LOCHGUARD HIGHLAND DRAGONS BOOK 5
**This isn't a standalone story. Please read at least Healed by the Dragon (Stonefire Dragons #4) first. I would highly suggest reading the other books in the Lochguard series as well.**

For Finlay Stewart, being a dragon-shifter clan leader is easy compared to managing his family…

Finn is trying his best to work and protect his clan on little sleep; having triplets is his toughest challenge to date. But with his mate, Arabella, at his side, he finds a way to manage. However, as things start to spiral out of control with a pregnant cousin, another cousin constantly containing a mate-claim frenzy, and another driving his eight-months’-pregnant mate crazy, Finn’s next mission is to find a way to ensure everyone behaves and toes the line. The only problem is that the MacKenzies are a stubborn lot and Finn may be in over his head.

However, as Finn soon finds out, his wild cousins are nothing compared to the latest surprise to show up on his doorstep. It’s going to take every bit of wit and charm he possesses to keep his family safe and together. Failure simply isn’t an option.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I bought the book, and I’m working on collecting all of Jessie’s books!

The cover is another beauty! Love it!

This is the 5th Lochguard book, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content. Even though it is not necessary, I would highly recommend reading all of Jessie’s dragon books in order because the world and characters are so much more together than separately! This world rocks!

This is more of Ara and Finn’s story. Finn is trying to keep up with everything and spend as much time as possible with his family. His family is giving him trouble, but nothing Ara isn’t happy to help him with. As the family grows the trouble does too, new things develop and new things are being learned. I don’t want to give anything away, but you will want to read this to see what is happening. I love how they all pull together when needed. This was a page turner that I couldn’t put down! I loved every second of the story. I can’t wait to see what Jessie fires up next!

I highly recommend to all dragon lovin’ fans because action, humor, trouble, and mates make a fabulous story for entertaining!

CUTE, SEXY & DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING !!!
Title: The Dragon Family
Series: Lochguard Highland Dragons
Author: Jessie Donovan
Designation: Book 5 of Series, Novella Length(App 125 pages), **NOT Recommended As A Standalone(See remarks), No Cliffhanger #paranormalromance #dragonshifters
Format: eBook Edition
My Rating: FIVE DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING STARS*****
**NOT recommended as a standalone. This is a follow-up novella for Finn and Arabella's story and should ONLY be read after Healed by the Dragon, Book 4 of the Stonefire British Dragons Series.

Wow! Jessie Donovan totally rocked my world - AGAIN - with The Dragon Family, the fifth release in Donovan's captivating Lochguard Highland Dragons Series. I don't know how she does it, consistently publishing unique, imaginative, and passionate storylines that tug at the heartstrings of readers, making us snicker, snort, sniffle, snuffle and chuckle, but she does, every single time. And I should know, I've been a fan since Donovan published her first book and now eagerly await each new release, but The Dragon Family may be my new favorite! Yes, I know I say the same thing every time, but this story is the ultimate treat for lovers of Donovan's dragon shifters and babies! And yes, I said babies! We have babies, babies, and more babies! Lochguard and Stonefire are literally exploding with babies! I'm addicted to romance, fascinated by anything paranormal or supernatural, love action and suspense, completely smitten with sexy dragons, a complete sucker for any story with babies, and adore storylines with sass, snark, and humor, so when I can find it all in one great read, I'm in absolute heaven - and Jessie Donovan delivers the perfect fusion of it all every single time! The Dragon Family is a fast-paced, easy-to-follow, exceptionally well-crafted and edited, laugh-out-loud-funny, novella-length paranormal romance. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with multiple perspectives, but the primary points of view are from two of my favorite characters, Lochguard Clan Leader Finlay Stewart and former Stonefire clan member Arabella MacLeod-Stewart who is now mated to Finn. The dialogue is smart, sassy, seductive and well executed. But my favorite component of every Jessie Donovan story is the cast of intriguing, engaging, always memorable and exceptionally well-developed characters. I fell in love with both Finn and Ara when they were introduced much earlier in the Stonefire series and always look forward to hearing about their life. I'm so glad Donovan chose to pair these two strong, stubborn, independent characters. They may seem like complete opposites, Finn with his charming personality and Ara with her stoic, no-nonsense demeanor, but their attraction was undeniable and their love for each other and their new family is stronger than ever. The only thing I love as much as Donovan's quirky characters is the banter between them and their dragons. It is beyond entertaining and quite often hilarious, especially now that most of the couples are expecting baby/babies or just had a baby/babies. It seems Lochguard is literally exploding with multiple births, as anyone who is a fan of Donovan's dragon shifters can attest. Of course, we also get the scoop on our other favorite Lochguard characters which naturally includes Lorna MacKenzie and her new human mate Ross Anderson, Finn's twin cousins, Fraser and Fergus MacKenzie and their human mates Holly Anderson-MacKenzie and Gina MacDonald-MacKenzie, along with Faye MacKenzie and her new mate Grant McFarland, and so many more! Oh, and several of the crew from Stonefire make an appearance! You know if Ara has a problem of any kind, then her brother Tristan MacLeod and his mate Melanie Hall-MacLeod will always be nearby for moral support and you better believe, Finn and Ara need all the help they can get now that they have triplets. I can hardly wait for all these dragon babies grow up to have their own stories. Of course, there are some fascinating new characters as well and OMG, Aunt Lorna's frenemy, Meg Boyd shows up with her two beaus! Yes, I said TWO! lol... If you love well written paranormal romance filled to the brim with heart-pounding action and adventure, spine-tingling suspense, agonizing angst, unexpected plot twists, laugh-out-loud humor, sexy dragons, heated attraction, fiery passion, and steamy, dreamy sex, then this is definitely the book for you!

Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? Absolutely! Many of Donovan's books can be read without reading the previous books in the series but I do NOT recommend The Dragon Family as a standalone. I strongly suggest, at least, reading Healed by the Dragon, Book 4 of the Stonefire British Dragons, prior to this book. Although the Lochguard Highland Dragons and the Stonefire British Dragons are two separate series, they are cohesive with an underlying interconnected storyarc throughout all the books with crossover characters. For that reason, I highly recommend reading the other books in the series. It will certainly enrich your reading experience and it will be one decision, I'm sure, you'll never regret. And FYI, Donovan's books are for adult readers only since it does contain naughty language and some very randy dragons! Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I was glued to my ereader, my heart fluttering wildly in my chest as the pages flew as quickly as the time. I always look forward to reading a Jessie Donovan story because I know before I read the first page, I'm always guaranteed a heartwarming story with a cast of wonderful characters and a lovely happy ending, and The Dragon Family was no exception! Congratulations Jessie Donovan on another fabulous book. I can hardly wait to see what you have in store for us next!

Finlay Stewart's job as clan leader of Lochguard is nothing short of difficult, and that's on a good day, but 51 complaints from clan members related to his three cousins in only one week is a nightmare. With Aunt Lorna and her new mate Ross Anderson away on their long overdue honeymoon, his cousin Fraser MacKenzie refusing to allow his mate Holly Anderson-MacKenzie out of his sight because she's expecting twins, his cousin Fergus MacKenzie and his mate Gina MacDonald-Mackenzie fighting a mate-claiming frenzy with their one-year-old toddler Jaime in tow, his newly pregnant cousin Faye MacKenzie-McFarland going ballistic at the drop of a hat and throwing plates at her mate Grant McFarland in public, who just happen to be his co-head protectors for the clan, and the constant threat of rogue dragons hanging over his head, Finn's life at Lochguard is officially out of control. But when a blast from the past shows up at his door after a shocking, very unexpected, and possibly tragic incident, the always easy-going Finn is ready to shed his charming persona and do whatever it takes to protect his family. Poor Finn! He may be the clan leader but he's a father first. Will poor Finn be able to protect his loved ones and manage to satisfy the clan? We'll see, but he may have a whole lot of help from his 'Dragon Family'!

Make Room for Daddy!

This was a great fun look at what the MacKenzie/Stewart family is up to. Never a dull moment with these guys that's for sure. Finn has his hands full with Ara and the triplets, his cousins are driving everybody crazy which in turn everybody drives him crazy, but he wouldn't trade it for the world. I loved how Ms. Donovan put together all the little details we have all been anxious to know about Finn, Arabella, the triplets, Fergus and his mate's claim frenzy, Frazier haunting Holly fretting over her pregnancy, Faye and her pregnancy hormones and finally Aunt Lorna honeymooning with Ross and to top it all off Tristan and Melanie show up with a big surprise for Arabella......How will Arabella react to her surprise especially at a time when she is fretting over the future of her daughter Freya?

The family is growing and there is more to come, in the meantime everyone gathers at Aunt Lorna's for her famous dinner, will there be food flying around?

Stay Tuned!

I love Finley Stewart and Arabella McLeod. These two have such an amazing relationship that when I found out there were going to have a second story I was really excited. Sometimes not every couple deserves a second story but these two sure did.

I loved the little family and having triplets is something else. This book however wasn't solely about them but they were one of the main focuses. This book had a lot of Finley's family with in it and I just love that. There were a couple things going on with The triplets but everything worked out in the end and I am glad about that.

I was very surprised of what happened with one of their children and how it had everybody freaking out and it is understandable but I thought it was just cute. I definitely want to see more of the triplets when they get older and I want to see more of the twin girls that were born.

Also I want to know more about Aunt Lorna's frenemy with the two males. how does that work and will they ever get a story because they deserve one. I'm hoping we get to see more of them in Allister's book The Dragon's Discovery.

The Dragon Family Lochguard Highland Dragons Book 5
by Jessie Donovan
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Dragon Family is a unique story. it's a emotional and magnificent book to read. I really enjoy reading the books that's written by Jessie Donovan. The Dragon Family is a special story because it allows the readers to be updated on the Lochguard Clan with all the new arrivals. I absolutely enjoy it when a author takes us back and let's us know how the couples are fairing with new babies and mating. This book is so compelling it held my attention from the first page to the very last page. This book is quite fascinating with all it's drama with mating and babies. It's so adorable that this clan doesn't just have a single birth, oh no the norm for them seems to be twins and triplets, but to top it off Finn and Arabella must have a baby crisis that will have you laughing out loud and saying how cute and adorable they are, who doesn't enjoy babies. OMG! Jessie not only hit this ball out of the park, she has absolutely ROCKED MY WORLD! I mean you can't help yourself as you will turn page after page until you have finish, plus this book isn't about one clan couple but basically it allows the readers to enjoy most of the clan's couples. Well at least Finley Stewart and his Mate Arabella along with his Cousins and their mates. There is nothing but a lot of funny scenes that will make you Laugh out Loud. I mean who doesn't enjoy a baby dragons especially the way Jessie writes about them and if you must know this is another awesome book where Jessie Donovan create extraordinaire paranormal worlds with astonishing characters. I really enjoyed her characters and reading her books. Jessie Donovan always gives us a humorous, passionate, exciting story. The Dragon Family words flow into this fast-paced, easy to read, well written that will have you laughing out loud. I must say that once I started reading this book I missed dinner and sleeping until I finish this story. This is such a captivating story I absolutely enjoyed every moment of reading it. WOW I can't believe I got to enjoy every character in the Lochguard Highland Clan again, Now this wets my appetite for the next Stonefire Clan story. THANKS Jessie Donovan for writing such a Fun, exciting and captivating story. I highly recommend this book but for your maximum enjoyment you should read all of the books in the series.

Ah the return of the Mackenzie's and the Stuart's the most scandalous family in the Lochguard series! I'm so glad we got this book because wow! As per usual Jessie manages to suck you in and keep you captive even with a novella. What went down in this one a lot of updates and family issues. With a few surprises and some uncertainty that had me with a knot in my throat.

Character breakdown;

Arabella: she's come a long way from the recluse she was and overcame a lot of her fears. She's so much stronger and able than before. And now as a mother she's an unstoppable force. I cannot wait to see what else she'll do down the line, cause you know she's not done.

Finn; the man has endure plenty with a chaotic family like his cousins it's amazing he hasn't gone crazy yet. Everything for him gets tested in this book and he had to overcome more while still being strong and able for his mate. Someone like Finn I would be glad to call my mate lol.

Freya; I can already tell she'll be a force to be reckon with, she'll definitely give her parents a run for their money. Grow slow but grow strong little lady you have a lot of strong women around you.

Declan & Grayson: I have. Feeling they'll be a lot like they're uncle's (Finn's cousins) but maybe a little more clever lol

The series only gets more interesting, with new things coming into light and the curiosity does not stop. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll fall in love with all the clans you meet. I cannot wait for what comes next.

The Dragon Family, Lochguard Highland Dragons #5

Jessie Donovan

What do Fergus, Fraser, and Faye all have in common? Surname MacKenzie and fierce sibling rivalry! Add in that they are all causing headaches for their Clan leader Finlay Stewart, and you have a good idea of Finn’s dilemma! How do you corral the madness?

Aunt Lorna’s away, Faye and Holly are pregnant, Fraser’s being Fraser and Fergus is fighting the Frenzy with his mate Gina. The Clan has put their foot down, they have had enough! But what to do? Finn has his own issues with 3 wee bairns!

Thus begins the tale of The Dragon Family, a glimpse into the lives of the MacKenzies, the Stewarts and oh what a story it is! Murphy’s Law has nothing on this lively group. Nothing is really as bad as it seems, just more lively. But it takes some masterful interventions to divide and conquer this group of wayward dragon-shifters! I highly advise reading the first 4 tales to get a true picture of how things work, who the characters are, and how things got to be, before tackling this tale. Romance, humor, adventure and more are to be found in the story. I can’t wait to see what Jessie is cooking up next!

I was given an ARC but the Review is all mine and freely given.

I have read and cherished each and every Lochguard and Stonefire Dragon books. I feel as if I know them. Finley Stewart the clan leader and his wife Arabella have triplets, two boys and one girl. Finley was practically raised by his Aunt Lorna and his three cousins, Fergus, Fraser and Faye. Fergus has a mate but is waiting to go through the mate frenzy with Gina. Fraser’s wife Holly is due to give birth any day and Faye and her husband Grant are pregnant as well. Aunt Lorna is on her honeymoon with her new husband Ross, who also happens to be Holly’s dad.
This book catches you up on everyone’s news. It gives you a snapshot into family shenanigans, new babies, finding long lost family, solving mysteries and Arabella putting her foot down about further expanding their brood. It was a fun and fast read, I loved it. One of those books you don’t want to end.
This is a family that knows how to love and live life to the fullest. I look forward to many more books about the Lochguard and Stonefire Dragons and don’t forget we have the Irish dragons now too!

Finn has his work cut out for him. His family is just driving everyone crazy. He has 51 messages from the clan about complains or concerns. Just want to bang your head on the desk and run screaming. Arabella is a great mom and with Aunt Lorna away, she has to step into those shoes to get the Mackenzie clan to act right. But things take a big turn and the past comes right back.

You have to love these two. Ara had a hard time from the very beginning of her life. Finn was able to finally bring her out but still she feels uncertain. But when Freya starts showing signs, I am not surprised that Ara feels like she may slip back into her abyss. Plus we get to meet her father that ran out on her and Tristan. That makes more drama. We have so much going on with Holly going into labor. Fergus and Gina finally going through the mating frenzy. Tristan and Mel visiting and bring a surprise. It was great to read about all the Mackenzie’s and a few others. I so enjoy reading about these Dragons.

I enjoy this series very much. It is currently my favorite “shifter” series. The author keeps the stories interesting and light, with a sense of humor which I prefer.

This is not a stand-alone novel. Any readers who have not previously read the other books in the series, as the author suggests, should at least read Healed by the Dragon/#4 first.

The Dragon Family is a 15 chapter “novella” that pulls together a lot of details from previous books, as well as introducing a new development with the H/h from “Healed.” I don’t usually prefer novels dealing with babies and children but in this case it seemed to fit. This was again a fun read. I know I will be rereading the entire series at some point.

As always, any readers offended by any sexual intimacy between married/mated couples in their books, should perhaps avoid this series, as it is present. Although, it is minimal in this novella and all these stories are fascinating. ;).

THE DRAGON FAMILY

I was so excited when I got this follow-up story, which I absolutely loved. The author has once again delivered another amazing read. The Dragon Family is a sweet and entertaining story, where we catch up with some of our favourite dragon families from Lochguard. And I was especially thrilled, as Finn and Ara’s book was one of my favourites of the series. And as always, Jessie has brought us a story that is intriguing and captivating, and I literally could not put it down from start to finish. I loved having an insight into what it could possibly be like to raise rambunctious and feisty dragon children, even baby ones. A really enjoyable read. A copy was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book with my honest opinion.

This was a great look in to the MacKenzie family. I loved how Ms. Donovan wove all the little details we have all been wanting to know about the every day lives of Finn, Arabella, the triplets, Fergus and his mate claim frenzy, Frazier haunting Holly fretting over her pregnancy, Faye and her pregnancy hormones and finally Aunt Lorna honeymooning with Ross.

There is so many irons in the fire of this book but Ms. Donovan weaves a fine story making you feel a part of the family too. I look forward to the next adventure in this dragon world.

I voluntarily read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion.

This is a real treat for fans of the series. You get to spend more time with some of your favorite characters. While some are facing challenges, there are also many blessings for them and unexpected surprises.

Finn and Arabella have really grown into their relationship. Arabella has really changed and become much more confident. I love how the family tease each other but are always there to support one another.

I highly recommend the series as it offers a great reading experience. There is such a rich mix of characters and storylines. I am looking forward to the next books which will bring us more special romances.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

Welcome back to the wonderful world that is Lochguard. Arabella and Finn don’t seem to be able to catch a break, with the attacks, ruling the clan and their triplets. This story wraps up a few of the loose ends for Fraser and Fergus as well, but is mostly centred on Ara and Finn. Their daughter is causing trouble and only months old. And welcome another surprise addition to the family. This novella is packed and I didn’t want to put it down once I started. Be warned though, while some loose ends have been tied more than a few are left hanging with this book too.

I absolutely loved this story! I couldn't put it down until I was done. This is not a standalone as you will want to read others in the series first. I recommend the entire series. We finally get to see Ara's and Finn's triplets and they are certainly adorable. We also get to see what is going on with Finn's cousins, Fraser, Fergus and Faye. There isn't a shortage of laughs and loving moments. An unusual event happens with their daughter, but our parents come through and it results in one of the sweetest moments between father and daughter.

This is a fun read!!!!
I am so happy that we got to see Ara and Finn and of course the triplets.
I'm one of those people who enjoy follow up stories and knowing what is happening to our characters lives even after their books are over.
I have to say that Jessie Donovan once again gave us an amazing book filled with action and laughter and of course many of my favorite characters.
This is a great addition to the series.
I love the crazy Mckenzie /Steward family!!!
Loved all the little details that the author put in this book.
An excellent job.

I love this kind of book in a series. The kind that brings together so many characters from the previous books to catch up on everyone and how they interact with their friends and family. Although it mostly centers on Finn and Ara and their three babie it includes so many more. And so many babies arriving and more coming in the future. The dragons still have their struggles but family is everything with a few suprises in the book, I loved it. This series is fantastic and along with the Stonefire dragons it is a amazing take on dragon shifters and their loves and life...and their losses.

Dragon Family Mayhem and MacKenzies

MacKenzies, in addition to Finn and Arabella, feature in this book manages to tie up a few lose ends from the previous books and also gets us to see the newborn dragon babies, one in dragon form. As well as the cuteness of that, it furthers the story of the poison we saw in Ireland and hints at further matings to come?
Great fun, as always, and it’s nice to see some of the original characters here, as well as world expansion - we see Australia soon - and a bit of sexy romance.

Arabella knows how to hit where it hurts, "you want ***, you know what you need to do. I'm not having any more children." There are times Arabella likes to boost Finn's confidence, "I'll always want you, Finn. Even if you grow a weird barb on your p***s." I loved this update onf Finn and Arabella, I loved seeing what's going on with their family.

I loved this short! I'm really interested to see how things progress with baby Freya and whether Gray & Dec start displaying the same signs as her. So happy that Holly and Fraser are officially parents now and I'm interested in the legend/prophecy surrounding their babies and where it will go! Can't wait for the next Dragon book!

Its fab to be back in Lochguard catching up with Finn and Arabella plus the triplets....and what a crazy ride it is. Its not just focused on them but lots of other characters get involved as well. The drama surrounding this clan is always intense but this emotional drama has your emotions going up and down like a yo-yo....brilliantly written as always

Brilliant

Reading this as a standalone, it is a good story of family redemption, renewal and love. Reading it in order as part of the overall series, it is an emotional story as the author has written in such a way that the reader is.invested in these characters and their lives, troubles and joys. Love this series.

Such a great book!

I love that we got the chance to catch up with Finn and Arabella. They're one of my favorite couples in this series! Getting to see how they're dealing with their triplets and the rest of the family was so entertaining. Enjoyed how it also touched base with the other members of the family! Definitely recommend this book!
