Excellent history of medieval peasants. Some things seem to have been lost in translation to a degree (originally written in German), and the focus is primarily on the medieval German peasantry. Covers many topics, from comparative housing foundations to politics. Absolutely worth reading if you want to learn about the subject.

Still the best overview of medieval peasants on offer. Mostly focuses on Germany.
