A small group of adults have been invited to a reunion at their old high school to remember the loss of their classmate Kiriko, after receiving a letter "From K."
Not knowing who "K" is, Ryosuke, a young man with short black hair that used to know Kiriko, has to uncover the truth of Kiriko's mysterious death. As he slowly regains his memories and his fellow classmates start suddenly dying around him in the most horrific manner, he realises that it's far too late to say sorry.
👌🏻 Premier tome d'introduction
3.5/4 stars for this horror. The pacing was relatively quick as it was a standalone which felt fine for the story considering it was a pretty trope-esque tale. The art was amazing and total props to the writer for composition but sadly the story just felt kind of flat and typical but served it's purpose as a horror. Though I predicted the initial twist the final twist surprised me a bit so that was fun. Overall of you're looking for a horror experience to quickly consume I'd recommend
been a long time since i’ve seen such horrifying and scary art, enough to give me chills. Plot twists are unexpected and well executed. overall a great manga
After receiving a mysterious letter from "K," six people (in their 30s) have a reunion at their abandoned middle school years after one of their fellow students, Setsuko, took her own life under mysterious circumstances. It's a pretty standard story up until the final chapter where there's a nice little twist that surprised me.
I found "Kiriko" more hilarious than scary. I mean, she's a giant spindly monster wearing a schoolgirl uniform with ribbons in her pigtails. I immediately knew what she'd been through when I saw all the injuries on her body so her revenge was justified. (Even more justified when we learned the truth in flashbacks. Honestly, where were the teachers in this school?! And WTF, these kids were 12-15 years old!)
I personally enjoyed the gore. It had a nice ending. I appreciate when someone survives a horror movie and gets a new lease on life.
This was a decent little read. Better than a lot of the horror movies out there. 4/5
I read a translated version of this on the net, so it took a long while to finish it despite being a single stand alone manga. The art was beautiful and the story was engaging with a pretty good plot twist that I hadn't forseen coming. If you're a fan of ghost stories with a twist of 'who'done'it' than Kiriko is a good book to curl up with for the night an enjoy.

Old friends were invited to their abandoned high school for the death anniversary of one of their classmates, Kiriko. But who sent out the invite?
lovely art style, but it might be too vulgar for my liking. The first chapter sets the tone of the story well. It’s also incredibly grotesque, so it's not for the faint of heart. The story was quite meh, but it definitely piqued my interest. I kinda like the twist at the end too. Trauma does cause memory loss. I wish that the dissociative amnesia theme was explored more. The plot had so much potential, but just like their friendship , it went downhill.
