Zoe Chant loves writing paranormal romance. Over a cup of tea (or something stronger) she whips up sexy tales of hunky heroes and adventurous heroines to tantalize and satisfy her readers. Sizzling hot romance, no cliffhangers!
While series should ideally be read in order, all of Zoe’s books are standalones and can be read in any order. This includes books within series.
I have rarely read MMF stories and the ones I have read were strictly relationships between people. Also, this anthology about dragons who take two mates was quite different from the dragon storylines I usually read. The dragons' customs, their civilizations and their mating habits were so divergent from what I have been reading as mainstream dragons that I needed to spend more time identifying and understanding the relationships between the main characters. This was not a bad thing, as being challenged with something unfamiliar can be and was thought provoking. The stories moved the action along quickly. In fact, I would have liked to have longer endings, maybe even some epilogues. For example, how did Marcus, Rafe and Sunniva fare at the Council meeting? I got so engrossed in these stories I was up all night. Happy reading!
I read Hearts of Stone by Lauren Esker as a standalone. It was written for this anthology but an expanded version was recently released and that’s what I read (but it’s not in GR yet and I want to enter this while I remember)
A collection of short stories featuring the romantic tales of different polyamorous relationships involving two men and one woman (of which one of them can turn into a dragon). The settings and plots of said romances vary a lot, but they all include erotic scenes, so this is not a collection for kids; as you could probably tell from the cover.
I had a lot of fun reading this! The only thing I didn't fully enjoy was the high does of insta-love here, which isn't really my thing (thus the four stars instead of five), but I don't blame the writers for going for that trope - it's a big part of romance literature. It's just not my cup of tea.
If you like the premise of the collection, you'll likely find a story that you'll enjoy. The first ones, Heart of Stone and The Neighbors Might Talk are urban fantasy stories that focus mainly on the romance. Next up you have The Dragon's Choice, which introduces a more alt-world setting, though the focus remains mainly on the triad and their meet-cute. Then we head on to Never Get Between a Dragon and his Treasure and Dragon Rising that dive deeply into the alt-world setting, bringing in a little science fiction, and a lot more drama and conflict not related to the romance (and we even get a female dragon!) Then we end on Penny, Clover, Rabbit Foot which stays alt-world and very science fantasy, but goes back to focusing more on the building relationship between the triad (though with a fun twist on the dynamics of different sexualities!)
All in all, a varied and fun collection! All the stories won't be a five-star for all readers, because that's just how reading works, which is why I think it's so great that the stories were all so different from each other. That's a sign of a good story collection. Recommended!
Extra bonus: All profits from buying this collection goes to OutRight Action International, which works to protect the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people in the whole world! How great is that?!
I downloaded this collection for the dragons and sex, and I stayed for the stories. The title tells you everything you need to know before going in. I really enjoyed the different versions of shape-shifting dragons and where they came from. My favorite one is "Dragon Rising" with "The Dragon's Choice" a close second. I liked every story in the book, though. I definitely have found some new authors to check out.
I have read the stories by Lauren Esker, Zoey Chant and Juno Blake so far and have loved all three! The only bad thing is I wanted more. I have read Zoe Chant before but now I have discovered more authors to add to my must read list. If you enjoy mmf books you will like these stories too.
Some of the stories took a bit too long to get into. Some of the stories were extra hot. I found more stories I liked then not. If there comes are not ur thing don't read these. If you don't care and think why not love is ok you will enjoy most of the stories. I found I was not too disappointed and maybe few authors I would enjoy reading more from.
ZOE CHANT - DRAGON’S CHOICE I love the ethos of this story. Imperfections and problems are not what is important when looking for a life mate or two. LAUREN ESKER – HEART OF STONE ELVA BIRCH - THE NEIGHBORS MIGHT TALK JUNO BLAKE - NEVER GET BETWEEN A DRAGON AND HIS TREASURE HARRIET BELL - DRAGON RISING LARKIN DAILEY - PENNY, CLOVER, RABBIT'S FOOT
I actually bought the set because of the cause it supports, but I was thrilled to find I enjoyed each story. My to be read like list may never get shorter because I've found some new authors that I'm going to HAVE to follow.
I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of these stories!! They were short but so full of life!! Each author brought their own tales and new worlds to life beautifully!
Absolutely brilliant menage dragon shifter stories. I almost (no almost about it) wish each story was full length. They each captivated me for carrying reasons but all had good smexy times❣️
I liked all of the books but I liked some of them them more than others. If you lik bisexual polyamory and shifter romance then you’ll probably like this collection of short stories.
Erotica with all threesomes involving a dragon. I bought it for a charity and found most stories easily readable; the sex was all right but I think I'd need more story to make any of it really hot.
