This is one of the most practical and easy to read college texts I’ve encountered. Grounded in theory, chock-full of examples and role playing exercises, this read is straightforward and to the point. I breezed right through it and plan to use it in practice going forward.

I am a counseling student and have read a lot of different counseling strategies books. This one was by far the best I’ve read. It was well written and very good at dividing subjects and making them work together. Great book!

Really enjoyed this resource. I found it straight to the point and helpful both in terms of suggestion and pointing to sources for additional information. The other aspect I enjoyed was the fact that at the end of the book there were suggestions that are specific to group types.

Perhaps one of the most practical texts so far that helped with contextualizing practice.
