother's ulterior motives, until it was too late in then she was devastated.
🔹️Crown Prince of Mixis, Kylin has gone through the Mixian International Mating to find a wife. Meeting with her he just thought she was the most beautiful woman he's ever seen in his whole life. When they sign the dotted line his new wife's brother grabbed the documents and was jumping with joy, Georgia passed out. The fury he felt for her brother was like a volcanic eruption. He aware he will pay for his wife and his humiliation.
💥I have voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my own and honest.

Every minute of Zara Zenia's, Forced To Marry The Alien Prince was awesome!
Georgia and Kylin's story was riveting, and that made me eager to keep turning the pages. Chad was a User and I was glad to see him get what coming to him.
I can't wait to read Zara's next book!

I was actually really disappointed with this book, it seemed all Georgia could complain about was that her brother had played this horrible prank on her Which in my opinion was an amazing thing to happen to her as it brought her to an amazing alien called Kylin. I don't know she just didn't seem to accept it as a good thing even thought the author tried to make her seem like she did, the vibe just wasn't there.

It has a good bit of potential, but it needs work, technical, grammatical, and editorial.

Juvenile at best
I have no idea how this author ever got published. The writing is terrible with odd turns of phrase that are like a high school girl trying to sound like an adult . The grammar is good...which is the only thing I can complement. Honestly, I only kept reading because the book is short and I took some perverse delight in mentally bashing it. I should have stopped. The characters are immature and the plot is ridiculous. Again it felt like a high school girl wrote it. If this author keeps at it, I hope her ideas, characters and style improve. Until then, I will pass on any other books.

Why was this book even published? Did it have an editor? 20% and I'm done. The characters were extremely childish. The prince lacked a backbone and what the heck with Georgia signing a contract without reading it? Katie insulting a prince who ruled a whole world would mark her as brain dead and yet she was said to be intelligent. And even if Chad was that self absorbed he had to know such a ruler would have power and being American wouldn't save him.
I can't believe I just got a lot of her books at a go!😭😭😭

This one didn't quite do it for me. The only reason I finished is because after the "prank" Chad pulled and the "distress" he caused everyone, I really wanted to see him get his comeuppance. Well even that didn't quite live up to the hype. It felt like everything was told to me instead of shown to me. I really couldn't connect with this book.

They are well-matched & this is an adventurous tale that engages the imagination. The author chose to use the prank to drive the plot which is fine, I just would have preferred a more romantic plot with the main characters getting to know one another better and more insight about the planet itself.

Not well written
Very repetitive with one dimensional characters that have inconsistent personalities. Story barely had a plot with very shallow world building

Georgia Wallace was a teacher, in between jobs right now and uptight about finding a new one. Her brother, Chad, was her polar opposite, as laid back and annoying as he could be. He told her he had an “opportunity of a lifetime” that would interest her, but getting the details from him was a real struggle as he enjoyed getting on her nerves. The ad was from the planet Mixis for a live-in teacher of English and human customs needed at a Mixian school. Well, at least she had always wanted to travel and see the world – and the galaxy?! The ad seemed too good to be true, and she wasn’t sure if her brother was setting her up for a fake job or not.
Georgia went online to fill in the application. Strange, it had a number of personal questions that didn’t seem related to a teaching position. They even wanted a recent picture! She submitted her application and, within an hour, the Mixis Academy informed her they wanted a formal interview with her!
Prince Kylin was excited when he walked into the Mixian International Mating headquarters to meet his potential mate. He recognized Chad and Katie, Chad’s girlfriend. They had arranged the interview for Georgia to meet with him. When he saw Georgia, he was immediately attracted to her. He asked her about her feelings on children and noted her excitement and enthusiasm. That was a good sign! He couldn’t wait to get started! She asked how many children, and he told her she could have as many as she wanted! Both Chad and Katie looked a bit uncomfortable. Georgia told him she had lots of experience – and he was delighted with her confidence, especially before they had even agreed to the marriage. Her final excitement at being “hired” – he would have used the word “paired”, but it wasn’t worth correcting her – was very satisfying. They were both ready to sign the contract and make it all happen.
The papers were quickly signed and Chad immediately snatched them off the table. Georgia said she was eager to get started – until Prince Kylin smilingly told her they needed to wait for the wedding ceremony for their arranged marriage and Georgia’s face drained as white as a sheet! She passed out as strong arms caught her on the way to the floor.
This was a hilarious situation where the reader knew what each character thought they were there for, while the dialog was general enough to fit either situation. With the contract signed, and no likelihood of breaking it, would Georgia be forced to marry a 7-foot purple alien? What would Prince Kylin do when he realized Chad and Katie’s deceit? What was the future looking like for everyone now? Grab a copy of this book and see if there is any way to salvage the situation.

Forced to Marry the Alien Prince is Ms. Zenia’s first book in the collaborative In The Stars Series. Georgia has a dream of teaching children on a different planet about cultures and languages. Kylin, the crown prince of Mixis, dreams of his perfect companion, a wife to share his empty home and responsibilities with. When Georgia’s brother pranks both Georgia and Kylin with an arranged marriage, is it possible to still find their happily ever after, or did Chad get the best of them both?
I had a fun time reading this book! In the beginning, I was curious as to why Georgia fell for her brother’s tricks as well as how Chad could have gotten a crown prince to agree to meeting him, but as the story continued, I got sucked into the book and I really liked Georgia’s character. She was sweet and caring, considered others, and was focused on following her dream. Kylin was fierce and loyal, and really felt a strong connection to Georgia. Their love was slower to build, but their friendship and unity against Chad provided a strong foundation for their love! I enjoyed this book and look forward to what may come next from Ms. Zenia!

This is a fascinating, intriguing book and I really have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The book is about a rather gullible young female teacher (Georgia) who's brother (Chad, a professional prankster) tell her about an opportunity of a lifetime for a teacher . Georgia goes to the interview, not realizing she is being interviewed for a arranged marriage with a Mixian Prince (Kylin) and from here the journey begins. What you will find in this delightful book is: drama, intrigue, adventure, action, twists & turns, humor, pranks, deceit, misconceptions, satisfying revenge, lust, passion and love. I found the story-line and plot, highly entertaining and it certainly kept my attention. The characters are well developed and entwine well with each other. I would recommend this book.

When the prank is on you. She loves her brother but his pranks were all he cared about. When he pranks her both their lives and one alien prince’s will change. A romantic story that takes a mean spirited prank and turns it into a love story. I love that the main female character is able to take a bad situation and make it positive. She helps make life so much lighter for others.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
Georgia is conned into thinking that she is teaching English to Mixian Children.
Kylin is conned into thinking that He is signing a business contract.
When they find out the true, what would they do ?
The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
