‘‘सकाळच्या वर्तमानपत्रात पहिल्याच पानावर ती बातमी होती. अगदी सोळा पॉइंटमध्ये छापली होती. स्टेशन रोडवरील बंगल्यात स्फोट. मग खाली तपशील होता. गेल्याच आठवड्यात स्टेशन रोडवरील एका बंगल्याला मोठी रहस्यमय आग लागली होती. आगीत कोणतीही जीवित हानी झाली नसल्याचे निष्पन्न झाले होते. त्या रहस्यमय प्रकाराचा पोलीस तपास करीत असतानाच त्याच ठिकाणी काल रात्री बाराच्या सुमारास एक प्रचंड स्फोट झाला. स्फोटाची तीक्रता इतकी भीषण होती की, तिथे जमिनीत सुमारे चाळीस चौरस फूट व्याप्तीचा आणि सुमारे वीस फूट खोल असा खड्डा पडला आहे. दोन्ही बाजूंच्या बंगल्यांच्या दाराखिडक्यांची तावदानं या प्रचंड स्फोटामुळे तडकली आहेत. पोलीस अधिक तपास करीत आहेत.’’ श्रीधर आणि अरुणा यांच्या आयुष्यातलीच ही एक घटन

हे पुस्तक वाचल्यानंतर जर तुमच्या घराला तिसरा मजला असेल तर तिथे जाण्याआधी तुमचे पाय एकदा नक्कीच अडखळतील... धारप सरांच्या पुस्तकात असे काही प्रसंग असतात जे वाचल्यावर मनाला भीतीचा असा एक जबर हिसका बसतो की जरा वेळ तो वाचायचं धाडसच होत नाही.... असाच एक ह्या पुस्तकातील प्रसंग अक्षरशः अंगावर येतो...

Such a fantastic story mixing mystery elements with horror contents. I had not read any book of this genre earlier having single story in entire book, and I was wondering how such genre story can be written without stretching it unnecessarily. And boy, I was so wrong. This book keeps you on edge while reading, couldn't keep book aside without finishing. The story revolves around a bungalow, rather a piece of land, possessed by some mysterious things which is kinda parasite, which feeds on people living there. Must read.
