From the darkly humorous imagination of NYT and USA Today best-selling author MaryJanice Davidson comes her first all-werewolf anthology. A SNICKER OF WEREWOLVES is the book Davidson's readers have been clamoring for: an all-werewolf collection of reprinted short stories and novellas, including out-of-print stories that are nearly impossible to find.
From a werewolf hunter as deadly as his quarry, to a blind werewolf who trips over the love of his life (literally!), as well as a lonely, cynical werewolf who doesn't believe in vampires (until one catches and, ahem, eats her), it's clear that falling for werewolves is as dangerous as it is deeply satisfying.
Whether you're looking for a chuckle or some seriously NSFW sex scenes, A SNICKER OF WEREWOLVES will deliver both--and hey, it's not like you have to choose, right?

More erotica/sex ( the juicy kind not the gentle kind) than anything else. Fortunately, the basic stories are pretty good except for one which involves the rape and kidnapping of a human woman (who naturally falls in lust love with her captor) I really hated that story.
These are all novellas and most of them take about an hour and a half to read. I'm sort of sorry that I actually bought this and didn't keep 'borrowing' it from KU when I wanted to read it.
I was so excited to see a compilation of the Wyndham Werewolf books together in a set and even better, in Kindle Unlimited. Though this has two books I have not ever read, Speed Dating, Werewolf Style and Incomer, I was sad that Derik’s Bane was not included, as this would have rounded out the set nicely. So very confusing and very difficult to get a correct reading order for this series and these books are not really available any longer and are numbered differently under WYNDHAM WEREWOLVES as well. Some of my copies go back years and are paperback. Though not in correct order, it still read well. It was just a pity Derik’s Bane and a couple of other stories was not included.
THERES NO SUCH THING AS A WEREWOLF This is one of the few stories with the right type of sex scene. Love the blind werewolf doctor and thought Crescent was an interesting character. Loved the carry on with Janet. Great ending. SANTA CLAWS I just adore this cute and humorous story. I can read it over and over and still find it funny. Being lusted after in her Santa suit makes Giselle think Alec has lost his marbles. Alec gets caught in the scent of peaches wafting from one bell ringing Santa and has no problem waiting till she can go to lunch with him. Shaking down a meanie and some gun toting punks just helps the time go faster. Loved the bit where Giselle tells Alec she knows all about werewolves. LOVES PRISONER 2020 – a lot going for it but I would prefer this to be re-written to change the way Michael acts. It really just does not work then or now. I have owned most of the first few books in this series for ages and read them every now and then and though I love this book overall, I still can’t get past the fact that a forced seduction (technically rape) happens twice in this book. I can understand the basis for what happens in the lift but not the I will punish you time. I understand that books are make believe and that Michaels culture does not apply to human reasoning but he is traumatising Jeannie. What makes this even worse is I really do love the characters in this series. Jeannie is quite a strong heroine all the way through, as is evidenced nearly right from the beginning. Her self-defence would be great against a human but is pitiful against a werewolf, even though Jeannie sorts out Gerald, twice. With Michael, there is obviously a strong chemistry which works to Michaels advantage but it was just too sudden with the HEA insta love part. I laugh at the scene where Jeannie sorts out the attackers. JAREDS WOLF Jared is seeking revenge for the death of his sister and believes the Wyndham werewolves are responsible. Trying to gain entry to the Wyndham Mansion house, he runs across Moira and promptly tranqs her and takes her to safety, thinking he is saving her from the terrible things he has heard. Moira of course, is not about to let anyone hurt her pack, even if he is sexy. I laughed out loud at Moira taking off down the road in a duck covered shower curtain and found it amusing them both seducing the other for information. The banter between these two was so good. Poor Jared when the truth came out but I did applaud him chasing Moira down to apologise. MONSTER LOVE The stories in this series are scattered far and wide in different anthologies. Having owned most of the originals in this series for years, I was really excited to see this book in Kindle Unlimited as I assumed the series had been released again. Unfortunately this was not the case, only this book was in KU and book 3, Derik’s Bane, is available for purchase. I am hoping the rest of the series will also be redone and re-released. Though this still has the same forced sex scene as the shorter version which I am not keen on, the rest of the story really flowed better. Just needed some formatting and proofreading done to correct some errors. SPEED DATING, WEREWOLF STYLE – not read before Cain is a she wolf coming up on her thirtieth birthday in a few weeks. She is upset (and jealous) that a pact made as children with some of the others to stay unmated, has not been honoured. She enlists her best friend Saul to find her a mate by speed dating as many men as possible so she can be married by her birthday. Saul has always wanted Cain but has never acted on it and Cain is too blind to see how he feels. When all her dates end up a disaster and she finds out that Saul has sabotaged her, she gets extremely angry. But when Saul is hurt, the blinkers come off. Entertaining and light-hearted read but these two have wasted years by not communicating. I hope Michael dealt with that Geoff properly and showed him the error in his behaviour. INCOMER - not read before Lara has grown up and has taken over as alpha from her father Michael, who has RETIRED, sort off. This is a humorous read, mainly Sean the younger brother and his bacon fetish but also gives us flashbacks to Lara’s childhood and more about these crazy wolves. Lara also has a mate who helps her solve a problem.
The primary reason for the rating here is that the novel is not my style. If you like super-steamy romance novels, you will probably like this one. If the idea of unlikely circumstances leading to gratuitous sex scenes is not your cup of tea, you probably won't like it at all. I gave it three stars because giving a really poor rating on a book that's not your favorite genre doesn't seem fair. That being said, I think the author's writing style was pretty good. The characters where lively, as was the banter.
After enjoying the Queen Betsy series for many years which would take you away to a quirky world and make you lol. This connected series of the werewolves of Wyndham takes you back to well remembered characters who also have the ability to make you enjoy whiling away a few hours with a book.
This is a book with a few short stories. These are werewolf stories. There's a story about Michael and Jeanie. A story about Moira. And a story about Laura all grown up. There's also a story about Cain.
novellas and short story of the Wyndham werewolves
So many great characters in the Wyndham wolf pack. Some of the storiesI’ve read before, but it was great to re read them. I especially loved seeing a new story featuring the next generation of Lara and Sean Wyndham!
Trigger warning on this book. Multiple stories where the heroine was raped, but it was so good she fell in love. Absolutely disgusting and unable to finish the book.
