Samantha Jones works at Fletcher Security. She develops state-of-the-art surveillance drones, hacks computer networks, and makes life difficult for anyone on the wrong side of the law. When she's asked to help Caleb Andrews complete a top-secret project, her IT skills aren't the only thing that will be tested to the limit. Someone wants the program Caleb has created—and they’ll stop at nothing to get it.
ONCE IN A LIFETIME is the second book in the Sapphire Bay series and can easily be read as a standalone. Each of Leeanna's series are linked so you can find out what happens to your favorite characters in other books.
Leeanna Morgan is a USA Today bestselling author. She lives in New Zealand surrounded by green hills on one side and the ocean on the other. She enjoys going for long walks, especially if she can convince her husband and two children to go with her!
Leeanna writes contemporary romances set in Montana. Her books contain all of the things that are important to her; good friends, family, a strong sense of community, and a happy ending.
I enjoyed reading about Sam and Caleb but I wondered when Sam went from being a cyber security specialist sent to help Caleb correct errors in his coding to being his bodyguard. She seemed to be everything at a moment’s notice. In spite of that, it was an enjoyable story.
This is a nice story and does hold interest if you are willing to overlook some of the details that don’t seem to be well thought out. For the intensity of the circumstances the characters seem pretty unphased, unrealistically so. There’s no clear end to the security issue, the characters just seem to move on and forget it because the relationship worked out. The characters are interesting, the story is clean, and the intrigue adds some excitement again if you can overlook some of the details not being quite what they should be for the situation.
The main characters are fairly one dimensional. There are several points in the storyline that somewhat defied logic. I tend to not want to put spoilers in a review, so suffice it to say the main characters do things that seem quite illogical and not believable. However, for light reading of a clean romance with a happily ever after, it’s OK.
You've read the synopsis of the book above so I won't repeat it.
It's a cute story. Which is why I am giving it 3 stars. I don't know what to tell you. I had two major issues, maybe three.
1st off I couldn't grasp the connection or chemistry between the MC's there wasn't enough in the story to make me see the love developing between them for it to have happened from one page to the next.
2nd, Why does it seem like she is the only one who "did anything wrong?" I get that the author tried to do. But I think it backfired on her, It left me wondering why Sam or anyone (gabe) didn't yell at him for what he did he had a problem after with Sam's trust???? Where was his trust??? This was not addressed and this part just wasn't well written (sorry to the Author)
Lastly The Mother!!! I am sorry. There are a bunch of red flags throughout the story that bother me. Or maybe it's just that I hate a SMOTHER. Or maybe it's that I am Italian and the way that the author is portraying the average Italian dynamic??? Culture?? Way?? to be not offensive but something less but along those lines?? the author's comment about the mom's thinking that meeting Caleb once even though being told he is a client thinks that he and Sam should get married. I guess it's the whole push/force the idea that a women has to get married & have children just to be happy or make her mother happy. This is just me paraphrasing Again. Author just wrote this wrong. The kicker for me was the end where Caleb proposes and instead of letting the couple celebrate, hug and kiss nope, the mom has to rush in first. Nope. Sorry. Overbearing and pushy Mom.
Again, a cute story. I don't regret reading it. I have read the 1st in the Bridesmaid Club book and really liked it. I haven't read Gabe's & Natalie's story but I am hoping this is just an anomaly. I am now curious though wary of the next books in the series. Though I will read them.

This was the second book in the series and although it can be read as a standalone, characters from the previous book appear and tie into the story too. This was Caleb and Sam’s story.
We met the mysterious Caleb in book one. He is an IT genius and is working o a top secret government project that has now caught the attention of a terrorist group. His past has him used to running and hiding from things and now he just wants to start to live a normal life. Unfortunately he now needs help figuring out how to complete this project and until this job is complete he won’t be free to live that life.
Sam is ex-military and works for a security company that is brought in to not only help Caleb figure out how to complete his project, but protect him from the terrorist group in the process. She is smart, beautiful, resourceful and everything Caleb did not know he wanted.
I love this story and the anticipation throughout. It was not just romance and there is no sexy time at all. There is mystery, secrets are revealed, a friendship turns into love and there is a happy ending tied up nicely. There are plenty of secondary characters that keep the story interesting too. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This story was exciting about Caleb , handsome computer geek and pretty , Sam(antha). Adam is.ex-army, working for a company that guards and protects important people. Sam is also a highly skied computer geek. Who is sent to help Caleb complete an important government secret program. Working together ends up with love. However a terrorist group want the program and are after Caleb . That is where it gets page-turning! In the end it all works out. This is the second book by Leeanna Morgan I have read. So good, I bought the rest of her series! Thank you for a really good book !
I really enjoyed the beginning of this book. The characters were interesting, as was the project. The middle part of the story got a bit murky for me. But ok still. The latter part of the book lost traction, in my opinion. Sam was gutsy, intelligent, determined, capable throughout the story. To make her appear a wimp at the end, detracted from the previous parts of the story. It would have been better to end it before that, in my mind. Pity, as was good until then.
I’m not so certain I will keep reading this series. They fall in love after five days, are suddenly in danger, they both do something stupid, they fight and split, realize they miss each other and acted impulsively.. make up and get engaged through a grand gesture.. all within two months of knowing each other. Predictable and boring. I skipped through a lot of fluff parts as well. I read two in the series, I see her style and pattern and it just isn’t realistic enough for me in most areas.
I enjoyed Once in a Lifetime even though it was way over my head with the Samantha's IT skills! Sam not only has IT skills but is also a bodyguard as she works for Fletcher Security! She works closely with Caleb Andrews as he completes a top security project. An attraction is there but can they trust each other? The book includes danger as well as humor and romance! I recommend Once in a Lifetime to others. I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
Leeanna Morgan did not disappoint. As I continue to read the books in this series I know that I can count on her to keep me entertained. Her characters are well developed. And every storyline is different and interesting. I like the way you get to visit some of the characters from her other books. I recommend Ms Morgan’s series.
This is the first book I read by this author. I really enjoyed the main plot(s) of the story but did not enjoy a side issue involving the main character's family that had nothing to do with the main plots. I had to plow through that in order to not miss the twists and turns of the story. I would give the book a 5 star if it weren't for the family saga.
Once in a Lifetime is the story of Samantha and Caleb. This suspenseful page turner will suck you in from the beginning. I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough to see what was going to happen next. Grab your copy and see what all the suspense was about. I absolutely love Sam’s family.
Caleb and Sam's story was well developed and believable. I especially like that Morgan's characters start out as nice people who are kind to each other and the attraction between them builds from there
4 stelle e mezza scarse Questo libro mi ha coinvolto un po' meno rispetto ai due precedenti che ho letto: in dei punti era molto ben fatto, in altri meno, in particolare non mi ha convinto del tutto il finale.
I still haven't gotten tired of reading her books! Each one has a unique storyline, but they are all about finding that one true love. What can be better than that?
A story with lots of suspense and danger. I enjoyed the characters and their interaction as they worked together to solve a problem with a new computer system. Worth reading!
An enjoyable story. The characters were engaging. The premise was exciting although a lot of the action happened off page. And the last few chapters felt a bit contrived to me or that things just wrapped up a little bit too easily.
This book was great, it had mire drama than I thought and also the plot was great, the ending was romantic and fun. I'm sure everyone would enjoy reading this story.
From the moment they said hello I was waiting for that first kiss. Great story, romance with adventure and intrigue. I wish there would have been more of an explanation of Shelleys 's non wedding and closure of the mole in Caleb's team.
This was a fun storyline trying to figure out this mystery. I liked getting to know the characters and their storylines. Some good lines that made you think in this book.
Lots of things going on but done so well to have it be clean, no swear words, no intimate scenes or details of lustful body reactions. thank you for an awesome story to read.
