This was my history text book this semester. I thought it was comprehensive and less dull than most textbooks

I enjoy reading history. But this author is a very dry writer. Every page feels the same and any absorption is lost when it reaches your glazed eyes. If you want to read the early history of America, read it in sections by different authors.
