"Wes, will you marry me?"

Aww, this gave me such good vibes!!
I love seeing Wes and Dustin being together; happy and thriving.
Their relationship is still so good and so sweet and so hot!
The dynamic they have just works so well!

"I always thought I'd be single forever. And kid-free. But then I met you and everything changed. Now I love having a home together, somewhere to come back to. And yeah, I keep having these stray thoughts about what our future might look like. Years down the road. That sort of thing. Because I want to be with you forever, and thinking about growing older together makes me really happy."

They not only have amazing chemistry together, they honestly have true love.

Novella muy cortita que funciona como un epílogo de la historia de amor entre Dustin y Wes.

Dustin & Wes are making a life for themselves away from the worlds they've always inhabited as adults. No army life no Oregon, no California, no North Carolina. They've moved to D.C. for work and it's also a neutral city where they can forge a life that's purely their own. Fur baby included. I had a good time and so did the guys.

Trigger warnings: nothing? It's like 30 pages long.

This was...fine? It features my least favourite couple of the series, but it also features a proposal and a kitten being adopted. What more do you need?

A free short update about Wes and Dustin from Annabeth Albert's Wheels Up. I found the novel to be boring. But this short story is sexy and sweet. I didn't remember that Wes and Dustin enjoy a rather kinky sex, so that was quite a nice surprise. Also, the fact that Dustin prefers to own a cat than a dog as pet is HUGE PLUS POINT in my eyes *laugh*

My bad. I read this ficlet, didn't recognize anyone in the story .... and then realized that I hadn't read the corresponding book in the "Out of Uniform" series - Wheels Up.

HOMEBODIES is a short and steamy between-the-numbers followup on Wes and Dustin after they've moved to DC with plenty of heart to be had. This is not a stand-alone, Wes and Dustin have already been given their story. This is a quickie ficlet to let the readers catch up on what they've been up to since their book came out.

As always, Ms. Albert kindly and graciously offers these shorts to her readers for free via instafreebie.
Thank you, Annabeth Albert, for that generosity and for keeping us up-to-date on our beloved characters!

Honestly, this is the first of the Out Of Uniform shorts that I didn't love, and I've been trying to think about why that is. I mean, obviously, it has different characters. Dustin was never my favourite character, and I remember Wes being what saved Wheels Up for me. In this story, Dustin came across to me as annoyingly cocky and, at times in the first half particularly, very fake. That is to say, I liked him even less in this short than I did in the full novel.

My favourite part of this one was them talking together about how they were going to be cat parents together. And the teeny tiny white cat that immediately stole their hearts.

I am so in love with this series, and I loved getting this little extra addition to Wes and Dustin's story! I also loved Dustin's love for LeeLoo! And the ending! AH! I can't wait to see who Annabeth Albert brings to us next in this series! If you haven't started the Out of Uniform Series, I highly recommend them all! I couldn't put these books down!

Wheels Up is my absolute favorite of the Out of Uniform series. There's just something about Dustin and Wes and their long journey to a HEA that I can't get enough of. So, I squealed with joy when I saw that they were getting a ficlet! In this story we get a tiny little snippet of the guys living life in DC and I was so happy to see them happy and in love. Swoooon. I would take a second book for this couple in a heartbeat!!!

Wes and Dustin in suits, adopting a cat and a marriage proposal?! Yes please!
Only rating it 4 instead of 5 stars because of how Wes reacted to the proposal. Listen, it’s not them or the author, it’s me. 😩 I get why Wes was reluctant at first but it destroyed the whole atmosphere for me and made me feel bad for Dustin, who put so much love and thought into this moment.
However, all in all, cute little ficlet and a must-read in the OOU series.

Cute short story featuring Wes, Dustin, and an adorably fluffy cat... These two aren't really one of my favourite couples from the series, but this was an enjoyable little piece of fluff (with a dose of sexy goodness, of course).

For some reason I hadn't realized that there was an extra short story with possibly MY FAVOURITE COUPLE EVER in it. So when I was made aware of this, you can bet that I smashed through spacetime just to get my hands on it.

This was lovely. A really sweet short story, that provided excellent closure for my OTP. It was lovely to see them working together, it was lovely to see them still having fun in bed and it was more than lovely to see them getting a goddamn kitten. Not long, but definitely what I needed.

I really enjoyed "Homebodies" by Annabeth Albert. These short "behind the scenes" type novellas are a great addition to the series. What a fun way to stay up to date with what our favorite characters are up to in between books. Keep them coming and I'll keep reading!
Enjoy!

Homebodies, An Out of Uniform short book 4.5 by Annabeth Albert. I just read my first book by this author and loved it. So I looked to see if I had anything else by her in my TBR pile. Loved the short story! I might have to lookup the other stories in this series. Loved the characters.

I love Wes and Dustin and was glad they managed to find a way to have a HEA (without too much risk of being court marshaled). It was nice to see them settled in their new on the east coast, and enjoying their life together. Wanted more of course - but glad to even get this shortie.

An M/M short story that is a sequel to Wheels Up.
Dustin and Wes are finally together in the open and learning to live and work together. And even take it a bit further.

The steam meter is the usual moderate level for my taste with a touch of D/s! No switching though.
