“Save me a dance,” he whispered into my ear.
My breath caught.
It seemed our night at The Tavern was going to be more interesting than I’d first imagined.
I turned my head to look at him and tried not to get lost in his bright blue orbs. “I don’t just dance with anyone, you know. If you want me, you’ll have to work for it.”
His grin turned positively feral. “Be careful what you wish for.” His gaze lowered to take in every inch of me and when he licked his lips, my pussy clenched. “If I work for it, you’re not going to know what hit you.”
I’d been so focused on my conversation with Luke that I hadn’t realized we were moving away from the dance floor until he spun me around, pushed me up against a wall then pressed his muscular body into mine.
I gasped.
“What are you…?”
“When are you gonna let me fuck you, Violet?”
“It’s been, what? Six months since you split up with the asshole? That’s a while to be without a man between these beautiful thighs. Let’s not play games.
“I’ve seen the way you look at me. You want me. And I want you. You know I do. So why not let me take care of that ache you’ve gotta be feeling right about now? Let me scratch your itch.”
“What are you doing here?”
Luke threw his head back and laughed. “I’m getting déjà vu here. Are you going to say that every time you open the door to me? Because, hello you sexy stud would be preferable.” He lifted the brown paper bag he held in his arms. “I brought you lunch.”
She’s my wife,” Adam snapped, looking down his nose at Luke.
“Soon to be ex,” I corrected.
Luke eyed him with disdain. “And you’re soon to have a broken nose if you show up here again, bothering my woman.”
“Your what?” Adam and I said in unison.
I glowered at him.
I didn’t like that we’d had the same thought.
Luke rounded on me. “Oh, I’m sorry. Must have been some other woman I was balls deep in last night. My mistake.”

Plot: Luke has always had an eye on his sister's friend Violet, but first she was married and then she was newly out of that relationship. He figures it's time now, though, but Violet isn't on board. She knows there's chemistry between them but she doesn't think he's relationship material. He just has to figure out how to convince her that he is.
Commentary: I don't think Luke was very good at explaining why he wanted her or why he wasn't really a player. Saying that all the women he slept with knew the score ahead of time isn't really what Violet was talking about - it seemed like she was talking more about the sheer number. He was clever with the whole "friends with benefits" thing - and everyone but Violet knew!
Grammar/formatting: needed another pass with the proofreader

In Mountain Man's Price, Book 3 focuses on biker Lucas and Web Designer, Violet. Like the previous books, Luke belongs to The Devil's MC. In this storyline the club votes in a new president who makes it clear they will operate legally, unlike the previous president. Unfortunately drug dealers still want money owed and have put Violet and other girlfriends in danger. How will Luke and the MC deal with this? Will it bring Violet and Luke closer despite Violet refusing to admit feelings?
I like this story as I have with the previous two. The author, Ava Grace is writing a satisfying series and is making me look forward to book four.

WOW what a fantastic read. super addictive.
Voilet wasnt looking for love. SHe had just split up with her lying, cheating, piece of crap husband adam ( he doesnt even deserve a capital A)
A girls night out sounded good. When out she saw Luke, he was one of her best friends brother so he was a no no. but that didnt stop her from looking and thinking he was FINEEEEE. Voilet thought that Luke was a player. he was part of a MC.club and she had seen enough tv shows to know what happened in the clubs.Voilet had already been played by her husband, once was enough. Luke had wanted Voilet for a while and now that she was free from that lying scumbag he wanted to prove that he could give her a better life. He had alot to prove and he was ready for the long battle to win her over, This is a brilliant read i couldnt put it down and i can not wait to read more from Ava Grace.

Violet has finally kicked her dead beat cheating jerk of an excuse of a husband out and is free of him. She's going to guard her heart in future even if it means she can only glance at her best friend's brother, Luke, every once in a while. But Luke has different ideas - he's part of a MC gang and he knows that he has a reputation but he will do anything to prove to Violet that he will be hers and hers alone if she will give him a chance. But Violet is stubborn and will only agree to one night. But maybe that night was so GOOD that she will let him come back for more forever? I loved these two characters and the back and fro between them. The steamy scenes are just perfect and blend into the storyline which is well written perfectly. A page turning must have read by Ava Grace that will have me, and I hope you, coming back for more of her stories. This is the third book I the mountain men series by Ava and she was do e a really great job and this book makes a great addition to the series. Violet is almost at the end of the road to her divorce and she can’t help but think of Luke who is her best friends brother. He is also part of an MC club which in my book makes him even hotter. She would love to be more than just a casual thing but this is what they agree to but he wants more and so does she they just they just need to talk. Can these two work it out.

This is quite the compelling read! It is fast pace and I read this in one sitting on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. An amazing, exciting read with a great storyline. It is a well written with a consistent well developed plot. Lots of action, drama, suspense, violence, humour, witty banter, and intrigue to look forward to in this story. The characters are strong and great together; their chemistry is intense, hot, and undeniable with sex scenes that are very descriptive and off the charts hot! OMG! This was an amazing book! Luke has wanted Violet for a long time and now that she got rid of her cheater of a husband, he is done waiting. He doesn't care that she is friends with his sister. Violet has always been attracted to the sexy biker but the last thing she is looking for is another relationship. She also views him as a player. Luke is determined to make Violet his even if he has to trick her into it with the promise of friendship only! Will Luke be able to protect Violet when a rival gang begins to attack his club? Perfect for anyone who loves sexy bikers who stop at nothing to get.their woman where they belong. Can't wait for the next book!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Mountain Men series. In this book, Violet is moving on from her divorce and she agrees to go to a bar with her friends. While there, she sees Luke and stares at him from afar. Violet has always been attracted to Luke, who is her friend Andrea's brother and a member of the local MC. Luke has noticed Violet, but she was married at the time, but now she is single, he wants to make her his. Luke approaches Violet at the bar and flirts with her. He tells her he will be at her place later to talk. When Luke shows up, Violet gives into her attraction to him, but she insists it is a one time thing. When Luke shows up the next day with lunch, she tells him she doesn't want to date him. Luke has other plans and convinces Violet to a friends with benefits arrangement, only he plans to worm his way into her heart. When danger from a former deal the former president of the MC made comes to threaten the MC and everyone they care about, Violet finds herself under the protection of the MC along with all of her friends. I really like this series and i loved this one. Luke was great, he was so insistent that Violet was his and he won her over without her even knowing. I think they were great together and loved how Luke wanted to protect Violet and make her his. Great one.

What age group is this written for?
Little about this made sense. Big, bad biker dude decides to lay claim to a woman because they made eye contact in a bar. Grown men play biker bad-arses when they're not doing charity work. Jackasses weren't booted out of the club for doing side business with serious drug dealers go to prison and now the dealers think they can threaten until the club pays their debt.
Meanwhile, this "relationship" is all dinners out and brutal kisses as he wears her down and gets her to admit she's his "old lady" (what is this, 1968?) Needless to say, I found the story failed to capture my interest, let alone titillated, but given the terminology thrown around--most of which was eventually translated for our clueless "heroine--my only takeaway is irritation that one of those (the only thing she knew from the start) was "cut." WTF is that supposed to mean? "He was wearing his cut," " He looked good in his cut, " "He wore a plain leather jacket without his patch instead of his cut." So it's what--a regular biker jacket? a denim jacket with the sleeves cut off? My brother and his high school buddies all drove Harleys and this is a term never once used.
One star only because I can't leave none, which irks me because the occasional errant apostrophe or wrong word got on my other last nerve.

In this book we meet Violet Miller and Luke Chase. Violet caught her husband cheating on her at The Mountain Tavern so she avoids it like the plague. However it is the one place with music and dancing so when her friends want to go she agrees. Luke and Violet are friends and though she is still slightly smarting from her soon to be finalized divorce she knows though Luke would be fun for a night he is not the long term kind of guy. He is one of those men that looks pretty in the window but you are pretty sure taking him home will not look so good. Luke likes his life in the MC but he has no aspirations on being pres. He truly believes that is what his friend Coop is meant for. Luke has been looking at Violet just like she has been looking at him for the last couple of month. He believes she is ready for more with him. Can these two find a HEA or will their ideas about the other make that impossible?
This book is amazing. It definitely has its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

That ending was not nearly enough for me. I really hope to see a glimpse of Luke and Violet in the next book. The story itself was hot, fast paced and a bit suspenseful. I thought the book was very well written and I very much enjoyed it! Violet is in the middle of a divorce and having a hard time. She isn’t ready for a relationship and when Luke slips into her perfectly crafted life she is torn between the emotions he raises and the fear of falling in love again. Add in a little drama and you have one exciting ending!

Violet goes out with her friends and their significant others to dance and have some fun. Her best friend's brother comes along and they hit it off. After that night Violet can't stop thinking about Luke but she doesn't want to be involved with another cheating playboy. Luke is stunned by Violet and can't stand how her ex is treating her. When she walks into the bar and he sees her about to leave because of her ex he stops her and makes his move on her. Even though Luke hasn't been interested in a long term thing with any woman he can't stop his thoughts from going in that direction with Violet. Can Luke convince Violet that he isn't the womanizer everybody says he is?
This is a great story and will draw you in from beginning to end. The chemistry between Luke and Violet is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining Story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Violet has filed for divorce from her cheating husband. She plans on a night out with her girlfriends which suddenly turns into the girls boyfriends planning to join them. At the bar everyone is dancing and Violet is eyeing Luke and vice versa.. Later that night he goes to Violet;s home and stays. When he leaves he knows that she needs to be his but she;s skittish and doesn;t want to make the mistake of taking up with a two timer again. Then the MC life catches up to the club and all the ole ladies lives are in danger. But not only is a drug lord after the club but Violet's ex husband is trying to get to her too.
Excitement and action as lives are put on the line and danger is only a heartbeat away.
Fantastic story and read. Will keep you enthralled in the MC life.

I gave this 4 stars because it kept me interested. This was a very short read and it was like, straight to the point. Basically, Violet just divorced her cheating husband. Luke is her best friend's older brother who has always had a thing for her but never acted on it. Now that she's no longer married, Luke sees this as the perfect opportunity to make his move. But, Violet is not trying to hear and go there. Her ex-husband Adam did quite a number that she can't trust any man. And the fact that Luke is her BF's brother, she feels like that's against some unwritten law and should not be crossed. Besides, her husband Adam was no where near anything like Luke--no comparison.
In the meantime, while Luke is trying to figure out ways to woo Violet, some bad guys hop into the story to try to stiff arm his MC into doing things they're not about.
I gotta give credit to Luke. He was very patient, if not persistent. He saw what he wanted and went after it, knowing that there were things he had to do to make it possible. Violet, she kinda annoyed me. She knew she wanted Luke. And every time they ended up doing the 'deed' then she'd come up with an excuse as to why it was a mistake and shouldn't happen again....ugh....Girl Bye!!!
In the meantime, while Luke is trying to figure out ways to woo Violet, some bad guys hop into the story to try to stiff arm his MC into doing things they're not about.

Mountain Man's Price was a quick fast paced read filled with lots of suspense and drama and lets not forget to mention the the steamy sexy scenes.
Luke has wanted Violet a long time and now that she is seperated from her cheating husband he steps in and tries to sweep her off her feet but the sassy woman is fighting him. He wants to show her that not all men are players and cheaters and that she can trust him..... Violet isnt ready to have her heart broken again, when Luke suggests a friends with benefits type of relationship she accepts..... But Luke keeps breaking the rules....

A enjoyable fast paced action packed suspenseful romance with some drama. It is well written with an engaging storyline that I found exciting. Violet is in the middle of a divorce and having a hard time, her ex was openly cheating on her and broke her trust. Luke happens to be her best friends older brother and sees Violet and something changes in him that he knows she is the one for him and wants to settledown with her. Her emotions are all over and she brings a fierce protective side in him a good emotion love story.

Another great book
This book had so much intrigue, bad guys and love. Luke had been watching Violet for a while, she would watch him too. Violet was in the process of divorcing her cheating husband. She didn't feel she could trust another man. Luke worked his magic on her getting her to date him. The previous MC President was serving a jail sentence for drugs, attempted rape and other things he was involved with. Coop the new MC President works with the police to arrest the drug lords henchmen who attacked a couple of his group. I can't say everything about this book but it's sooo good and exciting. Read it, you'll love it. :)

Picked this up as a suggested for you on KU. I probably should have read reviews and I wouldn't have started the series, because you know me, I struggle to DNF. Writing this review after DNF'ing the series after book 6. These books are novella length, which leads to poor world building, rushed/lackluster relationships, and just not a lot of depth. I only made it to book 6 because I wanted to see the stories of the main characters who had been mentioned since book one and because the overarching plot needed resolved. I was PISSED at book 4 and felt betrayed by the author for allowing the FMC to be harmed when she chose to save the previous 3 FMCs from horrible situations in time. I feel like book 7-9 she was just throwing in new people for the sake of trying to keep it going.
The author does all readers a disservice by not putting appropriate Trigger Warnings. Her statement was vague and honestly, if she had done due diligence, I would not have read this series based on the TWs.

Im really loving this series that Ava is putting out. Its about sexy MC men and the women they want. They will go to great lengths to get.
Luke has had an eye on Voilet for a while now, but soon ups the Anti when Voilet sends him messages that she wants him as well.
After a night of sex and loving Luke decides that he wants Voilet as his and hes not going to give up. But it takes an incident that brings her to make her decision
A thoughly entertaining book to read. Thank you for a lovely read. A well deserved 5 stars

Ryker that use to go to Luke;s club owes 50,000 in debt for drugs to some bad people so now everyone has to watch their back.
This has some steamy moments and I like it how luke is with violet , he knows she likes him more then she will admit.
His price is that she sleeps with him and goes out for dinner.

Not much to say about this story - JUST READ IT!
It is an amazing story with a great storyline and plot. The characters are likeable and well described. They develop nicely through the book. Their chemistry and passion flows of the pages and makes the story feel real. They are suit each other in the best of ways. A couple that has a lot thrown at them before they can get to their HEA. But a journey that is worth following. Both has a past they have to struggle with but can they make it.
