Ever wanted to know how to track an Easter bunny? This is your guide. In fun, creative rhyming text we are shown the best way to track the elusive rabbit on Easter morning as he hides his eggs. The bunny is never caught, but the chase itself is fun.
Colorful and highly energetic illustrations bring this story to life. At the end we are provided some history on the Easter bunny. A highly enjoyable book, with some fun information at the end.
How do you track the Easter Bunny? Follow the black jellybeans, of course! (Just don't eat them).
You will love or hate this book. The rhyming text and the sugar popping Easter colors will make it or break it for you. It is politically correct (the Easter Bunny is a she) and modern with a slight classical feel. However, it is the afterwards that saved this book for me. The history of how Easter baskets came about and an activity (that is worded for a classroom/group activity but should translate to a one-on-one activity) was the best part.
Here is another exciting book in the Magical Creatures and Crafts Series. The craft in this book will make your little ones eyes sparkle with delight when they see the finished project and the instructions are in the back of the book. I highly recommend this book for the creativity of an Easter Bunny Nest. I wish I would have known about this when my daughter was young. It makes Easter more Magical!
Enjoyable book for pre-K to 1st or 2nd grade. Designed to be a read-aloud with crafts and history lesson at the end, but would also work as a stand-alone rhyming book in a classroom or as a lap-book. I will consider buying a copy for my family.
This cute how-to book builds on the German tradition of building a nest for the Easter Bunny. Told in rhyme (although I think prose would have worked also) the reader follows the directions laid out to capture the easter bunny. And, even if you don't, there's still chocolate and candy!
This was a cute book. However I felt like it ended abruptly, almost as if the last page is missing. Beautiful illustrations but not as good as her other books.
Cute, fun and interesting... to a point, but could use more intrique. Personally, I found the workbook of sorts in the back more interesting. I wish some of that had been worked into the story. Regardless, this does make for a nice Easter gift for a very young child.
Loved the story..and then the history of the start of how the Easter bunny became a tradition in the United States! Also the nest idea and science lesson! Really a great book!
