This book was a gift to me from my BFF, the authors cousin, for our grandson Jackson who turned 3 today! He loved it! He followed along very focussed. He loved the hamsters and their adventures. He particularly loves to laugh and notice when Tips tail and butt are poking out of the igloo. Great read and has been and will be read over and over!!!

In this first installment of an early reader series, two little hamsters leave the pet shop for a new home. As it turns out, the man who bought them, Mr. Lopez, is a teacher and takes them to school. They have no idea what that is, but he has described it as noisy and fun. The book ends on a cliffhanger as the hamsters are waiting in their cage to see what happens next. Since Tucker is bold and curious and Tip is shy and anxious, they react in different ways to anything new just like many of us do. Teachers and caregivers could use the book to point out different coping strategies as well as to provide reassurance to readers that sometimes change is good. Because the book has been written in an interesting way so that youngsters can practice their reading skills while learning about life, they won't mind reading it multiple times.

Tip and Tucker are just about the cutest pet hamsters you can imagine! In this book, the hamsters are going on an adventure. It is actually a mystery for a young reader to figure out. There is even a little bit of Spanish text to interest the reader!

Tip and Tucker are two adorable hamsters at the pet store. Mr. Lopez chooses them as his new classroom pets. But, Tip and Tucker aren’t sure what is happening. Tip is especially scared of all the new sounds and smells. Tucker is excited about this new adventure. They don’t know what to expect, but they will get to experience it together.

This new early reader series is perfect for kids who are ready to move beyond picture books. There is dialogue for the kids to get comfortable reading conversations as well as common words that younger readers will recognize. These early reader books are a great way to get kids excited about reading and enjoying a story. The illustrations are adorable showing the two personalities of Tip and Tucker and their new environment. Kids will be excited about Mr. Lopez’s new classroom pets and will want to hear more about their experience. The next book in the series comes out in August 2019.

Tip and Tucker meet, and become best friends, while living in a pet store. Fortunately, they're both sold to Mr. Lopez. Altogether, this story becomes a pleasant adventure, not the literary equivalent of a horror movie.

Adjusting to their new home takes some doing. Both Tip and Tucker are hamsters, and they're also best friends.

Cute illustrations take us through the ups and downs of the gentle plot. And the ending is just superb.

Tip and Tucker is a book series and a great read for early readers. These two little hamsters go on a big adventure to their new home. Although they are best friends, Tucker is curious and loves all the new things, while Tip is shy and anxious about the change. Your little ones will fall in love with the duo.

Difficult to parse as we're dropped 'in medias res' and the book ends after the first chapter. I mean, I love early readers, but what a gyp to work out what's going on and then have to find the next book in the series... and I don't care that much because all I know is that Tucker is curious & brave, and Tip is timid. Whoop-die-do.
