“There are some things the human mind can't handle. Some horrors are just too great.”
Three years after her brother killed eighteen people in a school shooting, Bonnie Bromley is living a nightmare. Everyone hates her and her family, but as her brother's execution draws closer, Bonnie finds that other, darker forces are starting to make their presence felt in town. Something is lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect opportunity to feed on the souls of the dead.
When the horrific truth becomes clear, Bonnie and her friends find themselves being hunted by a powerful creature. Fortunately they have help from Hannah, a mysterious girl who only recently arrived in town, but even Hannah might be powerless to save the day. And if she does find a way to keep Bonnie alive, Hannah might still have to face the one force from which she has been running her whole life.

I really enjoyed the first two books of the series and the third instalment was definitely not a let down! Hannah is a great character and I think the fact that she isn't in the whole story makes her even better in a strange way. This book has a really interesting premise, I thought it was smart and very well paced. I'm just disappointed that there's no sign of the fourth book yet, I wish an approximate release date was included in the snippet publicising it.
As with the other two books you never get all of the answers but then what would be the fun in that?
After reading the previous two books in the series I found myself finding this one the best so far. I did enjoy the others but I found the storyline and the pace of this book amazing. The characters stood out and I was enthralled in each page. I was eager to find out what was going to happen next with Bonnie and unable to put this down, so much I stayed up so late until I actually fell asleep reading. I can not wait for the next one to see what happens to Hannah. Another amazing read from Amy Cross!
This entry into the series of (Death Herself) found Hannah helping small town teen Bonnie with her own trials due to her brother's involvement in a school shooting and upcoming execution. There are other strange happenings in the town as well. This time Hannah also faces her own past and has to come to terms with an old 'enemy.' I'm really looking forward to book four!
These were great books! I was so excited to see there is going to be a 4th book and can't wait for it to be available. These are suspenseful scary and just unexpected but exactly the type of books I like to read. If you haven't tried reading any of Amy Cross's books you should give this series a try. You will not regret it.
Another belter from Amy. This time we are in a school where two young boys go into their cafeteria with guns killing 18 students. It's a terrible tragedy for the town. Bonnie's brother is one of the shooters and he is executed for his crime, but there are evil forces after the aftermath which leads Hannah to make an appearance. Great book
I really enjoyed this 3rd book of the seies! It was fun and exciting with the brave " girl" Hannah who helps to Dave's people, great story and I'm now in book 4 so enjoy folks😊😊!!
This was a creepy story. A school shooting happens, told from one of the shooters sister. I’ve enjoyed the character of Hanna and can’t wait to read the next!
This is a great series and Hannah is a particular favourite.
I love the originality of Amy Cross' books; there is always something different and mysterious about them.
The first person narrative in this episode brings the reader into Bonnie's mind as she tries to figure out the puzzle and the easy flow of the writing style, mixed with the a fabulous plot, make for a compelling read.
Ok I started with like most of the book until it came to a few chapters close to the end when it became confusing kept going back and forth. Why the writer did that it was such a good book
I just love Amy Cross, the storylines are awesome an the characters are so real. I love the way her mind works, this series is amazing, I can't wait for the forth book.
