some of the most mind-blowing photography i've ever seen in any context. terrific, as DK guides always are. weirdly, has a few errors (20 pages randomly in spanish; one chapter introduction written twice in a row), which don't bother me nearly as much as the sea of lovely information and stunning photos thrill me.
I have read the book that called eyewitness travel guide ;Spain and its written by collectif. This book shows the areas in Spain and the history of Spain so collectif posted some maps so the readers can know the places in the Spain and the modern hotels so that's going to be easy for the visitors to have a knowledge about this country and the history of this country so there are many themes that he included in his book to let the readers get interested while they are reading the book. Moreover he used to put some pictures of the places and the people .The most thing I liked to read about which I focused on is the Spanish art .There were three Spanish painters stand out as milestones in the history of western art.Diego de Velazquez was a 17th-century court portrait and his las meninas is a seminal work. and there were many kinds of arts like religious art in Spain ,las meninas and modern art. So those panels were posted on walls of hotels and the modern place.
A bit outdated but it had lots of good information. This book is best for the amazing photos and full color layout, but it would be far to heavy to lug around while traveling. Check it out before you go.
It’s hard to rate a travel guide but this is a generally excellent overview of highlights of the country - more a starting point to investigate areas more than definitive in its own right. The only criticism is that although it’s clearly divided into regions, within these it can be hard to work out which area/town is near which - especially confusing when it’s the islands part! But it’s certainly added to our holiday wish list!
Excellent travel book to help you plan your trip to Spain. Love the details and the color photographs. A bit heavy to take with you but great to do your research before hand.
Same thing as the France book, I planned the trip and left the book and itinerary at home. We had to scramble once there to create a makeship travel plan. It worked, a lot better in Spain than in France, but that was because of the language.
This a great book to read as you prepare for a trip to Spain and I am going to take it with me there. It covers all the regions in a clear format. Spain offers so much. The maps and diagrams are great.
I love Eyewitness books for their photos but found this one to heavy to carry with us most of the time. We did do some of the recommended walking tours and referred to it back in the hotel.
Beautiful illustrations and diagrams in this book make it an idea travel guide for your trip to Spain. The size is not too large which makes it easy to take on a trip.
