Not my favorite choice, but it's filling a gap in my Animal Sounds selections until I can find a better Animal Sounds book for preschoolers. This one is slightly higher than toddler age, but might get boring to the preschoolers. Really the only thing I liked is what the preschoolers might enjoy--the imagined combinations of different animals.
This book is great for children to learn what sounds all of the animals make. Also, this book gives a good lesson on learning who you are and learning to love yourself. Kids sometimes have a hard time figuring out who they are, especially the really young ones, so it is good to let them know that it is ok to be themselves and act how they want to.
I read this book for the first time last year and I could not stop laughing; this has got to be one of my favorite books in the world - there's a hilarious surprise within its pages! This is a picture storybook that allows children to participate in the story by making animal sounds. It's a very fun read! Picture Storybook
This is an older book (2000) but is a great storytime rhyming book that fits the farm theme very nicely. The rhyming is so easy that by the second time you read it, it's memorized. Probably better suited for 2-3 year olds.
Thanks to Owl and after to trying to get the other farm animals to moo, Cow finds out why each animal makes their own sounds. Really good book introducing familiar animals.
This is a fun book to teach children patterns, repetition, animal noises and recognition, and to stir a conversation on what it would be like to be someone or something else.
This book is highly predictable. It talks about the different farm animals and the different noise each one makes. Each one is unique and they don't all make the same sound.
