Standing over six feet tall, USA Today bestselling author Jonathan Moeller has the piercing blue eyes of a Conan of Cimmeria, the bronze-colored hair of a Visigothic warrior-king, and the stern visage of a captain of men, none of which are useful in his career as a computer repairman, alas.

He has written the DEMONSOULED series of sword-and-sorcery novels, and continues to write THE GHOSTS sequence about assassin and spy Caina Amalas, the COMPUTER BEGINNER'S GUIDE series of computer books, and numerous other works. His books have sold over one million copies worldwide.

Good

I love the concept of chains in the mind being more dangerous than physical chains. I really enjoyed reading Calem and Kalussa’s struggle against the Masked One. I am curious though if the Masked One is doing the things he’s doing out of his own free will or if he has chains in his mind as well. Cathala finally got what she deserved, which was good.

I don't know how great authors like Moeller mange to weave such a great series and continually keep it fresh after each and every new book. But Moeller once again succeeds in doing just that there in this one. With new enemies and new allies his books continue to keep the reader coming back for more. And in this latest one there was a nice happy little turn of events at the end that makes it all the better. But I've got a sneaking suspicion that things are going to get a lot worse before everything is said and done and I will be looking forward to it.

This book is a bit longer than the others but just as great. Still lots of action, great interactions between characters. On to the next one. I’m glad this series was completed before I started it, I would’ve been in misery if I had to wait

Absolutely marvelous. Ridmark and crew never seem to get boring for me. This time there is a new twist on how the villain acquires his magical power. Some very nice resolutions for both good and bad characters. Selene is a hoot. She's discovering that she may be vain and perhaps would like to be a matchmaker. Her self-discovery alone is worth the read.

Stirring Adventure

Ridmark and the remaining companions are pursuing a group of dvargir who have kidnapped Kalussa Calem and Krastikon and are taking them to Najaris. What awaits them there is a very dangerous adversary.
What follows is a full on tense adventure

A rousing adventure for the good guys.

This book tidied up the loose strings from the last one, and did it in a grand style. The story will continue in a couple of months.

I could not put this down. This series is not mucking around with the stakes, and given how the last book ended, I'm glad this one picked up right where it left off, and while I would have preferred it moved a little faster for my mental health, it kept up a good clip. The plot twists came thick and fast, some of which kept me guessing, but most of which were a little predictable. The climax turned up with a literal bang, and I couldn't put this down. The resolution made me grin an awful lot, and I can't wait to continue this series.

Spellbinding

Mr. Moeller is an artist with words. The story was captivating and I was unable to put it down until I finished it. I hate waiting for the next book. Wonderful story that had me on the edge of my seat. Totally was engrossed.

Serpent

Serpent was a fun read and had errors throughout. The characters are still fun and the plot is becoming repetitive. I still liked the book and look forward to the next one.

Another exciting story in the series

Gathered 4 of the Seven swords, lost 3 and finally regained them and destroyed another Maledictus near-God all while gaining help from unlikely sources. A keep you up past bedtime read.

Humor and action!

Just keeps getting better! Mr. Mueller adds new characters and new enemies in exciting ways. One of the new characters has a great sense of humor, which is a welcome addition. On to number 9!
