This book is about two people that met and had a one-night stand. However, destiny, life or whatever it was, had other plans for them and, when Iliana leaves her country to do an internship and finish school, her life is turned upside down when she meets no one less then Seb, the one-night stand.
Both of them are met with some unexpected news and with a blink of an eye, their whole lives change.
What an amazing book! It deserves the 5 stars absolutely.
It was beautiful! The only part was the odds of them meeting again, but despite that, everything was breathtaking!
Also, I found incredibly amazing how strong, independent and determined Iliana was. How she was able to scape and keep it together was absolutely amazing. That's the kind of women we can get an example of.

Well written with amazing characters, drama, fate, suspense, betrayal, family, obstacles, steamy chemistry, some twists and turns to keep you turning the pages to see how the story unfolds, true love, and a happily ever after, make Claiming My Duchess a very enjoyable read.

Iliana is embarking on a new chapter in her life. She's finishing her master's degree as an intern to a royal photographer in a country her father ran away from. Her bestie throws her a last night out before she has to go and she comes face to face with the most handsome rear end. Yes, I know it sounds strange but what's attached to that rear end is her perfect one night stand. Seb is embarking on his own new adventure back in his home country. He is obligated to take over his father's role in the royal family. His job is to watch over and protect his cousin who is the crown princess and only six years old. He doesn't want to job but he has no choice. When he sees Iliana, she too is the perfect one night stand. But fate has a different plan.
They are shocked to see one another again especially since Iliana is meeting the royal family for the first time and can't seem to get a curtsy to go her way at all. She has no balance for it and winds up hurting herself. It takes the eyes of a child to out her dilemma. Seb is just as shocked to see Iliana too. But where they go after her gets her cleaned up is no longer a one night anything. I loved this story and how different it was from other royal romances out there. There are no illusions of a happily ever after for either of them. They both have their baggage from their past but sometimes fate and protocol over ride their feelings.

WOW!!! I loved this book. I really want to give it more than 5 stars. I’ve read a few books from Jessica Blake and she has quickly become one of my favourite authors. Iliana is moving to Cassia as an intern to the Royal Photographer as the final stage of her Master of Fine Arts degree. Sebastianos is a Prince and Duke from Cassia. They share a random one night stand in San Diego, they exchange first names only and don’t ever expect to see each other again. Of course, destiny or Lady Luck has other ideas. This book tells their story. It is a wonderful story full of friendship, love, mystery, intrigue and even danger. The characters are wonderful, even the evil ones are wonderfully evil, and Jessica’s style of writing had me fully involved. I had planned to read a couple of chapters and then retire for the night. Yes, you guessed it, once I began the story I simply could not stop until I found out if Cassia remained the beautiful country that Jessica describes so well. I especially needed to find out if Iliana and Seb found their happy ever after. If you want to know too, I highly recommend that you read Jessica’s book. I will warn you, I think you’ll probably end up wanting to read some of her others too. Congrats to and thanks for another outstanding story, Jessica.

Delightful Royal Romance!!
We meet Iliana (aka Squeaks, short for Pipsqueak) who is small in stature and mighty in attitude. She is preparing to leave the US and work an internship and complete her Master’s in Cassia where her father was born. A distant relative even offers her housing during her stay. One last night out with her best friend Jennifer results in a delicious one night stand.
Upon her arrival to Cassia, Iliana realizes that her one night stand in the US was with the Prince Sebastianos Xenakis, Duke of Becktonas – what are the odds? Seb mistrusts the coincidence of Iliana though the attraction persists. He has vowed never to marry as his life is a “fishbowl” and he will not subject someone to that scrutiny.
Being royal and second in line to the crown is not easy. First in line is a delightful character Princess Penelope who is currently six years old. It is deemed “too dangerous” for her to ride a carousel, until Seb agrees to ride with her.

Couldn't finish it. Gah! Who did your research, girl?
It started off interesting even thought I am not into one-night stands. And the incredulity of royalty being at a Chinese dive bar is again, incredible, but there isn't enough space on this earth to plop an imaginary island country the size of Alaska where she said it could be!!! Talk about ecological changes, making its presence impossible! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Gah! What a joke! And I'm speaking as an Alaskan! We're talking a land mass of more than twice the State of Texas!!! I would have gone for something a tad smaller girl. That made me say: "I cannot in good heart finish this book." I can't get this ridiculous statement out of my head!! Alaska! Try something the size of Nevada for starters or something close.
I got this book from Bookfunnel and tried to give it my best shot, but how can I take this author seriously?? Did she really research what a country this big is like?????????? Especially where she said it should be? Sure, it's smaller than Australia, but that is still big in the island department!

One hot one night stand
This is my first time to read a royalty romance & what a hot one it was!
Iliana is set to leave San Diego for her native land to get her masters degree in photography and she wants to go out with a bang. She hasn't been with a guy since her break up over 8 months ago & she tells her best friend Jenn she wants to have fun before she leaves.
Iliana meets Seb in dingy Japanese restaurant/bar, she is in awe of his butt & they hook up for a night of fun. The chemistry they have is scorching hot. But Ana leaves before Seb wakes and he thinks he'll never see her again. But as fate would have it Ana ends up doing her internship in his country.
This was very well written story that has just the right amount of surprises to make you want to keep reading! And Jenn, Nate & Penelope were awesome as well. Would love to know if Jenn and Nate cou!d have their own story☺
Once again Jessica brings us a story that is definitely worth our time to read!!

I absolutely loved this love story! A fairy tale romance thrown in with a little twist. The love story that unfolds between Seb and Ana is magically written. They first meet in San Diego, as what should have been a one night stand. Fast forward to Cassia, a small European country. where Seb was known as a ‘playboy prince’ and Ana was a small-sized American who was supposed to be finishing her schooling in Cassia where she was an photography intern for the Royal Family. They try to fight the chemistry, but soon learn they cannot. Add in a little royal sabotage and intrigue, and you have yourself one heck of a book. I did not want Seb and Iliana’s story to end.
Jessica Blake is becoming one of my favorite authors. Her female characters are strong and their love stories are believable. They don’t change who they are for the men in their lives.
And Jessica Blake sure knows how to write some chemistry! :)

Recently retired from the military, Sebastianos prince of Cassia/Duke of Becktonas and head council to his cousin the Princess of the small island of Cassia is spending his last few days in America. He runs into Iliana at a bar the night before she leaves America to spend a few weeks in Europe and Italy before ironically moving to her Great Aunt in Cassia to complete her Master of Fine Arts degree in photography as a royal photographer. This is an attraction at first sight, accidental baby, mildly steamy, modern day Cinderella full length romance filled with down to earth drama in the form of klutzy Iliana, her boisterous friend Jenn, the precocious Princess, and the steadfast Nate. Irony, humor, some suspense and the potential of war made this an ever changing and interesting read.

“Claiming my Duchess” by Jessica Blake is such an amazing book. I am literally blown away at what a wonderful book this is. From the very first page I was caught up in the love story of Sebastianos and Iliana. You get everything with this book. Edge of your seat suspense, humor and sizzling hot romance. Each and every part of this book had such incredible details without being “too much”. Jessica brought these characters to life in such an amazing and sexy way. I can’t begin to describe how much I loved this book. The depth of each character was terrific and so well developed. This author makes the good characters great and the wicked characters terrifically evil. This is a must read book. I did not put it down until I read the very last sentence. I can’t wait to read more from Jessica Black. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Their names are as swoon-worthy as their love story: Iliana and Sebastiano. Claiming My Duchess was my third read in this series—and my favorite so far. Iliana and Sebastiano’s love story is believable (which isn’t always the case with romance novels) because the author took the time to develop an exciting plot. They meet and have a memorable night and fate brings them together in another country. Surprise! He’s a Prince/Duke. As their story unfolds, I became personal invested in how it turned out! Every character (even the “evil” ones) was engaging in a way that makes you want to know what happens to whom and when. If you aren’t a fan of Jessica Blake, you will be after reading this romance.

Wonderful read.
This book is filled with uncertainty, then love, suspense, anxiety and much more. The characters meet by fate twice and nothing is the same for them after that, some bad, but mostly good. This story intrigued me. I love stories of royalty, and this book did not disappoint. I was glad to see that an engagement was not at the end of the story, as so many are. I liked that the wedding was written about. I would have loved to have read about the ceremony in detail, but it was good the way it was written. And of course, the births. Love reading about births of babies. This is a well written book. I couldn't put the book down was I started. I recommend this book to anyone.

THE HEAT IS ON!!!
Man, talk about walking right into the future fast! Wow! This is an awesome tale with a strong storyline that has a refreshing plot that rocks. This is one intriguing story that has all the suspense, drama and action with a total bent and rules of their own. The characters are complex, relatable and realistic. Their personalities come out to play with such individuality and qualities that balance out perfectly. The scenes are well thought out and brought together beautifully. Throw in a few twists and unexpected surprises and you have the mix for one engaging read. Jessica totally nailed this bad boy with a realism rarely matched. Her insight and imagination are something to behold. You totally rocked this baby Jessica. Thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

I absolutely loved this book. It was a true fairytale story of a modern day romance. We have Sebastianos and Illiana and couple who did everything backwards but that really didn't matter. It was the story itself that we wanted to know. Here she is, this American who had a rough time after losing her boyfriend but before she finishes her schooling She goes to her father's home country where her one-stand happens to be from and can you say...heartwarming. They go through so much and find out that one magical night also created 2 more people. So as you can imagine things are rushed, people are kidnapped but most of all l9ve is found. This is a must read. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.

I pretty much enjoyed reading Claiming My Duchess. It's a contemporary romance story, but you sort of have to suspend your belief system a little bit. I know everyone is on a royalty kick right now and there are lots of little girls around the world dreaming of being royalty and finding their prince to live happily every after. The odds of something like this actually happening in real life are totally incredible (hence the suspend your beliefs), but if you can live in a fantasy world where this could happen, then you have a great read. There is lots going on including a few twists I didn't see coming along with some I did. All in all it is an enjoyable read and great way to escape everyday life for a period of time.

Iliana aka Ana, and Seb meet one night in a restaurant and share a night of passion. Just one night and each go their way. Until later when the cross paths once again and there Ana discovers Seb is royalty of the small country she is visiting while completing her college work. Once they meet again things really heat up between them but there are some difficulties and twists and turns they have to conquer leaving you to wonder if they will ever get their HEA? You must read the book yourself to find out. You will enjoy their story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book and am giving an honest review.

An amazing fairytale twist with romance, fate, mystery, suspense, danger, sizzling hot chemisty, passionate sex in the feel good romance that had me intrigued from the beginning to the end. Imagine going to a chinese restaurant and having a connection with someone with off the charts chemisty. Then months later your touring Europe where your visiting to finish your masters degree and that one night stand was no ordinary man. Iliana and Sebastiano found themselves in this predicament. I loved following this to the end to find a HEA. I voluntarily reviewed this standalone ARC and will definitely be adding to my permanent collection.

Great characters, great story, great read!
Iliana is spending her last semester of graduate school abroad and wants her last night in the states to 'go out with a bang'. Sebastianos is enjoying his last few days of anonymity before taking on the role and title he was born to and has been avoiding for years. They meet by happenstance at a restaraunt/bar and it leads back to his hotel room for what they both believe will just be a one-night-stand. Little do they know that in a few short weeks of staying on each other's minds, they will meet again in the most unlikely of ways...

The book was well written, and wickedly awesome I could not put it down. Seb and Iliana meet and the sparks fly. She sneaks out and does the walk of shame and leaves him no clue as to how to contact her. The story is beautifully written and fate intervenes when the two lovers meet again. Seb is a prince and has never loved and Iliana is an American intern. There story unfolds and there are fireworks and obstacles armies, skirmishes, espionage and faith hope and love prevail. I loved this book and I will read it again.

Claiming My Duchess by Jessica Blake was a good read. Anyone who likes a Harlequin movie type of story with palace intrigue will love this book. Iliana meets Seb in a Chinese restaurant one night and ends up having a one night stand. Months later while on a European tour, she meets him again and finds out he was more than some guy in a restaurant. He is royalty in a small European country where she has come to visit and finish her masters degree. True love has a bunch of bumps along the way but wins in the end. I enjoyed this book and recommend it.

Unexpectedly addicting...I don't usually read royalty romances but, this one hooked me from the start with amazing characters. Iliana and Seb's "chemistry" is unmistakable and is written in such a manner that seems real. Their thoughts, expectations and responsibilites are not exaggerated or excessively dramatic but, leaves you with a depth of emotion that rings true. I think the story touches on so many levels, romance, royal life, family, politics and betrayal that you get sucked into the small country and people around the palace. I recommend this book to all romance enthusiasts.

As an ARC reader this is my honest opinion. This reads overall quality of writing was very good and deservers a 4 star. Plenty of suspense, drama, and best of all romance to keep your interest from first to last page. Plenty of steamy hot intimacy scenes that too were well written. No cheating or cliffhanger and you get a happy ending. There isn't anything that makes this read stand out to quite make a 5 star, yet just the quality of writing alone with the well thought out story makes it a cut above the rest. Enjoy!

There is Ana and Seb who meet at a restaurant and end up having a one night stand. Fast forward a few months and they meet again while Ana is on a tour of Europe. Seb is not who he claimed to be, not just some ordinary guy. This is a well written story with good main and secondary characters and a story that keeps you reading to find out what happens. Chemistry is off the charts with lots of twists and turns in the plot line. Enjoy!!S

A Great Read
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. I really enjoyed this book from Jessica Blake, It has a great story and it kept me engrossed from start to finish. I loved the chemistry between the great, engaging characters and also the way they interacted with each other. This is a really enjoyable story. There is lots going on in this book and it kept me hooked on the storyline from the first chapter. “Claiming My Duchess” really is an entertaining, intriguing book and I really enjoyed reading it

I loved the chemistry between the great, engaging characters and also the way they interacted with each other. This is a really enjoyable story. There is lots going on in this book and it kept me hooked on the storyline from the first chapter. “Claiming My Duchess” really is an entertaining, intriguing book and I really enjoyed reading it

What a wonderful story! Loved the way the book started at the Holly Green Dragon bar, & how Iliana had to wear her short & t-shirt to the bar because she sent her clothes to Cassie where she is going to be for the next six months. She meets Seb at the bar & they have a one night stand before she leaves the Country. They thought they would never see each other again, but that is where date proved then wrong!
This book has got the lot, action, kidnap, car chases, love, sex & happy ever after! It is well written by Jessica Blake, who did amazing job that kept my head in the book!

Terrific! Amazing! Compelling!
I LOVED IT! The characters were terrific, especially Penelope. She was adorable and just grew on me, especially for her courage. Iliana is also something else with her “can do” attitude that shows not only the strength of her character but also of her love. Sebastianos turned out to be Iliana’s match in all ways. The rest of the characters were also so well depicted that they seemed real. Great story and writing make this a must read!

This is a must read! What a wonderful romantic book! When Iliana plans to have a night of fun she couldn’t have guessed it would be with gorgeous hot Seb. She’s starting a new chapter of her life and wants this one night of fun. Well they have it and it’s glorious! But unbeknownst to them both the royal family she is going to be photographing is his. Seb happens to second in line to the throne. Their chemistry is undeniable and their passion is breathtaking. This story is captivating I couldn’t put the book down. Loved the book!

Loved the fairy tale feel to this book! Seb is a royal trying to forget about his duties while in San Diego, CA. Illiana has one semester left on her masters and is taking her broken heart to Cassia to study. Her friends begs her for one last night at home, determined to have her meet a hot guy before leaving. Seb and Illiana have one super sexy night, figuring they will never see each other again. Fate is in their favor when her intern job photographing royal family put her in from of Seb! No spoilers, you have to read about their suspenseful, super steamy and sweet tale!!

Amazing read! This was my first royalty read. I think I've become addicted! Seb and Iliana's chemistry catches you from the first moment she checks out Sebs butt! Even though they only had a one night stand the two cannot forget about each other "Chemistry"!! I loved how Jen, Iliana's best friend was so supportive of their relationship and im hoping to read Jen and Nates story too! I really hope Jessica Blake decides to continue Seb and Iliana's story! This was a great book and im so glad i was given an Advanced Readers Copy of this fabulous book for my honest review!

I loved this book from beginning to end squeak (Ana) Or Illiana her real name is a strong but small statured woman who has a one night stand with The duke of Cassia who she knows as Seb and from there the adventure begins from her coming from San Diego and her friend Jen joins in for a short time but then Squeak falls for Sebanstaino and the rest is Cassia history great book Jessica !!!! I recommend anyone who loves romance novels like I do to read this book!!!! Claiming my Duchess you won't be sorry you did!!!!
