Nightfall at Algemron is the third book in the Harbinger trilogy by Diane Duane. This book wraps up the trilogy but lacks the excitement of the first two. It goes off the rails a bit with too much mystical treatment of the long-dead aliens, who are potential allies, and the unknown enemies who are bent on the destruction of mankind and all intelligent life in the galaxy. Also, Gaberial Connor's treatment by the Concord, even after his role in saving the galaxy is disappointing.

The final volume of the Harbinger Trilogy. Gabriel Connor has his evidence to exonerate himself...but he also has to play a role in staving off a eldritch invasion of a Power so deadly that it was the death of everything in the age of 'the Glass Makers' who came before.

There are Chills and Shivers in this story as very old things wake up and walk like giants in the Dark.
