Obstruction of Justice: How the Deep State Risked National Security to Protect the Democrats

Rate this book
Investigative reporter Luke Rosiak is being hailed as “one of the smartest, most diligent reporters in Washington” (TUCKER CARLSON) and “a bulldog” (DANA LOESCH) for uncovering “what is possibly the largest scandal and coverup in the history of the United States House of Representatives” (NEWT GINGRICH).

It’s like something out of a spy In the heat of the 2016 election, an unvetted Pakistani national with a proclivity for blackmail gained access to the computer files of one in five Democrats in the House of Representatives. He and his family lifted data off the House network, stole the identity of an intelligence specialist, and sent congressional electronic equipment to foreign officials. And that was only the beginning.

Rather than protect national security, Congress and the Justice Department schemed to cover up a politically inconvenient hack and an underlying fraud on Capitol Hill involving dozens of Democrats' offices. Evidence disappeared, witnesses were threatened, and the supposed watchdogs in the media turned a blind eye.

Combining tenacious investigative reporting and high-tech investigative techniques, Luke Rosiak began ferreting out the truth, and found himself face to face with the "Deep State," observing how Nancy Pelosi's Democrats manipulated the Department of Justice, the media, and even Republican leadership to sabotage the investigation into what Newt Gingrich calls possibly the biggest congressional scandal in history.

Luke Rosiak wrote a difficult story and it's obvious that he feels for the victims regardless of their political affiliation. Corrupt and dirty government. It's been that way in Washington for a very long time and those that are dirty know they can get away with it because even when others are looking right at them, they pretend they don't see it. The dirty deeds get buried and covered up and we the people never hear the truth. Democrat or Republican, our government is corrupt and they are not working for the people of this country. If you think it's a book written as Pro-Trump, you are mistaken. It's a book that is Pro-WeThePeopleOfTheUnitedStates.

Thank you to Luke Rosiak and Goodreads. I received this book in a Goodreads giveaway and this is my honest review.

Truth hurts like hell but you get it here!

Luke has stayed to investigate this miscarriage of justice. He has opted for full disclosure, substantiation of facts and clarification by sources. Too bad our law makers and judicial system are not as conscientious! The blatant disregard of glaring fraud, chosen oblivion of the royal screw being played out by these in-natural Americans and our Federal "representatives" is a National disgrace. The bottom line is the good old Bart Simpson defense, " Nobody saw me do it, no way baby, you can't blame me"! Until we remove the snakes guarding the mice, we can't expect numbers to be right nor an objective we all can agree upon. As well written as this book is, I couldn't be more disgusted by it's content.

Wow. Just wow! This is certainly a travesty of justice. This book only shows you that there certainly is two sets of rules. The galll of these politicians calling for Trump's head and presidency
because of collusion and obstruction and then you see this.... well, lets just say there is a high level of hypocrisy. This is a well wriiten, well researched, engaging, book. It is non-partisan although
the book calls out the disfunctional, corrupt, Democratic Party and the complaisant inept Republican Party. Incredibly, the Democratic Party is either the most corrupt political party or the the most inept, or possibly both. Incredible how this is the party that wants to take more power from the people and push Socialism. These people should not only not have that power but should all be investigated, tried and convicted for high treason.

Rosiak covers, in detail the crimes of, the corrupt Awan family which had unauthorized access to Democratic Congressmem and Women's login and passwords. I have been in the IT field for over 28 years, and I can tell you that this stinks to high heaven. From a policy and procedure perspective, the Democrats have shown either complete ignorance or contempt for the policies that I can assure you they have signed off on. No one should EVER give their credentials to anyone, for any reason. If the IT person needs to work on your account, they can change you password and then have you change it. Ideally, they would have YOU log in and do a GoTo Meeting, WebEx, or something of the sort if it is absolutely necessary. Not even sure why Democrats or Republicans are able to higher their own IT people. Congress should provide IT staff that have been thoroughly vetted and have the proper clearance. Incredible that you read this book and you see the pattern: Hillary did not know the (c) meant confidential, destroyed the server and devices even after being subpoenaed (obstruction, the real one), Debbie Wasserman Shutlz did not know that she could not use Dropbox and then blames
IT for not doing something about it, her IT people lost a server and all the data on it, devices, etc, then under the same inept and corrupt DWS, the DNC supposedly gets hacked and they never provide the server to the FBI for them to do an investigation rather the FBI takes the work of Crowdstrike. The FBI is equally complicit in this issue. They have a lot of work to do for me to trust and respect them. They have showed time and time and time again that they at worst or corrupt as they come
and at best have been careless and inept; either one being disturbing.

This case was probably the worst show of corruption, cover up and and overall, a truse travesty of justice. I truly hope that our current AG investigates this further and although I am not a lawyer, I hope that if the AG can prove that there was corruption at the highest
level, that they can resind the BS outcome and whitewash of the crimes commited by the Awans. Republicans do not get a free pass on this one. In my opinion, they are complicit in this travesty and should be dealt with in conjunction with the Democrats.

How someone as corrupt as the Awans were able to stay in the employ of the government by way of the Congress people, is astonishing. They should have been doing ongoing background checks as in spot checks to ensure that there people are not falling out of compliance. This is why they run your credit again before you close on a house to make sure you have not done something stupid before you close. This is normal in the IT world. I ran a Security Operations Center and we had to constantly check the employees backgrounds and credit to make sure they were not a risk. All companies and organizations have written policies and procedures, especially public companies due to the very same idiots in the House and Senate (Sarbanes Oxley), HIPAA, GLBA, PCI and others specific to them where it is required to have a written policy and procedure and PROOF that ALL employees have read and understand the content. Most organizations to pop quizzes on the same policies and procedures throughout the year and post follow up to any changes. If the policy says NO House data on any outside servers, they government does not even need to block Dropbox (although they should), but it would be impossible to define each and every service that is an "outside server" (e.g. Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, SpiderOak, Box, Crashplan, Backblaze, Glacier, iDrive, Apple iCloud Drive, etc,). That would mean that the government and organizations would need to track every single product that gets released and ensure they update their policies and that the users sign it. No data on outside servers is understood as ANY server that is not controlled by the government. If they can not figure that out, they do not belong in D.C. and certainly should not be in control of anything or anyone.

I hope the Democrats and the Republicans voters start to hold their own accountable. Remember, if you change the D's to R's and the names to Republicans, you would be demanding their heads on a platter. I mean, look at the Trump investigation(s); they continue even after Muller came back and said no collusion. It is as moronic as the Birther movement. Since the Dems are in a "special council" mood, they should assign others to this and the many other cases of corruption regardless of party.

Thinking back I did only see one paper written on this investigation and haven't seen anything afterword or since. I knew our system was broken but this has opened my eyes to how much and what extents people will go to make sure they're not upheld to the standards they're supposed to practice. Ethics. Morals. Taking longer to finish because I get really irritated that only one reporter followed this through and that so many people plotted to keep the public from the truth. I am all for walking every one of these people out of office and replacing them with someone who isn't bought so easily.
I am extremely grateful he added in the notes copies of some of the paperwork filed. It proves more than a doubt that his investigation is not BS.

After reading this book, I am outraged that this travesty of justice is allowed to happen in this country. It is typical of the partisan DOJ and FBI to ignore real criminal activity and investigate fake crimes. And then turn around and tell the American people that the criminals are actually the victims by the racist president! I really doubt President Trump will ever be able to drain the swamp of DC. Luke, you are a brave soul to take on the establishment. Stay safe!

This book is beyond shocking! And the fact that I hadn't even heard of this story until now is scary! It should be bigger news than any other political story in the past 2 years. It's the stuff of 007 and fiction novels. A small family from Pakistan entrenches itself in Congress and commits crimes against our country for years (fraud, stealing government information, etc) while most people not only turn their heads the other way, but go out of their way to protect them.

The author himself states, "This is not a partisan book. What it exposes is the "Uniparty" - a core of entrenched, career politicians and bureaucrats whose overriding goal is to preserve their power and the status quo." "This is the story of a cover-up, manipulation, and the subversion of justice, and it is a true one in a world where true stories often don't have happy endings. But one conclusion seems clear: the DOJ, Democrats, and some establishment Republicans are all on the same team. One where insiders go along to get along. If I've learned one thing, it's that the so-called "Deep State" isn't about Democrats versus Republicans, it's about entrenched insiders and the lengths they'll go to to keep their hold on power."

Anybody who cares about America and what our founding fathers believed in, regardless of their party affiliation, need to read this book. What this scandal has cost us is our national security and our trust in our justice department. I'm hoping that the publication of this book makes it impossible for anymore people to turn their heads the other way. Hopefully another investigation gets opened.

Obstruction of Justice: How the Deep State Risked National Security to Protect the Democrats by Luke Rosiak is a must read for anyone wondering why justice does not seem correct at this point. Luke Rosiak has uncovered for all of us the corruption in the government especially Congress. He does a wonderful job of explaining the problem. the people who are suppose to be servants of "The People" are only looking out for themselves. Whether Republican or Democrat it does not seem to matter because person's political ideolog should not affect what is justice or right and wrong. It is well researched. Luke Rosiak has put him self at risk to bring the truth to the people if they care to know. It is a fasted paced ans well written. the story reads quickly . If you are a person who does not believe there is political corruption that plagues D.C. just read it. Luke Rosiak will make you see the corruption and the harm it is doing. All voters should read this.

Wow. I did not know this story at all. The title may lead you to think this story is another Trump v.s. The Deep State tale. But, whoooaa, not so fast. I had never heard of the Anwan's. And I'd bet the majority of Americans haven't either. The crimes they committed are bad enough but the insane lengths the Establishment Democrats and Republicans, The D.O.J. and the F.B.I. went to to cover up for them is truly unbelievable and should scare everyone.

It's depressing how riddled our government is with corruption and injustice! This book, while it feels like the author is on a rant, is actually about the facts surrounding illegal activities in our Federal government that no one wants to admit is or was going on.

A must read if you want to understand how deep the corruption of the Obama administration was and continues to be within the Deep State. I've talked and know quite well someone that personally knows the principal actor in this story and can vouch for its authenticity.

This is not a fabrication made for the Daily Enquirer. This is the bizarre and strange truth about things going on as we speak. Brace yourself. It's a wild ride that will stretch your patience with our undemocratic system in its current state.

Clear review of how Washington DC works when it wants knowledge of inconvenient (illegal if we did it) activities kept from the general public. Nothing new, thankfully Rosiak documented this instance for future generations to review and shake their heads. Unless DC orders book burnings...

I bought this book because I thought I should know something about current events. I had no idea that it would be a page turner—even though I knew the ending before I read it. Rosiak took very complicated material and made it easy to read and understand. Much of it is unbelievable so he documented with good footnotes.it is maddening, disillusioning, sad, and very frightening, especially because the problems he uncovers continue. I was reading this while watching the Mueller hearings. I was actually on the page about Ted Lieu when Lieu made a fool of himself again in the hearing. It was eerie to see the characters I was reading about be outraged by fake “obstruction” when they were participants in very real and dangerous obstruction. Rosiak is a very brave man to take on such powerful and corrupt institutions.

Very good book - an eye opener for many! People should, but never will, know about the sickening behavior of our “fearless leaders” . I watched this story unfold and was very disappointed that politics took precedence over national security. While I realize both parties participate in these coverups, I totally believe the Democrats and press would have been all over this if it was a Republican scandal - I’m forever disappointed in Speaker Paul Ryan for allowing this to happen. All Americans should be interested in this story because we can be sure it will happen again

Just incredible the lengths the Democrats will go to protect their cushy lifestyles! It's trickle down cover-ups from the top of the food chain ( not the President). The Dems don't care about the safety of the people that pay their salaries! What's on that jump drive that was palmed off in Pakistan? Does this country need to be on continual high alert? Read this book!

Easily one of the best true-life current events books I’ve come across. It’s ridiculously underrated, and should be made into a movie.

Here is yet another book documenting the corruption of The System (a/k/a in this case, The Deep State) and how our country's founding ideals are being betrayed by the very people who pledge to uphold them. It's depressing.

However, this book is easier to read than some of our other societal obituaries. The tale is engaging (albeit infuriating), important, and clearly told. There are no abstract concepts to be explained. This is a story about people and their greed, cowardice, ignorance, and incompetence. And in a few cases the opposite: dedication, strength of character, smarts and skill.

Too often these days I have the reoccurring thought that "we are doomed": our country, our freedoms, our way of life. Unfortunately, this book reinforces that idea. Yet, I have hope, simply because a book like this can still be published.

An excellent book with a compelling story which unfortunately never saw the light of Justice in our Injustice System Banana republic. I'm certain there's more to the story (as I've read elsewhere) and numerous accounts of Dims and Awans trading with each other for exoneration (from the public and the #DeepState). You'd think have Pakistanis rummaging around in Congressional email/document servers would be enough of a threat... maybe Awans were just spooks. Anyway, the book tells at least the pieces we heard beyond the mainstream media and ties it together well.

Documenting the corruption of the Democrats

Luke Rosiak has done America a favor by documenting not just a major scandal but a whole process of cover up and obfuscation in Congress. A picture of the insanity the American left is perpetrating on our country. Citizens need to stand up and " throw the bums out".
