In this 31-day devotional, pastor and bestselling author Adam Hamilton shows how the Bible's most memorable stories can help us nurture lives of peace, courage, and hope.
Our capacity to experience fear is a gift from God. It protects us from harm by sensing possible danger and motivating us to act. But fear can also dominate our lives. We worry about the future, about our health, about disappointing our friends and family. When these worries play over and over in our minds without resolution, it can rob us of joy and keep us from pursuing the life we're meant to live.
In Living Unafraid , Pastor Hamilton walks readers through 31 of the Bible's most-loved stories, showing how the people of Scripture found hope in God in the face of adversity and some of life's most frightening situations. Each day, he unpacks a new lesson--from Creation to the Gospels to the final words of Revelation--showing how God's love and deliverance can empower us for the battles we face today.
Thoughtful, practical, and grounded in Scripture, Living Unafraid is an essential read for anyone seeking hope along life's journey.

I read this book as a daily devotional during this crazy COVID time and found it uplifting, full of hope, and comforting. Although it is referred to as a companion to the book Unafraid: Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times (which is very good too), I feel that it stands alone as a great devotional. Pastor Hamilton uses stories from both the Old and New Testaments to help us seek hope and strength in issues we face today.
This devotional is populated with modern stories and historical context. I highly recommend it for any Christian suffering from anxiety and who is eager to ask questions about the information they’ve been taught to believe their whole lives. Adam Hamilton is my pastor and so I anticipated this being good and it did not disappoint.
Easy to read, clear, and well-written. This devotional can be followed over the course of a month. It provides various examples from the Bible, followed by the author's interpretation of the passage, wherein the underlying theme is hope and how to apply that passage to your own life. I feel like it could be useful to someone in search of positivity, regardless of religious leanings.
Unafraid – Adam Hamilton -- During the process of organizing my tbr pile, I found several that I had won in giveaways and never read. This one I think I meant to read a little every day to get the vibe of how it would be to use it as a daily devotional, but I never got around to it. Bite-sized but thought provoking! It’s a cute little book perfect for a gift! Happy Reading!
I have two lessons left. This devotional is well written. The lessons are easy to follow. It has been great for me because I can read it before work and not stress about not having enough time. Highly recommend.
I got this in a first reads giveaway. Hamilton provides an excellent overview of Jesus's principle of do not be afraid. He doesn't mince words about how hard this is to do but provides gentle insights that help you along the journey.
I won this book through a Goodreads Giveaways. It is the first daily devotional that I have ever read and I really enjoyed it. Thought provoking and easy to understand.
I enjoyed the 31 day devotional which I saved for March. It was a great daily inspiration and especially culminating with Easter on March 31st this year.
Highly recommend this excellent daily devotional from Pastor Adam Hamilton. This book, like all of his others, is filled with words of encouragement, grace and hope.
This is a wonderful devotional not to be taken lightly. Mr. Hamilton stirs great thought in the reader in each day's meditation, so much so that I actually grabbed my Bible to review a few things! Anything that stirs my soul to grab my Bible is a good read, in my opinion! I plan to keep this book close by, next to my Bible, to help me meditate on passages and teachings that go far beyond a generic "devotional." Thank you for such a beautiful book.
