Jamie Bennett knew that warrior angel Ambrose Griffin was hers from the moment she learned that the things that go bump in the night are real. She, along with her friends, was forever changed the night the lightning struck and altered her fate. But what she doesn’t know is that while Ambrose might be hers, she’s missing someone else.
Ambrose always holds himself back because he can’t afford to lose anyone else. He’s lived and lost lifetimes over as he’s fought for his people, and though he knows that Jamie could be his if he takes that risk, there’s something missing. Or, more accurately, someone.
When Jamie is kidnapped and sent to hell, Ambrose will not only risk a war between the realms to find her, he’ll find his heart in the process—in Jamie and Bailin. When Bailin, a demon from hell, meets the two people who could fill his heart and his soul, he’ll need to fight for something he hasn’t felt in over a century—hope.

The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💙💚💜 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘 World building: 🌎🌍🌏 Character development: 😤😠🙃😍 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Solo Narration
The Heroes:Ambrose & Bailin - Ambrose is a warrior angel who works for the council to punish supernaturals who break the law (basically letting out that supernaturals exist). Ambrose was best friends/brothers with Shade from Dust of My Wings. He has lost too many people in his long life and refuses to fall in love and possibly lose more. Bailin is a demon from Hell who had forsaken his oath and refused to take souls into the hell realm. His father, Pyro, the king of the demons was waiting for him to die because he was afraid Bailin would free the slaves and gladiators if left to his own devices.
The heroine:Jamie - Jamie is friends with Lily from the first book and like her, Jamie was hit by the freak lightning storm that hit the bar, Dante’s Circle. Because of Lily, Jamie knows that if she finds her true half like Lily and Shade, she might become a supernatural. She knew from the first time she saw Ambrose that he was her true half. Though he acted like she didn’t exist.
The Story: Ambrose lost a family in the past and couldn’t go through that again, though he knew he was attracted to Jamie, so he was determined to find a man for her that could be her true half and awaken the supernatural inside her. Little did he know, that Pyro had it out for him because Ambrose had scarred Pyro in the war and he noticed Ambrose had an interest in Jamie. So he kidnapped Jamie and brought her to hell.
The story was good and a bit different than any other story I have read before. Jamie is a pretty strong female lead character and the whole story about the “true half” (a.k.a. fated mates) was interesting, especially since there are two men that feel they are the true half to Jamie.
The book is told in multiple points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Gregory Salinas. I like his voice and he puts a lot of emotion into his narration. Though I do like to have more narrators when there are three main characters. It is sometimes hard to tell who is talking. It didn’t help that some of the dialog was a bit corny. Like “she’d have to get the hell out of, well..Hell. She would have to think about another curse at some point.”
Also there were a bunch of different covers for this book, but only one cover for the audio version and it is one of my pet peeves when the characters on the cover don’t match the description in the book. Ambrose is described as having white wings and long white hair, yet the cover pictures two men, both with short dark hair.
What if you had turned on ABC The Family Channel and found Cinemax Late Night R/X rated porn playing? That is basically what happens in this book.
I have no problem with authors writing gay romance, or with anyone reading it if they wish. I DO have a problem with an author pretty much sticking it into a series that is supposed to be about 7 women finding their "other half". I found it dishonest and totally disrespecting her readers.
Let me be clear, this is a series with an amazing premise, the first book was excellent and other than seemingly borderline erotic it had a very good story (as does this book I should mention). I scanned huge portions of this book not only due to the "triad" which held absolutely no interest for me but for large portions that seemed to have no real purpose other than to make this book many pages longer than it needed to be to tell the story.
I plan to read the rest of this series since I am invested in the characters but this book shows me that the author cannot be trusted to adhere to the impressions of the characters that she has already established since Ambrose was pretty much alpha male in the last book and suddenly feels like going at it with man or woman is just kewl.
I did finish it mainly because I will move on to the next book but if this is supposed to be a gay series it should be labeled as such so the target audience will know what to look for or to avoid as the case may be.
Hopefully, the next book will adhere to the premise of the series and not be a testing ground for the author to try out her writing talents in alternate lifestyles. I would hate to drop the series but paying full price for a book where you skip 30% of the book seems a waste since there are many more books to be read that respect their readers a bit more.
Bottom Line: Good story, surprise gay sex (please nobody try to tell me that the last minute addition of 2 lines to the bottom of the synopsis makes this ok). Sex of any kind aside, pages and pages of filler where nothing of any value is added other than just pages and pages. 2 Stars, would only be 3 Stars I fear without the sexual surprises.
Before I read a book, I like to read the synopsis, it gets me hyped up about the book. I do this before I watch a movie too, I'll go online and watch the trailer. I know I'm weird. So after reading the synopsis and seeing the cover of this book AND having read one of Carrie Ann's "triads" before in another series that left my heart racing and opened me up to a few new things in the world of romance, I was itching to start Book 2 in her Dante's Circle Series knowing we were going to have a triad.
Her Warriors Three Wishes exceeded my expectations. I love this story.
Jaimie, Ambrose, and Bailin are the perfect triad. They complete each other, which shows Carrie Ann's talent for character development. These characters on their own are amazing, well developed and intriguing but together they are a force to be reckoned with. I love how Jaimie stands strong no matter what she's facing and in this story she faces a lot. As a reader you can't blame Ambrose for his fear and your heart aches for Bailin. Knowing that they will face all the odds and face them together makes this an amazing love story.
On the heat meter I give it a 10!!! I have read M/M before and I love how tasteful Carrie Ann writes it and how as the reader you are not turned off by the chemistry and love between our Alphas, and with Jaimie in the middle of this alpha sandwich the heat just keeps rising.
The world of the Dante's Circle just keeps getting better and deeper. I was very happy with the growth of Carrie Ann's writing from book 1 to this book. Again I know what depths Carrie Ann can take a series to and I can see how deep she will go with this series.
I am a huge fan of Carrie Ann and her work, I happily give Her Warriors Three Wishes, Book 2 in the Dante's Circle Series, 5 out of 5! I think Carrie Ann has a niche for triads and I am happy that there was one in this series and I hope for more.
This story just didn't do it for me. There was so much repetition and lacked too many things as well. The characters were not fully developed, I don't understand Balin's decision to not take souls in a realm where it is necessary to survive, actually his whole back story leaves me with more questions than answers. The "triad" didn't seem to have any chemistry. I got tired of all whining and repetitive reassurance that they weren't alone anymore.
The sex was not my thing and I ended up skimming or down right skipping it. I like M/F/M menage and I apparently didn't do enough research before starting this because that combo was what I thought I was going to get. M/M does nothing for me unfortunately because a lot of people seem to like reading it.
So in my opinion the writing didn't flow smoothly, there was too much repetition, there was too much internal dialog that left me bored, and there wasn't the feeling that these people belonged together, it felt forced.
The second book of the Dante’s Circle is a wild adventure of intrigue, action, romance and a hot triad.
Jamie is one of the human females struck by lightning and as she is awaiting her destiny, she is abducted by a demon that has a grudge against the warrior angel, Ambrose. Balin is the son of the demon that has brought Jamie to hell and he is dying because he refuses to take human souls. Ambrose has to get to hell to save them both, because they both are his true-halves. And then the Djinn become involved and they want Jamie out of the picture.
The plot is fast paced with lots of action and suspense that flows smoothly with the romance between the three. The author kept everything balanced and conveyed all the emotional turmoil that each character felt with such accuracy that the reader is drawn into the drama. Each scene of battle and friendship and romance was painted in vivid clarity making it easy for the reader to picture the entire book.
The characters are strong and believable and portrayed in such a way that they come to life, connecting the reader to this entertaining and engaging read. This story continues the series with its refreshingly unique world of the supernatural, with more surprising twists throughout the book. I can’t wait to read the next one in this series.
I couldn't wait for Ambrose's story. That "stick up his butt" angel really needed to find love. He closed off his heart and turned away from Jamie. Thinking he wasn't "deserving" of a new mate. But when Jamie is kidnapped and Balin is added to the mix, he can't deny his destiny or his fate any more. And he finds he doesn't want too. The addition of Balin really made this story for me. I loved that big old demon! He is so sweet. I know, sweet and demon don't seem to go together, but for Balin, it fits. That demon really deserved some happiness. I loved watching Ambrose loosen up and except what he'd been missing all his life. And poor Jamie! She has the most to overcome. How does a good, christian girl accept that she is mated to not one, but two crazy supernaturals? But, Jamie finds her inner strength and grows into a fierce champion or her own happiness. Her Warriors Three Wishes is a thrill ride not to miss.
I'm really enjoying this series, I couldn't put this book down. The characters are interesting and a bit intriguing, I'm enjoying learning more about them. I like how the author is bring in different types of supernatural characters to the story, it's a nice surprise to discover. I look forward to reading more of this series, the author has left me wanting more.
I received a copy of this story from the author, my review has been voluntarily submitted.
Highly entertaining, magical, exciting, action packed and sexy paranormal triad romance. Perfect for a late night cuddle before bedtime creating some sweet dreams reading.
Ambrose Griffin the oldest and strongest angel warrior and all around alpha male bad-ass. Jamie Bennett sweetly sexy, charming best friend of Lilly from book 1 and bookstore owner. Balin Drake sexy hot demon with a heart slowly fading from refusing to consume innocent souls. They try to resist each for different reasons but ultimately realize they need each other for many reasons including survival. Loved every heart pounding emotional twist and turn.
This book was better than the first one for me. It started out with a lot of action but also a lot of angst with regards to the angel. It was an interesting triad book that is definitely not for the prudish among us. If you’re looking for something spicy in your reading list then this is the book for you. And it has a good storyline so total win-win
I enjoyed the second book in this series. Ambrose really needed to get his act together. Balin is an interesting choice for Jamie's second true mate. They are far more powerful together than seperate. I look forward to the third book to see more of the girls find their mates.
I loved the originality of the plot in this story. The premise of humans chosen to become supernatural entities by a higher power is fabulous in itself, but there was also an added bonus as this was a ménage between a human, a demon and an angel. Oh and the ménage is MMF which is ALWAYS a winner for me; you know in my world everyone loves and has sex with each other :D I loved the set-up of the games too; very creepy and disturbing but a fantastic setup for a hero-rescues-heroine-from-mortal-danger plot device. Although the amount of rape threats unsettled me slightly...
To even entertain this one, you have to be OK with the insta-mate plot device. You also have to be OK with the fact that, in this particular plot, once that other half has been recognised, the human lady in question will be sick until the mating has been finalised. I’m used to the whole device (I’ve read PNR for year’s people) but I have to say that the use of it here left me hating Ambrose. He left Jamie suffering for a year whilst he denied the bond and, to be honest, that hacked me off. It also made me feeling a little...conflicted. I wanted Jamie well but I didn’t really think Ambrose was hero material. However there was no way for the situation to be resolved without a pairing and this made me feel stuck. Thank heavens for Balin is all I’m going to say J
The first third of the book was a little slow for me, with things in the scenes occurring and resolving a little too conveniently for me to truly invest in any conflict, but after that I really engaged with the story-telling. From the part where they were altogether I started to get into the book and from then on in I enjoyed the tale. I particularly enjoyed the character of Balin; the whole born demon but chose to be good was a fantastic angle and I just loved his ability to be completely open with both of his mates. He was swoon-worthy J
My favourite part of this tale was the romance between the triad. I felt, after the ordeal they all went through, the romance was vindicated and I didn’t have a reason not to want them together. It is always hard not to take a insta-mate romance with a pinch of salt, and not really care about it, but this romance truly did make them better people. I also liked that the MM aspect of the romance encompassed the fact that both of these men were warriors (no mean fete) and didn’t make me feel they were any softer for their love for each other... oh, and the scenes between them were ridiculously hot! The sex scenes throughout the book were full of chemistry and heat but, I must confess, I enjoyed the ones with MM contact more.
There were a multitude of different sub-plots within this book and it did keep the storyline fresh and keep the pages turning for me. The action never quite stopped but through it all the romance kept building and by the end I did want them to be happy. I loved that I already know the next romance too.
Overall, this was a good read with a premise that will keep me reading the next ones in the series. With a steamy MMF ménage set within a paranormal world, it certainly increased my blood pressure and left me wanting more J
I am a Carrie Ann Ryan fan and this is my favorite series of hers. I think because the premise is flippin' awesome. You take a circle of friends who are all so different and happen to hang out at a dragon shifter's bar (swoon) there is a catalyst (read book one to find out what) and one by one their supernatural traits present themselves and there lives are changed. Oh and add true love, a bunch of heat, and did I mention... a dragon shifter.
This is book two in the series and focuses on Jamie, who owns a book store (love that). She also happens to be more than human and is just beginning to discover who she is and what it means. This book is filled with adventure, an awesome heroine, an angel who is stuck in the past, a demon trying to be more, and oh yes, a dragon shifter. Can you tell who my favorite is ;) ? If you love smart heroines who kick butt, super hot angels and demons, unique lore, and a super fun story then this book is probably a perfect fit for you. This book does have a very hot, very non-traditional relationship, so keep that in mind when deciding this is the book for you.
This story had a good plot, but as one of the other reviewers said, it wasn't fully developed. There was no real explanation about why Balin would not take souls or why Pyro hated his son so much (I know he was a problem because he didn't take souls, but that seems to be more of a reason to exile than to kill). There was little explanation of the original fight between Pyro and Ambrose. The triad seemed forced and written more for "shock" value than as a true menage. Granted I prefer M/F/M menage but I don't have a problem with other menages if they are done well.
This book just did not work for me. There was a lot of inner monologue that just got very repetitive after awhile. I read the first half then skimmed the rest. The intimate scenes weren't even all that exciting. They just seemed forced and unnatural. There was also a lot of information of things that weren't as important, such as their inner feelings, and not enough to explain what is actually going on in this series. I got the gist, but a little more explanation would have been helpful. I am not sure if I will continue the series.
This story follows the identical outline of Dust of My Wongs, only the names of the characters changed and place, where a lot of the story takes place, is hell. And, of course, the three main characters have two True Halves. The part in hell was an enjoyable read. The True Half stuff was boring. And cliched. It didn't have to be, but she took the lazy way out. Once again, this story lost something because it is also a setup for the next book in the series.
Omg, my 16 year old doesn't even talk this cheesily
I can't believe I paid money for this. The dialogue hurt my teeth it was always so sugary and full of cheese. And the inner monologues were even worse! The "sexy times" were anything but. I've been searching for some decent MMF books. This was not a good choice.
I enjoyed this book much more then the first. Sometimes is take the 2nd book in a series to get the development right and I was glad I gave this author another chance. On to the 3rd book.
I really wasn't sure what to expect going into reading this one since it was my first in a few different ways, but I was game to give it a try when I got the opportunity. It was my first book by this author and it was my first menage et trois. Upon finishing the book, I've come to the conclusion that I would definitely not mind reading more of the author's books and under certain conditions I would be alright reading menage stories.
Now this is the second story in a series which I wasn't aware of until I started reading (my fault for not paying attention). I discovered this because it was quite obvious that it was a continuation of an existing storyline. Thankfully, other than a few spoilerish things for the first story, I had no trouble getting into the world-building, characters and continuing story threads. I definitely want/need to go back and read the first story and I am eager for the upcoming stories. I do want to note just in case it makes a difference to people that it looks like each story is generally a m/f relationship based on what I can tell from the storylines in this one.
But what of this story? Well it begins about a year in time after the conclusion of the first story when Ambrose the angel warrior wraps up his responsibilities in the angel realm (or gets done hiding out because he ran like a coward the year before from his true mate- perspective, right?) and knows it is time that he return to his responsibilities to help guard the vulnerable human women on the earth plain. He left them in the hands of his best friend and the dragon warrior Dante' and he knows he should have never left. Its time to right that and confront the female to which he is connected with as a true mate. He perceives that their connection may involve a third mate making them all a part of a triad. He's determined that he will find their third member, set the other two up and continue as he is so Jamie no longer has to suffer from the effects of him starting and not finishing the mating process.
Jamie has gone about her business over the last year trying to keep her failing bookstore business afloat and trying to set aside the hurt feelings she has because she thought she had a connection with Ambrose, but then he left her and never came back. She has been told that he has been kept back in the angel realm at the council's request, but there is the suspicion that he could have come to her if he wanted to. All this on top of the fact that she has felt tired and weak since he left and it only gets worse each day. But now here he comes strolling back into Dante's where she and her girlfriends gather acting like he's just there to treat them all like his responsibilities and that she means nothing personal. Jamie is angered and leaves not wanting to see this additional proof that he means something to her, but she means little more than duty to him. Unfortunately, that's when an old nemesis of Ambrose's sends his minions to capture her and drag her into the Demon realm as bait with full plans to ravish, torture and then slaughter her before Ambrose's eyes.
Balin, the son of an evil demon father who just wants him dead because he won't go against his morals and take souls, is down to his last few days. He could save himself if he started eating souls or if he found his true mate. As neither of those things will happen at this juncture, he readies himself to die. That is until fate intervenes in the most fantastic way. A human woman that his father has captured and plans to do wicked things to before selling her for the coliseum games turns out to be his mate. He now prepares to spend the very last bit of his waning energy to free her and make her his.
Their paths convene when they all arrive at Jamie's cell. Its quite a shocking introduction to say the least particularly for Jamie who isn't sure if this surprising turn is such a good thing. Along with Hunter, the wolf shifter who has been imprisoned and made to fight in the arena for years, they all set out to escape and then save Balin as well as unlock Jamie's powers through a forced bonding. Its not that simple and plans must change, but eventually they achieve the impossible and make it back to the human realm as a bonded and mated triad. That's only the beginning it seems. The trio must fight the prejudice of their various races, fight their own feelings of inadequacy and work hard to form an actual relationship all with powerful enemies breathing down their throat from more than one direction.
As to what I thought of the story, I found the plot exciting for the most part particularly the first half. It bogged down a bit in the middle to me, but that's because I'm not one for unnecessary angst and drama. Now, I get that bringing three people together in a relationship is going to provoke a certain level of drama that I can accept. It wouldn't seem authentic otherwise if the relationship had no growing pains. The trouble for me is that the issues had nothing to do with the menage and everything to do with Jamie pulling herself together and realizing that its not all about her and that her men have pasts that go back hundreds of years that may affect their behavior. There was the whole attitude thing she had when the guys tried to protect her. She's human and frail against powerful supes and then when she gets her power, she admits she's clueless how to use it, but jumps to the conclusion that its because they are neanderthals and treating her like their little woman. (Hel-lo, little girl! They're just trying to keep you safe and alive.) The other peeve was the other track her mind was on. She just can't get past Ambrose leaving her for a year. He's explained about his dead wife and children and being afraid. He's not only apologized, but his actions backed up his true remorse when he went after her into the demon realm at great personal sacrifice and then made it clear that he was committed to both her and Balin. But she just kept bringing it up and hurting him with it. The third time, she stands there, hears his explanation (again) not seeming to see that her words hurt and then tells him to let it go. (Really Jamie? You're the one that brought it up and jabbed the poor dude in the heart while you're at it how is he possibly ever going to let it go if you don't?) Okay, got all that out of my system. Sorry to go on about things. Oddly, even with stuff like that going on, the relationship came together pretty quickly. Not very realistic, I'll grant you, but I really didn't mind because I liked them and wanted it to work out. Each member of their relationship brought something to it-not just because they're three different races though that's kinda cool- and they respected each others strengths and protected each others weaknesses. The dynamics were fluid with each giving and taking the lead though I think age and power seemed to determine roles too. I should point out that this is a true triad in that they are all into each other- m/f/m, m/f, m/m/f and m/m- and have no trouble with the smoking hot physical side of things even if they've got a long ways to go with the emotional and daily stuff. The story ended with a huge bang-up battle sequence and then a light denouement that left things open for the next couples' story.
I can recommend this to those who enjoy smoking hot paranormal romance involving a menage.
The book is much longer than it needs to be, circulating around to each person processing their emotions completely. Jamie (the female) goes on about not being weak. Ambrose (the angel) goes on about not being worthy. Bailin (the demon) goes on about his father … on the other hand, his daddy issues are warranted. While it was nice not to rush to the end emotionally, the amount of internal musing exceeded my toleration.
The sex scenes (of which there are several – working all aspects of being a triad) are each unique to the situation and location, if not to the people's emotional situation. Even with all the emotional musing, there isn't emotional growth within the romantic angle.
Good part – the jeopardy of the lower plane was real, even if the damage disappeared as soon as the wounds did. Bad part – When demon-boy decides to cut out, after both the woman and angel had their turns – which were logical. His wasn't logical or emotionally satisfying – and he took like 2 seconds and 2 chapters to convince he was being stupid. While I understand trying to balance emotional growth, this one was completely not him and felt too formulaic. Worst part – Overuse of clique romantic language. “I will protect you.” “No one can love me.” and stuff like that.
Overall an average romance. The characters and situations are all believable (within the accepted bounds of the paranormal romance category). But it could have been 25% shorter and been much better.
I received a reissue of this book in exchange for an honest review. Jamie Bennett is a bookkeeper and a romance novelist who dreams of finding her true love. Jamie and six of her friends were changed into supernaturals when they were struck by lightning while they were at Dante's Circle. Their supernatural powers do not manifest until they meet their true half. Ambrose Griffin is an ancient warrior angel who lost his wife and children in the last Angelic Wars. Ambrose is sure that Jamie is his other true half but refuses to give his heart away, so he hides from Jamie in the angelic realm. Jamie is captured and taken to the hell realm. Ambrose travels to the hell realm to save Jamie. While there, he and Jamie meet Balin Drake who is the other part of their true half. Balin is a demon who is dying because he refused to bring human souls into the hell realm. With the help of a wolf shifter and a young demon, the triad fights their enemies and their issues to escape hell. I love how strong Ambrose, Jamie, and Balin are individually but complete each other to make their triad stronger. Her Warriors' Three Wishes is a great second story to the Dante's Circle series. I love Carrie Ann Ryan. Highly Recommend!
I really enjoyed this story! I was able to get into this story from the beginning because I've read the first one. I think that this does stand alone to a point but you are definitely going to get more enjoyment out of it if you have read the first. The first book does a great job of really setting up this world, and while this one hits the things you needed to know from the first, you don't get it in the same amount of detail. I loved the characters in this. Balin and Ambrose both have a hard time with what they've been given because of their past. Neither is sure that they deserve Jaime and what she offers. I loved how everything went down. This is a well written story and pulls you in from the beginning. We get to see the characters develop a relationship while in the midst of trouble. I loved seeing their strength and them work together. The sex is explicit and fits the story and characters. It does have m/m scenes. The story flowed smoothly and had a great pace. I loved the action and intrigue that we get. We do get to see the other women and interact/catch up with them a little bit but not as much since Jaime is taken to Hell for part of the story.
This is book 2 in the Dante's Circle series. It takes us on Jamie's journey after being struck by lightning with the other 6 women. She is taken to hell by a vengeful demon and there she meets Balin. Balin needs to find his mate in order to live since he, as a demon, refuses to take lives. That is the only way to save his life. Little do either of them know that they have more than one mate! Enter Ambrose, the angel who went to hell to rescue Jamie. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked all the interactions between the three characters and how they fight for each other no matter what. There was a lot of action between all the different things that happen along with the romance budding between them all. The fact that Ambrose and Balin also find love not only with Jamie but with each other just made the triad work in my opinion. I felt like this just pushed the main story ARC along it's needed path. This is a great installment in this series.
* I would recommend to read the previous book as it sets up a lot of the story that is in this book.
Jamie knows Ambrose is her true-half and she needs him to unlock her powers, but he has been ignoring her for the past year. Only her being kidnapped by demons will put Ambrose into action, but unbeknownst to them they will find their third half in that same hell. Balin's dad has Jamie kidnapped to get revenge on Ambrose, but since she is his true-half, he is scheming to get her free. Their triangle brings hope to all of them, but not everyone is very happy about it.
This second installment in this series felt a lot more fluent than the first book, this wasn't as cheesy and there was some very decent story in this book. The story also went a bit deeper and therefore held more of my attention than the first book. I really liked how this is a true love-triangle as there were also some MM scenes. It was fun and I have a bit of confidence back that this can be a fun series.
Okay, so at the beginning its been a yr since lily turned into a sprite & the gang of girls learned about warrior angels. Jamie gets kidnapped & sent to hell by Pyro, ambrose arch nemesis. Ambrose wing boy wonder (brooding pouter) saves her eventually, Hunter (wolf shifter) technically saves her from the wall w/chains, & balin, demon boy comes in to also rescue her.she turns into a djinn. Lily's pregnancy, 62%in she' showing & the girls are all wondering what they will be next from when they were all struck from the light strike from book one.
We've got anprelude to Becca. She gets mugged, hunter saves her, he claims she's his mate for the next book, she also gets attacked, almost killed. Jamie uses her 2nd wish to heal her. Her 1st was to make her triad complete w/her the boys. The 3rd wish is her stopping the storm & making sure no humans are aware of magic. The three of them live hea....

I really enjoyed Jamie's story. She met Ambrose but he is in such pain and isn't ready for what she means to him. But when she needs him, he moves past his pain and does what is necessary. Never expecting to gain not one but two mates. I adored Ambrose. He is a brooding character which Ms. Ryan articulates well. I wanted to hug his pain away even as he fought for Jamie and Balin. Balin was an equally compelling character. He fought his very nature to be something more and better. I loved his fight. I loved how Jamie, Ambrose and Balin blended together. Their relationship was by no means easy but it felt real and believable. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Ms. Ryan fit the pieces of this relationship into something strong and real. I enjoyed seeing these characters fight for their happily ever after and can't wait to see what Ms. Ryan has in store for us next in this series.
This one couldn't hold my attention. There was too much writing and not enough action and dialogue to break up the inner monologues. For me, it equated to a boring read. Jamie is a signature supernatural on the cusp of her awakening but needs sex with her mates to fully transform into her new self. Ambrose, the other half she thought was hers took off for a year and then came back to find the other link in the bond, a male he thought could make Jamie happy in a way that Ambrose himself couldn't. Jamie gets snatched to hell as a way to get at Ambrose and while there, Jamie meets Balin, her demon mate. The three get together and have their mating in a jail cell in hell and Jamie transforms into a genie. Couldn't finish this one, but for me though I'm slightly curious as to what happens to end the book, not enough to spend more time on it.
So this second installment of Dante’s Circle was filled with all the drama, action and magic of the first - with a touch more spice.
Have to admit I’m not overly fond of the Heroine- Jamie, more than once I was wondering when she was going to nip all her poor me self talk in the bud and pull herself up by her bootstraps and get on with it.
But her Warriors - Saved the book for me - yes they both had their moments of angst but both proved over and over again that the definitely chose the well-being of their mates over their own. Balin was my absolute favorite with his complete awe and amazement of Jaime and Ambrose - loved that he finally let himself believe for a future.
