Though lacking much authentic Welsh blood, Kim Lawrence comes from English-Irish stock. She was born and brought up in North Wales. She returned there when she married, and her sons were both born on Anglesey, an island off the coast. Though not isolated, Anglesey is a little off the beaten track, but lively Dublin, which Kim loves, is only a short ferry ride away. Today they live on the farm her husband was brought up on. Welsh is the first language of many people in this area and Kim's husband and sons are all bilingual she is having a lot of fun, not to mention a few headaches, trying to learn the language! She is a keen gardener and cook and enjoys running often on the beach, as living on an island the sea is never very far away. She is usually accompanied by her Jack Russell, Sprout don't ask, it's long story!
With small children, the unsocial hours of nursing didn't look attractive so encouraged by a husband who thinks she can do anything she sets her mind to, Kim tried her hand at writing. Always a keen Mills & Boon reader, it seemed natural for her to write a romance novel. In 1995, she published her first novels and now she can't imagine doing anything else.
This book have been in my radar for quite a while now. Finally decided to take the plunge! I usually love this author’s dialogues. But here sometimes it was frustrating and other times hilarious. Hero and heroine was quite smitten with each other from the first meeting itself and the chemistry was off the charts. But technically heroine was married, although to a lying- serial adulterer. That bothered me a tiny bit because though he ditched their supposed second honeymoon and heroine was quite sure there is another woman involved, as far as I remember she hasn’t taken any final decision regarding their marriage. Still the scene were all of them meet together accidentally was very entertaining . I also loved epilogue. Recommended.
The heroine was married to a cheating scumbag, she needed love, passion and understanding so she had an affair with the hero. When the hero found out she was married, he dumped her on her ass not knowing she was pregnant with his child. Six months later and they detected that the heroines baby had no heartbeat, it was born stillborn. Now the hero has made a reappearance in her life and he's finally finding out the truth.

A fast paced passionate emotional read. The wonderful heartfelt writing just brings the emotion alive so you can feel their pain and love. A great read.
I didn't think I would like this due to Lily having an affair with Santiago while married....but, this was a good fast paced short read and I really like it. Will try other books by this author.

i LOVE this book !!! and i think that the introduction/description doesn't do it justice ...
first of all it is an amaaaaaaaazing love story combined with lose and passion .... and let me just say i LOVE Santiago ! he is Awesome !!! OK back to the story >>> the story begins with a very broken Lily, she is devastated after a bad marriage that ended in divorce and on top of that she lost her child after being six months pregnant :(
i couldn't help but feel for the Heroins loss ... her husband cheated on her more than once !!!
Now as for Santiago >>>> he's got Lily back in his life and he suspects that the child she lost was actually his !!!! This a story about love from first sight , Romance and lots and lots more !
now I'm such a romantic person ,,, so for whoaever out there that's just like me ,,, i say go a head and try this one :) you won't regret it ,,,
A great twist in that the heroine, Lily, was married when she has a holiday affair with the hero, Santiago. He finds out about her husband and was not pleased. Upon her arrival back home her hubby asked for a divorce and from that a point on her life seemed to fall apart.
A year later Santiago and Lily meet each other again through mural friends and the truth about her situation and the reason why she has gone through the changes she has.
It was a heartbreaking story and while I do not condone infidelity, it was totally excusable in this story. I was happy to see Lily find a few days of happiness after years of none.
Heroine's travails were compelling, and I found her fine enough, but the tyrannical hero's misogyny and pathological need to control everything around him made this book a wash for me. No amount of handsome makes up for being a cruel creep, IMO.
Good writing style. Great characters--super alpha male, smart heroine who doesn't fall at his feet. Lots of angst. But I didn't feel a love connection--there was lust, remorse, anger, but I didn't get a sense of real love. A good read, but not very romantic.

Lilly and Santiago met when Lilly was supposed to be on a second honeymoon with her husband. He unfortunately was unable to get away from his mistress to make it. The H and h have a week together and then he finds out she is married (he thought she was widowed). He is cruel and sends her away and they part for about a year. When they meet up the h is divorced and he is angry. Yep I loved this one. I will be rereading it again....
It's written in a very odd way. Like the scenes end without any notice or fleshed out. Weird. I honestly hated it 20% in. I only finished to see if it would get better. It did not. Ended abruptly and weirdly too. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
