This interactive pop-up book aims to encourage dental hygiene through a series of vignettes featuring various animals. While functional in its premise, the absence of a cohesive narrative framework may limit its overall impact. The text opts for direct, repetitive instruction over storytelling, a choice that could make the core message less memorable or persuasive for its intended young audience.

Any book of this nature, of course, relies on parental involvement to be effective. However, a more engaging and imaginative story might serve as a stronger aid to that instruction, providing a more compelling reason for a child to adopt the desired habit. The artwork and pop-up mechanics are competently executed and serve their illustrative purpose, but they support a concept that feels more functional than inspired.

Ultimately, the book is a serviceable, if unremarkable, tool for its stated goal. It accomplishes its basic task but may not possess the lasting appeal or persuasive power of a more story-driven approach to the same topic.

This is an awesome book for encouraging little ones to brush their teeth! Each page has a different pop-up animal and an interactive element that helps you brush their teeth (a tooth brush that goes back and forth, or is on a string so you can use it to brush, for instance). The only hesitation I have with this one is that the pop-up elements may be a little fragile for young ones who have trouble being gentle - otherwise, it's awesome.

This book keeps kids engaged with the fun interactive Pop-ups. Pop-up books are a great option for kids, especially when it's an educational book. The added bonus of moving parts can really help with a child's imagination.

This is my favorite book about brushing teeth and my son's favorite too! It has moving toothbrushes that allow him to practice brushing forward and back, top and bottom. It even introduces the concept of flossing. While most tooth-brushing books are focused on getting kids over their fear of going to the dentist, this one is geared to helping kids learn how to brush their teeth.

Great book for teaching kids about brushing their teeth. I mean, if animals do it, why wouldn't kids want to?? I especially loved the interactivity of the book because kids can "brush" and "floss" the teeth of the animals as they go.

This book is great because it is a pop up book so the kids will love it! I will use this for when I teach dental health in February. It is a book about different animals brushing their teeth and flossing. I would keep this book away from the bookshelf because it may get destroyed easily.

We refer to this book every night and every morning while my two year old brushes his teeth. "Let's brush like the lion!" The pop-up style is great - keeps kids engaged.

Extremely popular with the kids, but it gets damaged in the library very quickly and the story is dull.

Still recommended as a book to use before the dentist comes to school.

My daughter usually fights brushing her teeth but did it willingly tonight. Five stars! Note that it's a sample size of one night.
