Great reference book. If you ever want to have a reference book on Fighters and Bombers, I would suggest buying this book. It's not even too costly, considering the fact that it comes with color pictures and glossy pages.

I have always loved aircraft, and this book does a wonderful job of explaining the jets and bombers that are used in the military. The only one that it lacks is the Lockheed Martin SR-71 Blackbird.

An excellent reference book for any military aviation enthusiast. The photos are excellent and the research is comprehensive. I'd like a bit more about their operational history and their strengths and weaknesses against contemporaries. It lists the Air Forces that use the aircraft but not in any depth about the conflicts they were involved in. However, an excellent read.

This book is a combination of two books and devotes a half-page, a full page, or two pages for each aircraft covered. A lot of aircraft are covered, from the famous Spitfire to the less famous Douglas B-18 Bolo. This book is quite large and has a lot of information. I really like this book because it gives me enough information about each aircraft without drowning me. This book doesn't cover all the world's military aircraft, but it covers enough aircraft to satisfy me. However, there is an overwhelmingly large amount of British aircraft being featured. I wish that more attention had been given to the Japanese, French, and Soviet air forces. Nevertheless, I've had this book for about a year ansd I don't plan in giving it up anytime soon.

I truly believe you will not find a better reference book on the subject in such a convenient size and acurate text. Filled with great photographs, the reader will learn about the different styles and makes of both fighter and bomber aircraft that the major militaries have used and are still using today. A nice mixture of exact information and general trivia lets the reader decide how much they really want to know about each aircraft. A great read for enthusiast of aviation and military history.
