An adorable children's picture book with a lovely rhyming story about a puppy who goes astray at playtime and gets lost and worries he won't be back in time to meet his new family for puppy pickup day.

I love it
The story is beautifully written and the illustrations are gorgeous. My daughter, who loves dogs, enjoyed every word and constantly flipping back the pages to read it over again. I would recommend this book. I love it.

Fun read
Cute and fun read. The book is well illustrated and ,y two year old loved looking at the artwork as I read this book to her. Highly recommended.

Nice Story
My five year old nephew Aiden thought the book was super cute. We enjoyed reading the book together. He liked the little puppies as they were so cute and tiny.

Engaging story. Great illustrations!
This book is super fun and engaging. My 2yo clapped and laughed as the story unfolded. She was so happy to see the ending. This one is a keeper.

The sample I previewed was beautifully illustrated. The storyline seems to be age appropriate and the few pages I was able to review were well written. For all the Labradoodle, Goldendoodle and Doodle lovers, this is a must if you have children.

A pack of labradoodle puppies looks forward to meeting their new families. The smallest puppy gets lost during his return home and almost misses his chance.
The illustrations in Puppy Pickup Day are gorgeous and it’s no wonder, they’re by highly-pedigreed artist Len Smith. He’s perhaps most associated with his work on Toontown in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and his character designs for shows like Tailspin, but he’s an experienced freelancer who has worked for dozens of children’s properties. Of course, the characters designs here are great, but I particularly admired his details on the water, leaves, and textured grass.
The writing is sweet, alternating from an adventure tale as the smallest puppy rushes home, to an introspective story about insecurity. The smallest puppy feels less desirable than his siblings, but his new family goes right to work easing his concerns.
I picked up a kitten last year who had three brothers and a protective mother. Sometimes I wonder if my cat remembers that separation, especially when he goes berserk every time another tuxedo cat appears in our yard. It’s pleasant to read this book and imagine the inevitable reality of puppy separation and placement in a new family as something to look forward to.

This heartwarming and inspiring story begins on the Puppy Pick up Day. A very special day for the little Labradoodle and his seven other siblings who believe that their lives are just about to change. They are well fed, cleaned and ready for their big day. All the Labradoodles are excited about meeting their new families especially the youngest pup. He is much smaller than other puppies and when he tries to play with them, he struggles because he is too small. He struggles in the game of tug of war, can’t catch a single ball and falls off the slide. Depressed, he follows two rabbits under the fence and soon realizes that he’s lost. He seeks help from his animal friends, and a large dog named Abra. Will he be able to find his way back home, and have the possibility of meeting his new family? As they finally arrive to see the puppy, he is extremely nervous to meet them and wonders if they will love him and accept him for the way he is?
He asks himself: “Could this new family love a clumsy pup,
whose legs had trouble keeping up;
who needed help after too many falls,
failed at tug and couldn’t catch balls?”
The little pup finally gathers the courage and gives them a smile and tries to stand still. With the help of love and affection shown by his new family, The Little Labradoodle, who is now named Brady, finally overcomes his insecurities. This is the first book in the Little Labradoodle children's book series, which takes the readers to an interesting and fun adventure of little pup, it's such a cute story which made me emotional for Brady, he ends up into situations which weren't meant for him but it was so much fun to join him, the language is extremely simple and flows amazingly. This book is not just for kids but for everyone who expects a well written adventurous story with a beautiful message.

There are many touching scenarios, things felt so real and it's definitely one of my most favorite book because of the amazing characterization and an unexpected adventure. I will highly suggest this book for kids as well as for teens, also people who enjoy picture books will love it because the illustrations here are so gorgeous, they will certainly make you fall in love. Gift it to the kid you know.

The little Labradoodle was excited about this being puppy pickup day. They would all get a new home and family today. They all went outside to be ready. The others wouldn't let him, he was too little. He saw some rabbits on the other side of the fence and went to play with them. They ran further and further. Our little Labradoodle was lost. Would he get back in time to get his new family? The best way to find out is to listen/read. Have fun and happy reading!!!!

Kids will love waiting with the children coming to pick up their new puppy, and will be caught up in the clumsy escapades the playful little labradoodle gets into while trying to get back home in time. The musical rhythm of the words will surely get many of the pages repeated! Such lively, up-close pictures will be very popular too!! Love the illustration and the story itself. The entirety is about Brady, who I love. The story is about puppies finding new homes but when they are out to play Brady gets lost. It mentions several things, his size, he is smalller than the other puppies. He gets lost and finds his way home. The whole story is a story to share with kids younger to learn intesting things.. I rate this a 5 stars.

This is a sweet children's book, brilliantly illustrated by Len Smith, telling of a labradoodle puppy's adventure when he gets lost while playing, but has to get home urgently, as it is the day that the new families are coming to collect the puppies. It's a lovely read, and when I read it with my nieces they both adored it too. I'd highly recommend it to all children who love dogs and we would definitely love to read more stories in the Little Labradoodle series.

This book is one I love. You can read it just as is and tuck your child in for the night or you can read each page and have a true discussion. Discuss bullying, acceptance, judging others without knowing them and so much more. The illustrations in this book are eye catching and are sure to grab a child’s attention no matter if they are 1 or 101! I truly enjoyed this book! April M. Cox has written a beautifully rhyming story about seven little puppies whose day has come to go to a new home! But wouldn’t you know it on pick up day one little puppy would go astray. Would he miss out on going to a new home? The illustrations are fantastic. Boys and girls will love this book.

Being left behind is no fun for a dog that is scheduled for adoption. This is what occurs in The Little Labradoodle. Running into other friends and getting lost is such a detour for this puppy. They are sure to miss adoption day with all the mishaps that occur. However, a happy ending makes the book a must-read.

I adore this book. My nephew and niece thoroughly enjoyed reading the adventures of the little Labradoodle. The illustrations are beautiful and playful and the dialogue is fun to read. A lively and encouraging story especially for all those who feel they are too small and not good at anything. The littlest Labradoodle gets lost in the fields on the day when puppies are to be collected by loving families. Will he get back in time? Will the family overlook his shortcomings? Brady, the runt of the litter is excited upon awakening. He and his siblings are groomed and waiting for their new families. He goes out to play. He gets list. Upon return everyone is gone. Ms cox’s writing style is enjoyable. Like the rhyming passages. Illustrations are outstanding. Colors are muted but still vibrant.

What a gorgeous book!! A wonderful, heart warming story line with good messages for children. I loved the rhyming and sing-song feel of it, very catchy and easy for kids to read along to. The illustrations were just gorgeous too, very cute puppies!!

The rhyming in this book made it just as cute as the puppies did. I loved how all the animals helped out. Very cute story for the little ones to snuggle up to bed with. This story and the coloring and activity pages such a great idea!
