My Review:
This was a book that I breezed so quickly through here. I really Loved the feeling of adventure and some magic where I didn't expect it. Of course, I haven't read this author in quite a while so maybe she always implements it and I just forgot that she does that.
A Storm of Love is a story about a protective hero, a heroine that has been dealt a very unlucky deck of cards but still tries to do her best to do what is right. These two come together when our hero needs a healer to save his sister's life but doesn't expect to fall in love along the way. This does have a plot aspect that might not work for everyone because its not written as a standalone, it will make you want to read the whole series. I am curious to see how the serial plot will end up working out though so will be trying out this series.

I'm not quite sure what I expected, but a Medieval paranormal was not it. The *year* is 1083 and there's this guy Breac who is in a hurry to bring the medicine he has for his sick sister. He comes across this woman Aigneis who has been beaten and left for dead (or something like that). Breac takes her with him and the two strangers have hot sex pretty much from the get-go. There's some mystery surround Aigneis that has something to do with her husband and a Sith Prince.
The best thing I can find to say about this novella is exactly that - it was short. It is now over and I can move on. Another kindle freebie bites the dust.
PS, as for all the hot sex they're having, some might find it hot. I do not. Example,
"His body was magnificent, young and strong and in his prime, and even now it responded to the call in the song. His prick thickened and lengthened, standing forth from the nest of dark brown curls at its base. The song came from within her, swirling sounds in the air, glimmering like fireflies around them."

The blurb they have on Goodreads describing this book is incorrect. It states it is a vampire book. I just finished it and it is NOT a vampire book! Here is the correct blurb from Amazon: The wild lands of Argyll hold no promise for a woman cast away--until a younger lover draws Agneis

This is a novella, on the Nook there are 81 pages. As a short novella I think Terri Brisbin did a pretty good job of telling a complete story. I do think here could have been more development of the characters.

So..this novella was seriously lacking! It felt like it was nothing but sex until the end when you get to the storyline that ties it into this series. I wish Brisbin would have developed Aigneis' character a little more...like explaining more about her time with the sith instead of having this quick tell all at the very end! Meh!

1083 AD finds Breac weathering a storm as he hurries home to his ailing sister. He interrupts the beating of Aigneis by men who call her a witch. Being the good man he is he takes Aigneis home to care for his sister. But the sister is dead. What will he do with Aigneis?

This one was *alright*. It takes place in the 1090's but seems a bit out of this world for me. I liked it but it most certainly wasn't one of my favorites...

Good short story, lots of unanswered questions that left the story incomplete and they weren't answered till almost the end.

It was ok, just seemed like there should of been more to it. I think that if there had been more to it, I would of liked it better.
