When one night of passion opens the door for a century of secrets to be revealed, Lily and Preston must fight for not only what they believe in but also what they love.

Susan Griscom’s POSSESSED BY A VAMPIRE is an exciting and worthwhile read. Becoming a vampire changed Preston (Elvis) Knight’s life for the better. Lily Grey’s life has become hell since becoming a vampire. This contemporary PNR is suitable for adult audiences. It is told from Preston’s and Lily’s point of views.

Susan Griscom does a great job with her character development. I like Lily. She has some compelling secrets. She is a great sister who will do anything to protect her brother, Julian. Preston is a worthy hero. He had a horrible life as a human. He is uncomfortable with others knowing his past. He is protective and determined. Preston and Lily have fantastic chemistry. There are a lot of things going on that make it difficult for the two to get together. Preston and Lily are both complex characters that have evolved tremendously through their lifetimes.

Preston has a great group of friends. They are loyal and would do anything for one another. I love the name of their band.

Dorian is an interesting character. He is complicated, and you are not always sure how he is going to react. He adds interest to the story.

The plot was original and well executed. I like how the character’s lives intertwine. POSSESSED BY A VAMPIRE is skillfully written and has great twists. This was the first book that I have read in the Immortal Hearts of San Francisco series. I am interested in reading both the earlier and future books in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

REVIEW: 3.5 stars--POSSESSED BY A VAMPIRE is the fourth installment in Susan Griscom’s contemporary, adult IMMORTAL HEARTS OF SAN FRANCISCO paranormal, romance series. This is musician and vampire Preston Knight, and vampire Lily Gray’s story line. POSSESSED BY A VAMPIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person points of view (Lily and Preston) POSSESSED BY A VAMPIRE follows the building relationship between vampires Lily Gray and Preston Knight. Preston Knight aka Elvis is all about the music but meeting mysterious and beautiful vampire Lily Gray tugs at Preston’s heart. There is something intrinsically sad about Lily Gray, and her on again, off again disappearances provokes the protective nature of our leading vampire. But Lily’s appearance on the arm of a powerful and ancient vampire pulls Preston back into the past, with memories of the who, what and how of his transformation. Hoping to free Lily from the invisible bonds of her maker, Preston sets into motion a plan to free the woman that he loves but discovers that Lily isn’t the only vampire in need of rescuing.

The relationship between Lily and Preston is one of immediate attraction but Lily is bound to another vampire in more ways than one. With her growing love for Preston threatening not only her life but the life of another, Lily finds herself trapped in a lifestyle she had never wanted. Preston is determined to make Lily his own but first he must destroy a part of both of their pasts. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including all of the previous story line couples: Lane and Vanessa, Josh and Chelle, Chelle’s father and vampire doctor Grayson, Cian and Maggie, Cian’s twin brother Lane and witch VAnessa, human confidante Ari, as well as Preston’s best friend Gage, Lily’s brother Julian, and Julian’s maker businessman and ancient vampire Dorian Sweet, and his right hand man Malik. As the requisite evil Dorian is a powerful vampire but the punishment for his sins does not suit the crimes.

The world building focuses on the Lily’s struggle to be free of a man who has threatened the lives of everyone she loves. Preston and his fellow band mates, vampires, witches and humans work together to free the woman with whom Preston has fallen in love. WE get up close and personal with Lily and Preston’s history; their previous lives as humans, and what transpired to bring them into the immortal life. There are secrets and lies that come to the surface revealing the truth about what happened years before.

POSSESSED BY A VAMPIRE is an encouraging and sexy tale of vampires in love, friendship, and family. The premise is energetic and spirited; the characters are colourful and passionate; the romance is captivating. The writing style is simple and easy.

I was sucked right in to Preston (Elvis) & Lily's story. Possessed by a Vampire can be read as a standalone. Susan is a fantastic storyteller. The writing is great and the story flows seamlessly. It's told in both Preston and Lily's POV. The characters are strong and likeable. I'm looking forward to Gage's story next.

Whoa! What a wild ride and with a wicked twist!

This is Preston's, AKA Elvis, story. He has finally found someone that intrigues him enough to keep him from running around anymore. He has found Lily, another vampire, but she has secrets galore. They always meet in the seedy part of town and hang out at the club, I.V. They are falling for each other hard and fast. Preston doesn't understand why she won't take the next step. He finally starts to break Lily's walls down by giving her a piece of him. She learns about how he was turned. Preston becoming a vampire was one of the best things that happened to him. However, for Lily it was a curse. He starts to feel like he is getting somewhere with Lily when she just disappears. Here is where it gets crazy. These two are connected in more ways than one. The depths of the secrets that unfold are intense! They do get their HEA but not without one helluva fight. I love that Susan Griscom gives us this piece of Elvis. This is a must read series!

This was my first book with two vampire lovers and I truly loved it. Press was loving and he had humanity and sympathy which aren't usual vampire traits. Lily has never known what it's like to be carefree and she is getting a taste of what it means to be free to make her own choices but she hates being a vampire and what it represents for her, unlike Press who loved being a vampire and embraces it. In an unexpected encounter, Lily and Press realize that they are connected in a way they never expected but once Press realizes just how much the love of his life needs him and he her he sets a plan in motion with the help of his close friends. It's a beautiful love story and of course they beat the odds. I absolutely loved it ❤️❤️

Another amazing book !

I love this series. Susan Griscom has written another book, and they just better and better. I fell in love with this series. This one is about Elvis & Lily. When she writes about how Elvis was changed, I cried. And Lily has not had it easy either. I'll just say the ending blew me away. The other characters from previous books are in this one also. But this is a story about love, hope, dreams, pain , struggles and yes hea. Susan takes you on a ride, and there are some things most authors don't write about in this book. But that is what makes her and her books so special. She takes you into the characters minds. And I know for me this series is the best I have ever read. I absolutely adore her writing style. It makes her books a must read !!!!!

This is book 4 in Griscom's Immortal Hearts of San Francisco series which follows the lives of band mates and friends of the Lost Boys. I love that this is Preston aka Elvis' love story. Seemingly a loner but fully dedicated to his "brothers" I love his protectiveness. After meeting Lily who is a seemingly shy vamp in a dive of a bar the two find their chemistry undeniable - but Lily's keeping secrets and Preston knows he wants to save her and make her his no matter the cost. Well written and wonderfully narrated. This read will captivate and delight and have you eager for more!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Preston, or Elvis, has been seeing a female vamp for a few months who always left quickly with no explanations. Her name is Lily, and she is being held captive by a really old vamp who ran drugs and prostitutes. He also held several high positions in the city of San Francisco. He also held her brother Julian a captive, selling him to others as punishment. His name is Dorian. She has to hide Preston from Dorian or he will kill him. Dorian is keeping up appearances with her at his side; he really likes the same sex. When Preston truly discovers, by accident, what is going on, he will try to rescue them but this is not so simple~ A huge surprise for the reader will give the entire story a massive twist and the ending will not go quite how you think~

Elvis has finally found love.
In this book, we have story of Preston (Elvis) and Lily. We are also introduced to Lily's brother Julian.
The story takes place in San Francisco and shows not only the Lost Boy's club but also the speedier tenderloin parts.
This book deals with some issues that might be triggers for a few and is strictly for mature audiences only.
Susan gives us regarding an just another Vampires love story, she gives us family, the sacrifices and the lengths we will all go through to protect but all also toffers save the ones we love.

This was a well-written, fun, sexy book. Lily was turned into a vampire against her will. Now she is being forced to play thew wife of a vampire with delusions of grandeur. She meets Preston Knight, a vampire and a rock star, who makes her feel things she never thought she would have the opportunity to experience. Preston knows he is in love with her, even though she has secrets. This book can be read as a standalone, though it is the fourth book in the Immortal Hearts of San Francisco series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading other books in this series as well as other books by this author.

This is a great series by Susan Griscom. Book 4 is great. At first for me I had a hard time getting into it. Maybe cause I was just coming from a MC genre to the Vampires. Not sure. So I put the book away for a couple of days and figured I would give the book another try and BOOM got sucked right in and hated putting it down. If I was able to sit and read I would have finished it in no time. I love Preston he is great. The story line is great and the characters are strong even those that are "pressured" into staying.

Elvis Is In The House!

This is the 4th standalone in this vampire series set in San Francisco. So realistic that I now believe that vampires are real. Hopefully you too have read the first 3 books in this series, each one highlighting another member of the band The Lost Boys. The author is a smart writer. I love her style. Each different enough to keep them exciting. Click and enjoy.

Exhilarating vampire story. It touches on the good vampire as well as the bad vampire. Characters are surrounded by danger, deceit and a web of secrets, through all of the chaos, they find common ground to love. Not sure if I could ever trust Dorian but Lily and Preston have great chemistry and make a great couple. I was provided a free audio version without obligation and am voluntarily reviewing. Narrator did an excellent job!

I'm a die-hard Immortals of San Francisco series by Susan Griscom I absolutely have fallen in love with each of these characters and each story is unique and refreshing this one is no different. actually I lied this one is a little bit more in-depth with the personal level it's more emotional. Here is Preston's heart lying on the table. He lets you look into the darkest depths of his soul and fall completely in love him all of him. Lily is possibly the sweetest most naive vampire I've read about. Her pureness balances Preston's wildness. The other characters we have met play small supportive roles that add a flare to what could possibly be a dark storyline.
This book contains things that must have been hard to write, yet are done so eloquently. I applaud the author for being able to write such a passionate book with grace.

Preston "Elvis" Knight and Lily Grey are the the protagonist of this new installment. This pair will take you to one of the most intense book from this series.

Preston Knight, aka Elvis, is pining for the mysterious Lily Grey. Preston's ready to take their relationship to the next level, but Lily is not prepared for many reasons. While Preston loves being a vampire and chose to become one, Lily is the opposite and doesn't love being a vampire. Even worse for Lily, she has no control over her destiny. A destiny that is overshadowed by her fake husband, Dorian Sweet, to keep her brother Julian alive. Along with the misery of pretending to be Dorian's wife, Lily also peddles heroin on the side, and eventually, to her horror, Dorian pimps her out for carnal pleasures.

Preston doesn't know why Lily won't let him take her home or why she's so secretive. Lily will only meet him briefly and usually in a bar. After Lily spends the night at the mansion, Preston falls even harder. Preston tells Lily all his secrets. Even how he became a vampire, which is not the story Gage and the others know. Lily accepts Preston but doesn't open up to him and tell him her secrets because her secrets could get Preston killed. Wanting to learn more about her and where she lives, Preston defies the sun and almost loses his life. Thanks to Ari, as always, Preston makes a full recovery.

Preston and Gage are on a guys night out when Preston meets local entrepreneur Dorian Sweet, with whom he is very well acquainted. Dorian is happy to see Preston again and briefly acknowledges their past. Preston is at a loss for words when Dorian introduces him to his wife, Lily. Preston is mostly angry but confused. When Dorian pimps Lily out to Preston for the night, Lily's got some "splainin" to do!

After Lily comes clean about Julian and her plight, Preston believes he and his bandmates can go in and strong-arm Dorian and his thugs and rescue Lily and Julian. Of course, the plan does not go as planned and leaves Lily fighting for her life, Dorian's whereabouts unknown, and a new houseguest in Jullian. Preston has something to come clean about and decides to let Gage and his bandmates in on his secret past. Gage, as Preston's best friend, is livid at the new revelations from Preston. The rest of the Lost Boys are speechless for about five seconds before Lane breaks the silence.

The mansion gains two more residents when Lily and Julian become permanent. Grayson's still on his own for now, but maybe he will eventually move in too!

Author Susan Griscom adds welcome diversity to the series making Possessed by a Vampire is a delightful read.

On my Were Scale of Hotness, 4 stars.

I was so craving a paranormal since having been reading alot of other genres that this one beckoned. With a touch of unusual to the story it makes it even more interesting. You have one that loves being one and one that doesn't so when they meet the fun begins. This centers around Preston aka Elvis and Lily. Not having read the others in this series I am still able to follow this fine but it also is a tempting factor to read those also since the writing is delightful. This has its own drama that pulls you back and forth on the emotional meter. It will give you pictures about love and family also. This author has the ability to suck you under and whisk you into this holding you captive all the way through. When you reach the ending you will be coma a bit that you get from touching reality again from the reading of a fine one.
