Drawn in

A very well-written story with well developed characters and a strong plot. She was hired to play a part to help him succeed in a business venture. She became more. A hint of romance with dark edges.

I could hardly wait for the ending.

The book was very good with some mystery. I could only give it one star as it seemed like it ended right in the middle. Actually, it had no ending at all.

5 Smexy Stars!

Cover... First thoughts wish i had legs like that HAHAHAHAHA!

So if you loved Pretty woman this is right up your street!

Phillip A workaholic and Loner, wants to close with a promising "old money" client in Austria who's a Family Man, if a woman values a man he must be a man of value Mindset!

Wanting to appear on the same wavelength Phillip reluctantly ends up hiring High end Escort Elizabeth, who unbeknownst to him originally came from Privilege and can dance the scene in Vienna effortlessly.

Both Characters have an interesting backstory, really cant wait to find out more.

The attraction Between the characters is there, its just how each will overcome their reservations, pride and past that's going to be the deal breaker i think.

Another excellent read from Lexy Timms

And in true Timms style, she's left this one on one hell of a cliffhanger.
'Elizabeth' is a high end Escort. Her family once had money, until her father died and they went from riches to rags. With her mother in an institute for mental health, Elizabeth is left to keep everything together, financially.

Phillip is about to sign off on a huge deal that will see his company climbing the heights of the corporate battlefield. After his best friend stole his ideas and betrayed him, trust is a word that never enters Phillip's mind, nor leaves his lips. He has all he needs to carry on being successful, but here's the clincher... he actually doesn't.

The man Phillilp is hoping to do business with, is old school money and old school values. So when Justin, his right hand man, tells him that in order to look good, he will need a fiance. Phillips isn't exactly overjoyed. He doesn't want a woman. Doesn't need a woman. But this deal isn't going to get signed without one.

Elizabeth and Phillip have to spend one week with each other, pretending to be engaged and madly in love. How long will it take before it's no longer pretend...?

The week is over and they return home, only Elizabeth returns home to a note pinned to her kitchen cupboard. Someone isn't happy with the way her father ran his business before he died. Someone who is out to make her suffer because of it.
But she won't know where or when this anonymous person will exact their retribution... or if she'll even survive.

Wish.com version of Pretty Woman

The core of the story is that a wealthy money-maker's daughter becomes a high-class call girl after her father is incarcerated for bilking his clients (cough Bernie Madoff cough). Because she's lost her fortune, and has to pay for her mother's medical care (mom went insane after all that transpired), she changes her name and her eye color, and becomes an escort.
Um, what? How could it be possible that no one would know what a famous person's daughter looked like, especially if said famous person was in the news for his crimes? Totally unbelievable.
The male character alternated between being a dick, and being totally immature towards her. Worth millions, good-looking, didn't know how to act in most situations. I had zero connection to or sympathy for him, from start to finish.
Their chemistry was more like him being really horny 80% of the time, and her feeling hopeful that maybe, just maybe, he'd overlook the fact that she was a hooker - which is to say, there was no chemistry. All of the build-up with flirting and describing how hot they felt, and ... zilch.
The author tried so hard to make this book seem more erotic than it was, but failed miserably. This story was more or less a prim Harlequin novel with dirty words thrown in for shock value.
Seriously, I didn;t even care that the ending was a cliffhanger. There is no way I would waste any time reading another book by this author.

Elizabeth is kind of a darker, grittier version of Pretty Woman. Plus, there's the added element of suspense, and this story has an air of tension about it. There are enough differences that I wasn't bothered by the comparison, and I did get invested in the story, so it's not really a drawback for me. What did turn out to be a drawback for me was the MMC. Phillip irritated me for quite a bit of the book. I think maybe he was supposed to in order to highlight how good Elizabeth is in situations you wouldn't expect from a high-paid escort. So, irritated or not, it worked for the storyline. I'll admit that I'm still not sold on Phillip, but I'll reserve harsh judgment until at least the next part of the story. Speaking of, this one does end in a cliffhanger, and it revolves around the suspense in this romantic suspense.
Molly Secours gives voice to the characters, and her performance is very good. This was my first time listening to this narrator, and I enjoyed the listen. She does a good job with the tension of the story - both the suspense and the attraction between Elizabeth and Phillip. I'll definitely listen to her again.
As for the story, I'm invested in Elizabeth's journey, so I'll be looking forward to seeing how things go, especially after the last few paragraphs of this one.

You are warned from the start that this book ends on a cliffhanger and wow oh wow does it ever.

I'm obsessed with this storyline, it's sexy, heartwarming, and romantic. A darker adult fairytale and I loved it. I'm looking forward to reading the rest in the For His Pleasure series.

I loved Elizabeth's character, her drive to protect and look after her mother was so endearing and she came across so innocent whilst dealing with the traumas she had been through in her past (which aren't known).

Lexy Timms is a new to me author and one I can't wait to read again.

This is a cliff hanger story. He characters are well developed, Elizabeth is a call girl on the high end. Phil is a billionaire that has a meeting with man who he is trying to get the backing for a tech company he wants to start but the man is old school and deals with companies that are run by family men. Hince he needs a fake fiance. The story line and everything was great but I wouldn't have started has I been aware it was a cliff hanger. It is not a stand alone book. This ia why I only gave it three stars.

Good One

This was a good one even though I wanted to smack good ole Phil for how he was treating Elizabeth. He definitely had some ideas about escort service. I also wondered how her dad's situation would affect her storyline. Maybe we'll get more on the connection in the 2nd book regarding her dad. It would also be nice to see if the "father figure" Phil has his deal with ends up being more connected to Elizabeth or whatever she chooses for her name to be in the 2nd book.

Great Romance

Big cliffhanger, makes you go back for more. While I got this book for free from the Amazon Kindle Store, I was left really disappointed with all of the loose ends. So I ended up buying books 2 & 3 of the series just so I could find out what happens to both Elizabeth (Madison) and Phil. I normally don’t spend as much as I did for books 2 & 3 but the cliffhanger was so frustrating that I had to break my own spending rules.

Poor girl

I liked Elizabeth and feel bad for her situation. Caring for her mother, taking jobs that can be taken with little info supplied. A girl who's hiding. Call girl. High call escort. Not a prostitute. I like that it does bring attention that a escort isn't a prostitute necessarily. The MMC was a bit of an annoying jerk but he's a billionaire who knows nothing but work and has a negative view on escorts. I liked Elizabeth and her part of the story.

3 ⭐ 3 🌶️ 2 🎧

This was good. I'm not sure if it was the narration that gave me a hard time getting into it or the storytelling itself... I feel like I should have loved it but I was just wading through. The end got me excited and book 2 is a different narrator and one I love, so I'm going to keep going.

The audio was okay. It was really hard to differentiate between Phil and Elizabeth which made it hard to grasp what was happening sometimes.

I really enjoyed this story. It does end on a cliffhanger, like the other books of Lexy's I've read recently do.

Elizabeth is hired to be a fake fiancé, however, she ends up falling for him. She can't be with him though, she has secrets and he works way too much. It just wouldn't work, or would it?

I received a complimentary copy of the book and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Just want to know where this is going.

Didn’t realize this is one of three books....
Hate that I started this, but it is good enough to continue. Only wish more proofreading had been done, a few too many mistakes.

Not what I expected

The book starts slow but grabs your attention. I was drawn in and really wanted to see how it progressed. Elizabeth is an amazing lady doing what she needs to do to take care of her mom. Phillip is a billionaire looking to close the contract.

Spice is ok, storyline lacking. Editing subpar.

Spice is ok. Storyline has ok foundation, but needed more to develop before the abrupt ending. Editing was subpar-especially the typos.

I enjoyed it but probably not enough to continue the series. I didn’t realise going into it that it ends on a cliffhanger and the books aren’t in fact interconnected standalones. My own fault for not paying attention 😂

This novel started well with good spice and good draw between the characters. But once they actually were more intimate, there was a bit of slut-shaming kind of thought processes, and then the novel lagged. Also, it doesn't conclude, ending instead on a 'cliff hanger' that seemed unnecessary.

This was such a wonderful and heartwrenching story. It made you cry. It also is a series. The first book can be read stand a lone, but you will want to read more of course. You'll want to know what happens to the couple in the story. Do they become a couple?

Good Storyline

Although this book has a very good tale to tell, it's sad that the author feels the need to write a cliffhanger.
