Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.
SWEET VALLEY UNIVERSITY Written by Francine Pascal General Review for series as I cannot remember each novel.
I read Sweet Valley University when I was in junior high school to high school. While there is sexual content it is very mild (not explicit) compared to teen books today. If you like the Sweet Valley High you will love this series as it continues with the twins' story as they attend University and are away from their parents. I am not sure how they would relate to teens today as this was before cell phones were common and social media. They are fun teen romances with "real-life" situation. I did not complete the series as I started to save for school so I wasn't able to collect them any further (they are out of print). I still have the books I bought and may try to read one again (I did reread the series a few times).
I don’t know how a book involving undercover police work, a lecherous father-in-law, and a hapless young man being roped into a drug deal by a psychotic sorority sister could be aggressively dull, but it was! Also Elizabeth gets thirsty for Todd at some point and notices “his long legs and the way his jeans came down over his high-tops”. As...one does?!

Jessica Wakefield’s latest boyfriend Nick Fox, is just what Jessica wants in a man, fun and exciting. But Nick is also mysterious. Jessica sets out to find out Nick’s secrets, but is it worth the risk?
Some storylines are really really dull, some are not. For once, I actually found Elizabeth's story to be ridiculously boring and unbelievable (or maybe that's just the Tom fan side of me talking). And, role reversal, for once (and continuing on through the entirety of the Nick Fox arc), Jessica has a really interesting role to play, one that just keeps getting better and better. I've got to say, of all of Jessica's random guys, Nick is the only one I actually liked, in character and in story. He's a great guy, and I'm just disappointed we didn't get a better ending for his story (and here, my first ever fanfic is born XD). I also enjoy reading about Enid/Alex, despite the minor role she plays, but she's finally starting to grow out of Alex, it seems, and that's great. And Celine's just a psychopath.

Have no fear, Sweet Valley University fans, Busted! is just as entertaining and exciting as the previous book, His Secret Past. It’s incredible how Francine Pascal and Lori John can continue to come up with entertaining plot twists that always make sense with the characters’ life paths.
Jessica and Elizabeth are both heartbroken and afraid in this volume, believing that their boyfriends have deserted them in their hours of need. While Jessica is secluded and isolated physically, Elizabeth faces her trouble emotionally alone. There’s no greater bond than sisterhood, and both twins tirelessly fight for each other. A true testament to sisterly love, trust, and faith, this book is fantastic and emotional. Don’t even think about skipping this one!
