The LitRPG mech-heavy seventh book in the Feedback Loop series!
Quantum Hughes should have known better.
Stuck again, but this time in a way that even he couldn’t have predicated, Quantum and the Dream Team head to Steam to seek out Ray Steampunk. Their mission? Collect a rare Proxima metal and use it to develop a weapon to free Quantum from the Proxima Galaxy.
But things are never as easy as they seem. The Reapers are hot on their tails, and Strata Godsick has a pressing message for Quantum, a message that is especially poignant after something terrible happens to a Dream Team member.
It’s time to mech up and finish this once and for all.

Harmon Cooper has given us another stunning piece of work in The Feedback Loop series.
I really enjoy the antics and adventures that these characters get into, and, of course, the banter. Being Scottish, I do so enjoy the banter between them. The new tech is brilliant, and at one point had me in tears of laughter. The humour is fantastic and fits me to a T. I defy anyone not to giggle their way through this (and the other six books).
There are things that I would love to put down on here, however I would be taking away the enjoyment/shock/sadness/admiration/laughter** from other readers. Cooper writes so well and his words flow so easily that you will just zoom through this. I can't wait for the next one, I just love Quantum and his Dream Team. Buy the whole series (so far), sit back with a very large glass of your favourite tipple, devour the pages, and enjoy.
I received an eARC of this book which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All opinions are honest and my own.
**Are available in this book. These and other emotions can be widely found throughout The Feedback Loop series. NB Other books are available, but may disappoint.
Feedback Loop 7. One of the faster reads in the series. Quantum is still stuck in humandroid form and Frances is heavily miffed that he went back to the Loop and got stuck...again. Not a spoiler - that was FL6 and this picks the story up straight away.
The Brits play a very minor role in this installment and Aiden/Morning Assassin/MA is still the killing beast and loyal-as-ever star. Dr. Wang (chuckle always) plays an interesting role in this one - she sure does like Quantum when he is not in his body or in Proxima. Yeah - that will make sense.
There is one abrupt scene that I wasn't expecting, and one bit of closure.
And one line worth its weight in Sky Iron as Cooper manages to daintily toss in "This better not be a Human Centipede!" into an action-packed scene. Not a spoiler - just something to look forward to.
Here we are, finished FL 7 and only one remains in the series.

Quantum Hughes is stuck in a cyborg's body. And he has to mine a rare metal to get out. And fight the forces of evil in a fantasy world. All while he deals with his girlfriend not talking to him.
The cyborg/droid body isn't all bad--and it isn't all good. He gets instant info on everything--and popup ads. He knows how people feel, but his own feelings are suppressed.
Author Harmon Cooper keeps Quantum and his Dream team of virtual world rescuers questing after one goal after another. Free the prisoners from a city? No problem. Rescue the villain's daughter? They're on it. They hop from virtual world to real world and back again, surrounded by danger in both places.
Quantum and his team are pissed and now its time for the gloves to come off and the knuckle dusters on , as they start to take out the trash. The mutant hacks, inventory lists, obsecure pop culture references get wilder, the real world gets grittier and from the Loop to Steam is in for a hell of a ride in the best book yet. Can't say much as their is far too many spoilers in this one as EVERYTHING goes epic. If you enjoyed the previous books then you will love this and only wish you could give 6 stars.
Wow!! What a game changer for these heroes! I love how Quantum is changing, and how he becomes more of a boss saving the day! Looking forward to book 8, though it'll be sad for the series to end!
