Kai jis baigiasi, negalime pakartoti. Niekas nesuteikia antros galimybės.

A classic fairy-tale with a modern twist is what you discover when you read Miss white and the Seventh Heir. Jennifer Faye has taken a well known story and added her own mark to it.

You will not find this to follow the Snow White story you grew up with and loved. The characters of the dwarfs are mentioned through an interview process and never make another appearance. We do however keep Happy, the adorable puppy that captures center stage whenever he is in the scene. The wicked step-mother keeps her unnatural youthful appearance with the help of plastic surgery. There is a Prince, he is the heir to a publishing empire and has many issues to work through.

I loved that the characters are flawed and working to do and be better. This book is easy to read and enjoy. The romance isn't rushed, it begins as a reluctant friendship. The friendship is one of the highlights of the book. The characters how that positive relationships lead to a happy and productive life.

I enjoyed my time in this book. I give it a high recommendation. The book has kissing and fade to black intimacy. It also contains innuendo.

Another wonderful book by Ms. Faye. A modern take on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Lot of emotions and a sweet little dog named Happy.

Sage White would do whatever she needed to do in order to save QTR magazine. She did however need an assistant. When the first six just wouldn’t go she almost lost hope. The seventh one seemed to almost fit the bill. Trey Renault she would give a trial run. He worked hard.

Trey Renault was hiding something. He needed to know what magic Sage had over QTR magazine. There was something about her that got to him. She cared, and she worked hard. Little did she know what he was doing. What would she do once the truth was out of the bag, and she discovered his true identity?

Must read.

Fractured Fairy Tale of Good vs Evil and Healing

Sage White has been betrayed and deprived of what should have been hers. Trey Rousseau has been told one side of his broken life and hatred is burning inside him. QTR Magazine is the stage where lives are changing and Happy the dog enters as a new catalyst for Sage and Trey. Evil Stepmother Elsa has her secrets that can ruin her. Jennifer Faye spins the twists and turns as emotions rollercoaster up and down. The classic underlying tale has modern settings and characters with depth and real emotions. Vivid pictures play across your mind as this story keeps you engaged until the last page is turned. Five stars for this second book in the series. What will be next? I cannot wait to read it.

Sage is a strong main character who is doing her absolute best in order to escape the prison that her stepmother has tried to put her in. When she finally got into the publishing world, her stepmother used the links she had from her corrupt publishing company in order to blacklist Sage from every company. She finally got into QTR, but the company is on its last legs. Her mother is working overtime to make sure that the company will stay in the negative, and she’s not the only one that is working against her.

Quentin hates his father and wants to see his business go down. He worms his way into the company by disguising who he was and applying for a job, but when he arrives, he doesn’t see the old woman that he expected to be running the company. Instead, it’s a young woman who has captured his eye, who also happens to be his boss. Now he has to decide on whether to bring the company down like he initially planned for years, or to help Sage with her complicated life.

This book is unique in some ways, but it is also mainstream in others. Rather than the typical office romance with the male boss and the female secretary, the roles are completely switched. Also, there is the inclusion of the evil stepmother just to make it the fairy-tale retelling that it needed to be. I only wish that there had been seven dogs or puppies, just to have the seven dwarves.

Nevertheless, it is not free of the typical romance tropes. Quentin/Trey is described several times as “tall” with “mysterious dark eyes.” If I had a dollar every time I see a character described as having “mysterious dark eyes” in romance literature, I would be rich! I was a bit disappointed when I saw that it used these usual descriptions, but it did not affect my score because it didn’t really affect how I enjoyed the rest of the novel.

The plot was fast moving and told from the POV of Trey, Sage, and Sage’s stepmother Elsa. The POVs were not confusing even though it was not announced at the beginning of each chapter which character was speaking. The world-building was also unique, as I found myself enjoying the description of the gala, the chateau, and even the office. This novel definitely didn’t just focus on the romance and forget the rest of the story. Everything flowed smoothly, and I read the entire 250-page novel in about 70-80 minutes.

There were no editing or spelling errors, even though this was an advanced edition. There weren’t even any plot holes that hadn’t been wrapped up by the end of the novel! For a short book, everything was done in a nice and orderly fashion. I had nothing to complain about.

I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

Sage White is a beautiful and talented woman who is trying so hard to make QTR the publication it used to be. She has six months to prove herself and with less than a month to go, she is not sure the magazine will stay open and that she will have a job. Unfortunately, she has been lied and cheated out of a huge inheritance and control of White Publishing Company by her wicked and deceitful stepmother. She is almost thirty and has been fighting and not giving up since she turned eighteen so why stop now?

When she gets a resume from Trey (not his real name) who is applying for a position as her assistant she is beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. With an invitation to attend the Cannes Film festival, this could be the break she needs with time running out. While they seem to be getting along very well they also seem to both be developing feelings for each other.

Who is Trey really? When she does find out his true name Quentin Thomas Rousseau III, (the newly appointed CEO of QTR) it is not only shocking but deceitful as she believed in him and more importantly trusted him.

Sage and Quentin have to talk and unfortunately, it is never the right time. How can they work together when they are on opposite sides He is planning on closing down the publication and she was hoping to turn it around.

Leave it to Ms. Faye to make this story into a magical fairytale adventure. Sit back and enjoy this delightful read and yes sometimes things that seem impossible like dreams, really can come true.

MWatSH is the second book in the Once Upon A Fairytale duet but don’t worry, it is a standalone. I recommend book one as well because Ms. Faye has put her own spin on the fairytales of old.

I really enjoyed this book, read it in one evening, and was pulled right into the story. Overall about the book: the story just flowed. For me, it never dropped my interest, as some stories do, and pulled me from chapter to chapter. I’ll jump right in and tell you that the stepmother character? Whoa. I loved to hate her. Total witch! And that’s before I associated her with the old fairytale. Some of her lines were priceless. I sat here shakin’ my head and laughing, thinking to myself, how can no one see how evil this woman is? Great characterization; totally believeable.

Ultimately, the story is about Sage White and Quentin Rousseau III (or Trey as Sage knows him). I won’t retell the story as the author does it so well that I would do it injustice. Know that Sage and Trey both have major family issues to work thru, both are holding back from the other. and it’s the actual “work” that they share which brings them together. Neither of them thinks that they, personally, deserve happiness or love but as we all have come to expect from our romances, they eventually work it out.

Great story, I found myself smiling long after I had read ‘the end’, and cannot say enough about it. SO happy I was able to purchase this book and read it right away.

What a delightful romance. Jennifer Faye’s- Miss White And The Seventh Heir, is a spectacular book of a modern day take on a classic fairytale story.
But don’t let that fool you, it has a plot twist that pulls a reader in and will not let its grip on your heart go.

Sage White loved her father, grew up playing in his publishing office as a second home and was her daddy’s shadow. He always told her as she set behind his desk looking out over the city of New York, “one day this will be your legacy!”

Elisa White, Sages’s stepmother, now runs White Publishing and has made it her mission to see Sage fail at every aspect of her life.
But can this evil stepmom truly win or will her deception get the best of her?

Trey Renault has a mission, one that he he’s determined to see to the end. Now the CEO of QTR, he works as an undercover assistant at his father’s magazine, he wants see it fail one way or another, but first he must take care of the new managing editor, Sage White.
Trey’s in for a huge surprise, not only will he find the truth out about his absent father, but his heart is fixing to deceive him.

So jump on this fairy tale romance. Ms. Faye always delivers heartwarming books, sprinkled with comedy, and a huge helping of desire!!!

Sage White had a doting father and a thriving publishing business. However, when her father becomes ill and passes away, he leaves his entire empire to Sage's stepmother, Elsa. Elsa refuses to share the empire and exiled Sage from the publishing world. Sage isn't going to let her beloved father's legacy be run by her cruel stepmother without putting up a fight. Sage accepts an editor job at a rival magazine, QTR. Sage struggles to maintain her workload while keeping the magazine afloat. She decides to hire an assistant but something about the assistant isn't quite right. Will Sage be able to regain her father's company? Who is this mysterious assistant?

This modern-day retelling of Snow White was a fun read. Both Sage and Trey are dealing with their own issues with trust, parents, and "abandonment". They have trouble trusting each other, especially when, they both get betrayed by each other. I found it odd that one person wanted to be forgiven because their intentions were good but they couldn't forgive another person as quickly. Overall, it was an enjoyable book and I can't wait to read more books by the author.

With the second book in her Once Upon a Fairytale series, Jennifer Faye brings us a story with a twist of a modern day Snow White! An evil step-mother has treated Sage unfairly and it's up to her to find the proof to oust her from her father's company and house once and for all! The characters are easy to like and the story is fast paced and fun. The romance is a tad light, but the overall story addictive.

Magazine editor Sage White is finally in the position to achieve the greatness she's always known she was destined for, but she's swamped with work! Hopefully the hiring of a new assistant will help ease her work load enough to concentrate on impressing the board of directors enough to continue to fund the magazine.

Trey Renault lands the job of Sage's new assistant fairly easily, but he's shocked at the amount of work she demands from him. She's a hard worker herself and doesn't take flack from her employees. He likes that about her ... along with about a million other things! A working trip together leads to temptation that might be too hard to resist ... but also lets his secret out of the bag. He's really Quentin Rousseau III ... and her boss!

Miss White and the Seventh Heir is the second in the Once Upon a Fairytale series but can be read as a stand alone story. This is a modern day take on Snow White and her evil stepmother. Sage White was raised by a loving father after her mother passed away at an early age but after he re-marries, he passes away leaving Sage to the mercy of her jealous stepmother. With the family home, business and her reputation taken away by Elsa, Sage finds a job trying to restore the reputation of QTR magazine when the CEO is asked to step down. Quentin Rousseau III better known as Trey grew up with a bitter mother and absentee father whom he believed abandoned him for his work with QTR. Now that he is the CEO after is father resigned, he is determined to close down the magazine in retaliation to his father but when he goes undercover as an assistant to the new editor, his thoughts start changing. As they work together, they grow closer and feelings develop but both must overcome the past in order to have their happily ever after. This is a wonderfully sweet story with engaging characters that will entertain until the very last page.

“Miss White and the Seventh Heir” is book two of Jennifer Faye’s duet Once Upon a Fairytale.

Sage White is tasked to bring QTR magazine back into respectability while Trey Rousseau intends to shut it down.
Going undercover, Trey is hired as Sage’s assistant and, against his better judgment, starts to admire and respect what Sage is trying to do.
Sage, having lost her place in her family’s publishing empire because of the evil-doings of her stepmother, is focused on her job at QTR and is intent on not being betrayed again.
Trey is all about getting back at his father (who owns QTR) for leaving him and his mother and that is by closing the magazine.

While I thought the scenes with Elsa, the evil stepmother, bordered on being believable, she truly is unlikeable. Which, after all, is the author’s intent.

Ms. Faye’s “Miss White and the Seventh Heir” is a good mix of old and new of this well-known childhood fairytale.

This is a cute romance with a fairy tale twist. We have the witch of a step-mother in Elsa White. A woman determined to destroy our main character Sage White so she can keep the publishing empire her husband build for Sage.
Sage is now on the opposite side of the country, trying to save a failing publishing company. When she hires Trey Rousseau as her PA, she is unaware that Trey is going undercover. He is the new CEO of the company who is determined to close it up.
It was fun to watch these two interact. They both have trust issues and are sure that happiness and love is not for them.
What happens when Sage discovers Trey’s identity? Will she lose her chance at love or will they get their HEA?
Another fun story by Ms Faye.

Miss White and the Seventh Heir is the second book in the Once Upon a Fairytale series by Jennifer Faye. This book can definitely be read as a standalone. By reading the title you would think we would be getting a modern day Snow White story. This book has many similarities yet definitely its own unique spin.

Sage and Trey both come from wealthy families with heartache that's lead them to where we are today. Sage gets the evil step mother and all. This book is sweet and intriguing. I loved the journey of catching Elsa in her evil ways. This modern Day Snow White story is worth the couple hours it will take you to read it!

Sage White is trying so hard to save QTR magazine. She learned from her Dad how to manage White Publishing yet when he died an evil stepmother stole her inheritance. Sage doesn’t trust anyone anymore. Quentin Thomas Rousseau III, (Trey), the newly appointed CEO of QTR Magazine blames the magazine for his Father leaving him and his Mother and wants to shut it down. The only way to see what is going on is to apply for Sage’s Assistant. Will he see that Sage is determined to succeed? I really liked the way the characters respond to each other. Trey and Sage are so hurt by family that I was beginning to think this fairytale wasn’t going to have a happy ending - Love always wins! Great book by my favorite Author, Jennifer Faye.
Highly recommend.

Jennifer Faye takes us back to our storybook stories but gives them a modern twist. In Miss White and the Seventh Heir we find our Snow White as Sage White, managing editor of QTR Magazine who needs a personal assistant. In walks our seventh dwarf Trey Renault. Trey is not who he appears to be. Learning to trust is hard for Jennifer but Trey begins to earn her trust and her heart. Trey is out on a mission, but finds that goals and life can change without warning. What happens when love gets involved? Well, for our modern day Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs it appears anything can and does.

I quite enjoyed this book. I really liked the settings, particularly when they travelled to Cannes, however I felt like I didn't really get to know the characters very well. I like to feel like I get a rounded picture of the characters when I read a book, but I didn't feel like I knew anything about them outside of their workplace setting (like Sage's roommate was mentioned, but we never met her or even got to read about Sage at home, only at work). It was well written though, I just like to get to know characters well.

Jennifer Faye is a phenomenal author. I loved this book, and I couldn't put it down. Sage and Trey are dealing with things in their past that are still affecting them. They prove to be a powerhouse team, and together, they confront their problems and work to resolve them. The team of employees that work for Sage are amazing, and are like a family to her. I highly recommend this book, especially if you love an amazing story with great characters, and a sweet dog.

What a truly delightful story. Sage and Trey are the main characters and they work wonderfully together. Neither are being completely truthful with the other and each has family issues they are dealing with, so needless to say they have a lot of obstacles to get past before they find their HEA. That sounds a little heavy but it's not. This is actually a light easy read that will leave you smiling. I definitely recommend it.

This book totally surprised me as I thought of the original fairy tale. It is imaginative and clever. Throw in sexy Trey, a few lies, and a wicked stepmother and I found I could not put this book down until I finished it. Then I was sad that I had finished it. You cannot help but fall in love with Sage White, Trey Rousseau III, and Happy. I am sure I will reread this book again! A good read. Not "On-the-edge-of-my-seat" suspenseful reading, but definitely one that kept me enthralled and eager to keep reading. It was sweet to watch how Sage and Trey's need for one another would play out. Purpose, redemption, forgiveness, love... all a part of their story. The fairytale twist was fun, too.

This book is a fun and romantic take on the classic Snow White fairytale.
Sage and Trey are both hard-working and dedicated, but because of family issues neither trusts people easily. After several setbacks, they'll have to learn to rely on each other to save their future together.

I really enjoyed this romance. I received this book for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.7* rating. It is not for the under 18 readers. There is some sexual content and a very wicked step-mother. Despite that, it has a very happy ending. A nice weekend read.
