"I'm looking forward to falling in love with you all over again, Kory."
The second book in the Exposed Hearts series is for me a solid 3 stars read. It was fun to read and the characters are great as well as their chemistry. But I had some minor things that troubled me.
"He was amazing - always building me up. I felt like I could conquer the world with Hayden by my side."
The first thing that trouble me was that up until 50% of this book to me the whole story just went uneventful. There was nothing that sparked my interest and kept me glued to the pages. It also felt like Hollis and Deveny took up a great part in this book, like it was kind of prequel to their own book (if there's ever one to come).
But after reaching the point of 50% things changed. With the peak of the story, the author just slammed a big game-changer into your face you never saw coming. And for the next 30% the book got quite exciting and thrilling. But unfortunately soon enough it dropped back again to simply floating.
In addition to that, I really wished we would have gotten a prologue that showed us the first time Kory and Hayden bonded with a deeper connection. Just to get an opportunity to connect with those two and their chemistry more easily.

Hayden is a perfect book-boyfriend. He's caring and loves wholeheartedly not only with his heart but as well with his body and soul. His connection to Kory and his love for her pours out of his character, out of the pages.
Kory had a very unconventional upbringing. Living a life obliviously and practically in an invisible prison until she met Hayden realizing what's the actual life she wants to live. She's a fighter and Hayden gives her the strength to stand up for her dreams. She's equally loving and caring than Hayden. Together they are simply a great match.

Just because I had some minor issues with this book which I've stated in this review, don't let my review pull you off from reading Hayden's and Kory's story. As their story is something else and because the Foster Guys are really great ones you have to meet. Then soon enough you'll realize, that every girl should catch herself a Foster Guy.

Hayden and Kory's story is truly one of the author's Kristin Mayer's best work yet!
There were so many twists/turns, obstacles, unexpected surprises for this couple but together they navigated through the murky dark clouds to reach the light blue sky, which leads them to their well deserved happily ever after <3
Now, I must admit I was very intrigued as to who had captured Hayden's attention and heart in, "Intoxicated By You", which is Drake and his Alexa's story and all along, it was this girl, who hasn't had the childhood all children deserve to have nor the adulthood and freedom she desperately wants... I'm not revealing anything but what I really got to say is that some people really don't deserve the honor of being parents and yes, I'm referring to Kory's family, who in my honest opinion are freaking messed up!
Luckily, our girl, Kory, meets the sexy hunk, Hayden and at first they both agreed to a no strings attached, hot summer fling but they both started to develop feelings for each other and Kory knowing what her life has been planned for, leaves before Hayden finds out... Not for long though!!
After Kory reappears in Hayden's life again and explains why she left, these two pick up where they left off, well mostly, now they aren't a fling but the real deal :) But like always, life throws us curve-balls we must weave through and that's what happens here. The outside malevolent forces from Kory's past rear their ugly head and these two plus their friends and family bound together to protect Kory and keep her safe from harm at all costs...
Got to be completely honest, I loved Hayden's character so much :) He's actually one of my long list of alpha male book favorite boyfriends of all time! I loved the way he treated Kory <3 She really needed to feel loved, safe and protected and Hayden provided that and so much more <3 <3

Time and time again Kristin messes me up with her amazing surprises and crazy twists and turns! I can’t say how often I find myself mystified because she pulls out these amazing mysteries that have be baffled and blown away!
I love Hayden’s and Korys story because it picks up after the I love you’s! You get to see what happens as they figure and navigate the road to forever! What you don’t expect is that there’s a darkness to Korys light!
Blown away completely by this love story and gosh the Fosters are flipping amazing! I love this family to its core! 😍

Very enjoyable. Sweet and had a soft side to it with a touch of suspense.

Hayden and Kory had spent time together over the summer, until Kory unexpectedly went back home. They weren’t supposed to fall in love, it was just supposed to be a summer fling. Things don’t always work out how they should. Kory knew what was waiting for her back home, a marriage with a man she had known for a majority of her life, a marriage with a man she did not love.
Hayden, a self-proclaimed bachelor, was willing to change his life for Kory and he knew he needed to go after her. After showing up at her home and learning why she ran and what her parents had in store for her future he knew he needed to get her out of there and bring her back to Alaska and start a life with her.
I absolutely loved Hayden and Kory’s story. Sure, they could have gone back to Alaska and had their happily ever after and that would have been the story, however, the more the story went on the more secrets were revealed and the plot would thicken. I loved not knowing what was coming next, it kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put this book down.
The dynamic between Kory and Foster family was fantastic. The instant connection Kory, Devney and Alexa formed was beautiful and, as always, the brotherly bonding between Drake, Hayden and Kane was great. I found myself swooning, experiencing anxiety and laughing (the drunk group text had me laughing). I also loved that we got more of Hollis, I hope he gets his own story!
Wrecked for You is like riding a rollercoaster in the dark, you never know what is going to happen next and it definitely won’t be anything you expect. I can’t wait to read more in Kane’s book!

First, I need to say this, and anyone who has read this book, will agree. How the mighty will fall…. But, I am getting ahead of myself.
I absolutely LOVED this book, as well as the An Exposed Hearts series. Hayden and Kory are phenomenal together! The dynamics between them…. WOW!! This book took me thru the whole gamut of emotions, laughter, sadness, ANGER, that was a strong one. Her parents…. Just no words, other than they are nothing but greedy….. PG, have to keep this PG… They did slightly redeem themselves, but not by much. OH, on the emotional scale, I forgot to mention HOT!!! Some of the scenes between Kory and Hayden….sigh!!!
I loved seeing how Alexa and Drake, and Ike and Amie are doing. I can’t wait to read Kane’s story. One thing I was wondering, Ms. Mayer, will we ever read Amie and Ike’s story? There is just something about the dynamics of the Foster family and it began with them. Yes, I know this is just your story telling skills at work, buuuut….. And don’t get me started on Hollis and Devney, I cannot wait to read their story…smile!
Yes, this is a standalone book, in this series, but if you want to read another phenomenal story regarding the Foster family, pick up Intoxicated by You, the first book in this amazing series. I was gifted with a copy of this phenomenal book for my reading pleasure, and let me tell you, in my honest opinion, you cannot go wrong purchasing this outstanding book, or any other of Kristin Mayer’s book. She is just that great at story writing.

5 So Many Secrets Revealed Stars!!!
When I first started reading this book I thought to myself, this is going to a smooth, easy going love story about two people that find each other against any odds put in front of them…how very wrong I was!!!
This story has so many layers to it and Ms. Mayer gave us a story that is an emotional roller coaster and I loved every single page of it!!! Don’t get me wrong at the basis of this book is the love story between Hayden and Kory but holy moly there’s so much more to it…I was literally dumbfounded when we find out what the secret is and the why’s of Kory’s growing up years..and it’s a DOOZY!!!
While I loved the suspense of this book, I fell in love with Hayden and Kory. They’re so perfect for each other. They love each other with their whole hearts and the way Hayden and his family make this beautiful young woman a part of their family is wonderful.
There’re also some lighter moments in this book, especially when the three brothers and Hollis go ice fishing…. I was literally snort laughing because I could picture the scene in my head!!! This is one of the things I love most about Ms. Mayer’s writing is her ability to drop some much needed levity into a book that is so suspenseful!
Oh and the peek we get to Kane’s story, has me giddy!!! I have a feeling I’ll be laughing in this one as well just to lighten the seriousness of what’s to come!!

Imagine Drake and Alexa (Intoxicated By You) on love steroids; now you have Hayden and Kory.
We knew Hayden Foster had met someone, he gave us that much in Intoxicated By You. He wouldn't share any thing more except that she disappeared without a trace.
We meet Kory when Hayden shows up at her house to confront her. But when she opens the door and hugs him so tightly, he knows she didn't leave because she wanted to. Kory has never been free; her life has been completely laid out for her since she was 5 years old; laid out so much that she knows who she is to marry! When she took one last summer to find herself, she never expected to fall in love but life isn't always as it's planned.
Kory decides to run from her planned life, her parents and her soon to be husband and escape to Alaska with Hayden. There she can make her own life and do whatever she wants, hopefully with Hayden by her side. Kory and Hayden had spent a hot summer together, with the expectation that it would be no strings attached, but unfortunately, they caught feelings. That's the backstory, as Wrecked For You picks up with Hayden hunting Kory down to ask why she disappeared on him. He wants answers, and luckily for him, he picks the perfect time to show up unannounced & ends up becoming her knight in shining armor. Little do either of them know, how lucky she is that he showed up when he did. And that's all that I'm willing to give away about this amazing stories plot. It was fast paced, and completely gripping, so I couldn't put it down to save my life. Seriously, if the romance wasn't enough, those twists were shocking as all hell, so I was dropping f-bombs like a crazy woman! Like seriously out of left field twists, so the cast of secondaries make up the good, bad, and oh so very ugly. Now, Kory & Hayden were perfect together, and their chemistry was shooting sparks everywhere, so sexy times were oh so yummy, and lit the sheets on fire or whatever surface they were on, not to mention they also added in some well placed humorous moments with Hayden's inner monologue. Kristin Mayer is so talented, with an addictive writing style, so I CANNOT WAIT for the gruff but hilarious Kane's story next! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Kory Reynolds has her life perfectly planned out for her by her mom and she is to be engaged to Landon Masterton soon but everything has changed for Kory once she meets Hayden Foster.
There was no way that Hayden was going to let Kory leave Alaska without an explanation or fight so he follows her back to Seattle for an explanantion.
Will Kory follow her heart with Hayden or will her obligation to her parents take over? Will Landon let Kory go?
This was a great book with lots of love, romance and some great twists and turns.
I liked Kory and then my heart broke when I learned what her parents had planned out for you and I was shocked by the book. I understood why she was torn and how she felt like she had to do what her parents wanted but I was really hoping she would choose her own happiness.
Hayden was great and I loved that he never gave up on Kory and truly presented her with another option for life and love. He really loved her and would do what it took to protect her from her parents.
The twists involving Kory's parents were awesome and kind of jaw-dropping. I definitely was not expecting what was revealed and then I got worried and then relieved when Landon was involved with someone else.
Then the next twists shocked me even more and I was definitely worried for Kory!!
The end was awesome and it was such a great read!!

And when she left town after confessing love for each other, Hayden was a wreck (get it). So when Hayden goes to confront the woman, who’s pretty much THE girl for him, he ends up more confused than ever. Kory has never had a “free” life. Her parents were cold towards her since she was five and the only people that showed love towards her, passed away. So when Hayden comes for Kory, she feels like she can finally breathe again.
Things take a turn for the worse. When Kory’s parents come into town, secrets that she had never known came to life. Her grandparents that she loved dearly, didn’t die in an accident. And the reason for her parents essentially turning their backs on her, were for selfish reasons. But also out of love. Kory, Hayden, her parents, and the rest of the Foster crew, decide to devise up a plan to get her forever free. The way my heart literally felt like it would have beat out of my chest when this was happening was insane!

As I say in every Kristin Mayer review, she is the #QueenOfSuspense! Wrecked For You was no different. As with all Kristin’s stories, she leads you down a path where you think you know where the story is going....only to be totally off course with plot twists that leave you completely at her mercy!!! Hayden has never had any intention of settling down. Why should he do that when he likes his life just fine? That is until he meets Kory and their no strings attached relationship blindsided him. I fell in love with the Foster boys in the first book I read by Kristin Mayer, Intoxicated by You. So when I heard Hayden was getting his own book, I was desperate to get my hands on it! This was an absolutely adorable romance with a nice dash of suspense. The small town of Skagway is a fun backdrop without being a cliche. Kristen Mayer writes romances that are refreshing in their style and manage to take me by surprise every time. Kory and Hayden were perfection and I didn't want it to end. Wrecked by You made this reader a complete fan and I will be desperately waiting for Kane's story coming out next year!

This is an amazing read. It had a lot of suspense - which I love - and lots of humor.
When we meet Kory & Hayden, they've just been reunited after Kory skipped out on Hayden. Though this may seem to put the reader at a loss, it really doesn't. Wrecked For You does stand on its own.
Kory is a young woman searching for herself - simply put. She's catered to everyone's whims and been told what to do for decades that even when she knows she has to leave that life in order to be happy, she's still full of fear. When she agrees to take the deep plunge with Hayden, she realises what it truly means to be loved and accepted for being herself.
Hayden never really thought he wanted the HEA life. But a life without Kory isn't the way he wants to live now that he knows she's it for him. He's the perfect gentleman - patient, waiting on Kory to make up her mind instead of pushing her towards decisions he suspects she would regret.
I loved the Foster family, and their friends. I definitely want to read Drake's story & look forward to Kane's next year!

This is the second book in the series and it really is a great love story with angst and surprises. It begins with Hayden contemplating knocking on the door of the girl he fell in love with over the summer who also happened to disappear without saying goodbye. Hayden decides it's worth it to find out what's going on even if it's for closure. But Kory's response is anything but regret, she is ecstatic that Hayden came looking for. It's at this point that the story just begins to hint at how complicated things will become for Hayden and Kory. But ultimately they believe in their love and want to have each other and their relationship. The interactions, banter and friendships with Drake & Alexa, Hollis & Devney, Kane and Ike & Aime are so amazing and fun. The conversations are so genuine. Everyone rallies to help Kory as the twisted plot by her family continues. Hayden is super swoony and the connection with Kory is off the charts hot!!! Although there is angst and suspense in this story, it's the family and friends that make this a great read. Kane's story is next and it already seems intriguing can't wait!!!

Wrecked for You
I loved everything about Kory and Hayden's story. I read Intoxicated by You (and loved it), so I don't know if Wrecked for You can be read as a stand alone. For me I just enjoyed it more because I got to know and love the characters in the previous book, Drake and Alexa and loved that Dr Hollis Fritz, was in Hayden's book. Love the good Doctor! I hope he gets his own book and if not I hope we get the rest of his story in Kane's book.
Wrecked For You is written in true Kristin Mayer style, Kory came with her own drama, but Kory and Hayden worked through it together, I like that about Kristin Mayer, there are no predictable break ups, just the right about of drama, and in Wrecked For You there was a chapter that I got very anxious and could not read fast enough to see if everybody made it out ok.
And the sneak peak at the end! Added bonus! Can't wait to read Kane's book.

When Hayden and Kori met it was supposed to be a casual fling, but it evolved into much more. All of a sudden she was gone, and he needed answers, so he proceeded to track her down.
Kory’s life has been planned since she was a child and was promised to another. She had accepted the direction her life would take but meeting Hayden is a game changer. When he shows up at her door all she wants is to be with him, so she leaves her life behind and returns with him to Alaska. She is welcomed back by his family and she is happy to just be with Hayden but when her past finds her will they be able to stand up and fight so they can be together?
I really enjoyed both these characters. Kori thought she had no options until Hayden showed her that she did and Hayden is determined to show that nothing will come between them. I honestly didn’t know where the next twist was coming from! Oh my goodness! This story is absolutely incredible.
Hayden and Kory are two people who fell hard and fast but then she disappeared. Things aren’t what they seem and the unraveling left me breathless. I couldn’t take my focus off of these pages. This storyline built my adrenaline up and kept me wanting even more when it drew to a close. Not because questions were left unanswered but because I wanted everything to continue!
Kristin is amazing with words and never fails to throw me head first into a world that I would gladly live in. Her writing is full of emotion and definitely gives my heart some work while reading. Wrecked For You is no different in this aspect. I love this story nearly as much as I loved Intoxicated By You, with Drake and Alexa. If Kristin is pulling out all the stops like this in the second book, I can only imagine where we will be headed for Kane’s story!

I thought Wrecked for you was really good it isn't the first book that I read by Kristin Mayer and it wont be my last can't wait to see whats to come . I really liked the chemistry between the couple my heart really went out for those two with what challenges they were faced with . The story line was interesting with all the twits and turns that I didn't see coming .

Good series that isn't a typical romance.
What I like about the Kristin Mayer books I've read is that there is always intrigue that you did not expect. This series is no different. I will say that you will want to read "Intoxicated by You" first. Although you don't have to - you will be more in-tune with the characters if you do.
Hayden and Kory met in Alaska and had a brief fling. Problem is that it was starting to feel like more when Kory disappeared to go back home without an explanation. Hayden follows her there to see if there's more.
Kory's life has been controlled for a very long time. Hayden provides the chance to break free from it. Oh but it gets quite entangled from there.
"I had been wrecked by Kory in the best possible way." Sigh.
This book will definitely NOT be what you expect - a Mayer trait. Can't wait for Book 3 when we get to see the last Foster brother fall!

I loved reading Wrecked for You. It had love, romance and suspense. I liked seeing the characters from the previous book, Intoxicated By You, get its grand finish. It was sweet to see Alexa get the wedding of her dreams.
I loved to seeing the characters, "Intoxicated By You", were in the second book. Kory came from a very complicated background and it was alot for the Foster family to take on especially, Hayden Foster. I loved seeing that Kory was able to get the life that she dreamed of with the man of her dreams. She also had the support of own parents in the end. She also knew that they loved her. It would be perfect to see the Fraternity shut down. Kory's parents could live a normal life with thier daughter in Alaska. It could be a fresh start for the entire family.
I can't wait to read Kane's book next in this series. Any woman to break through Kane's hard exterior has alot of hard work ahead of her.

I am a fan of a book continuation or spin off! Same family that we met in Intoxicated By You but another brother has met his match. Hayden Foster, small business owner, smoking hot Alaskan pilot, had a fling with a girl during the tourist season. Kory is from Washington and in the Alaskan area and bumps in to Hayden for a wild summer before she returns home. While Hayden is away for the weekend with his brothers Kory disappears and Hayden is confused at what happened between them. After seeing his brother Drake find happiness with his high school sweetheart Hayden wants a chance with Kory to find out if they could be more than casual sex. Hayden is convinced that he should find Kory to find out what happened but what he finds is a messed up family situation, Kory trapped to a “future” husband and a girl who wants to be set free. The Foster family has had their share of crazy situations but this one may top them all!

Something I love about all Kristin Mayer`s books are the male characthers. Oh my God, she knows how to write them. I liked Hayden even more then Drake from the first book. The heroine was also very good to read, and they had so much chemistry.
The plot really surprised me in some points which was a great thing, and I loved how we also saw Hollis and Devney story. The group moments were so funny, and I laughed so much with the girls` night.
I was already incredible curious to read Kane`s story, but after the epilogue, I NEED IT NOW!

Wow, wow, wow!!! I always know a book by Ms. Mayer is going to be an adventure. One I’m so excited I get to go on. And Kory and Hayden’s story was no different!! I already love the Foster family so I’m so glad they were back on my kindle for more!! And what an adventure it was!!
Kory, she’s stood up for herself and is in a good place. She’s sweet and Alaska is just what she needed! Not to mention Devney, Alexa, and company bring her right into their family. Hayden, he has a heart of gold and will do anything for anyone he loves. Together and with the rest of the Foster family they are a force to be reckoned with!!

Oh I enjoyed this! Honestly I'd label it more of a suspense than romance, but there was romance in this book for sure. It was a thrill a minute page turner that will have you guessing theories right up until the end. This was Hayden's story, who we met in his brother Drake's book. We got to see Hayden fall in love with headstrong Kory, who I felt was perfect for him. We also got to see Drake and Alexa's wedding, which was beautiful and perfect for them, plus we got more Hollis and Devney in this book, and more laughs from Kane, who I think is my favorite Foster. I'm so excited for his book! With all the plot twists, this book didn't get too high on the steam factor but it used so much brain power to try and figure out who was doing what, I didn't miss it! What it lacked in heat it made up for in sweet! Very good book and I can't wait for Kane's!

Hayden and Kory had a rough start. Kory had a summer to be away from the scheduled and planned life that she was expected to lead, and she met Hayden. Suddenly she is gone, and when Hayden tracks her down, he convinces her to leave her prearranged marriage behind and take a chance on building a new life.
I loved Kory and Hayden. Although they had history, they took time to build what was between them and make sure it was real for both of them...and it did lead to great buildup of chemistry.
Kory is a strong h..she learns things that she had no idea about her parents and her previous life, and that things are more dangerous than they seem. Hayden never waivers, and he is a perfect man for her. This storyline is different and inventive, and I am excited to read about Kane, the next installment.

Hayden is a typical bachelor, sweet and sexy and totally smitten with Kory. But when she disappears, he decides to find out what happened. Little did he prepare himself for what he would come up against when he found her again.
I was surprised at the way this author was able to pull off all of the twists and turns in to this story. I really wasn't expecting the depth and emotions she brought out in me while discovering this couple. It was a wonderful ride of a book because a rollercoaster ride is an easy description of what this story turned out to be. This couple was hot.

I tell you this story just sucked me in and I couldn't put it down the whole time there was just so many thing's going on, but have no fear if you read the first book dear sexy Dr Hollis and the twiner sister's are back and geez are they funnier than ever. The writing in this story was so smooth it had me visioning in my minds eye what was happening as Kristin weaved such an amazing story once again. This is the 2nd book I've read by her and the more I read the more I fall in love with her book's. I would definitely recommend one clicking this lil jewel it is sooo worth the read.
