I believe this book is great for children that are interested in animals; elephants in particular. It talks about where the elephant lives and describes the environment. As well as their environment, it talks about how the elephants survive in the hot savanna in Africa. They use mud as sunscreen to protect their skin from sunburn and they drink water from their trunks when its hot. It also talks about the different things they can do with their trunk and their tusks as well. It even has a couple of pages about the baby elephant also.

the elephant is the biggest land animal and lives in the dessert. it uses mud as sunscreen so that it skin will not burn. they also use there trunks like hands. they pick up branches, leafs, and grass with them. elephants tusk are use to break down branches and little trees. the babies stay close to there mothers and sometimes the wonder off. mother teaches babies how to use trunks for the first couple if months.

this book was mainly about elephants taking care of each other. I really thought this book was good. I recommend this book for little kids that want to learn about this type of stuff like how they live in Africa, use mud as sunscreen, and grow tusks. And in the hot savanna how they keep cool using there trunks by getting water & through water all over them .

I enjoyed this book because it had really big pictures and the front was a perfect size. I also liked how it kind of shows how they live in the wild. i didn't know that elephants use mud as sunscreen. This also a great book because its bilingual.

Is a nice book. I learned that the biggest land of animals is in africa. I learned is that elephants shower themselves. Elephants eat grass and leaves all day. Elephants roll in mud so they dont get sun burn. This book is bilingual so that mothers that dont speak English could read to their child.

I will like to have an elephant as a pet. They look so nice. Elephants do a lot of work to keep there family safe. They do hard work. Like when there land is dry they have to walk a lot to find some food for them.

Such a cute book and very education for adults too. I learned that elephants can get sunburned as well and the mud is what helps protect there skin from burning. It's cute how they show where elephants are from and teach in a simple way.
