People who know me know I'm interested in integrated theories of consciousness, evolution, philosophy, spiritualty, mind and physics. Much of this work is laced with (or tinged with) a narrative of alien abduction or visitation. Many people who came up in a new-age, integral discipline of inquiry began to take seriously this scenario of channelling unconscious knowledge and ridiculously succinct descriptions of intuition. They swear that it's the result of being in dialogue with a visiting consciousness that arrives from other parts of our galaxy. In the case of the Ra Contact Material, Carla Rueckert underwent a long series of interviews between 1962 and 1981 (this inquiry ends in a police stand-off and a suicide. Look into it!) when, she claims, a transdimensional entity known as Ra would speak through her and answer questions about meaning and reality with total confidence and clarity. Give yourself a primer on this material and you will be at a complete loss as to how someone could orally deliver an integral philosophy with such clarity and comprehension, but in fact the entire series of interviews were recorded. That's what these two giant volumes represent. It's hundreds of pages of transcribed content that comes from a woman who swears it came from an alien. Western settler culture is afraid of terms like "spiritual illness." We may live our lives without knowingly encountering our own spirit, let alone seek to heal it. If you are the kind of person who was ever called to by Ayahuasca or accidentally had an awakening experience due to a near death event, grief or a psychedelic trip, you will find a connection with Ra and Carla. So there it is. I'm officially outing myself as someone who doesn't necessarily understand where knowledge or intuition come from. Is it possible our minds are tended gently from vast distances by beings that have transcended the 3rd dimension? Does a text like this represent a mirror? Perhaps it's easier to believe you're communing with an enlightened being as opposed to recognizing your own wisdom. Then again, maybe UFO nuts were over indulging in LSD and I've taken just enough to connect with this madness. My friends and family will one day be forced to reconcile this on my behalf because the answer to that question, from my perspective, is unimportant. For me it's about navigating our imminent relationship with the external and internal representations of the world - and it's about accepting and investigating the unfathomable number of avenues of insight that human beings have been exploring for longer than written history. If you can't turn your mind off, anyway, you'll have time in your life to think about and experiment with these teachings and ideas. When it comes to alien contact and integral theories, this is a non-batshit and almost true crimey place to begin.

In truth there is no right or wrong. There is no polarity, for all will be, as you would say, reconciled at some point in your dance through the mind/body/spirit complex which you amuse yourself by distorting in various ways at this time. This distortion is not in any case necessary. It is chosen by each of you as an alternative to understanding the complete unity of thought which binds all things. You are not speaking of similar or somewhat like entities or things. You are every thing, every being, every emotion, every event, every situation. You are unity. You are infinity. You are love/light; light/love. You are. This is the Law of One.

This book is extremely hard for me to rate. I came into it quite excited. I’ve read various other channeled works and was really thinking I would encounter something that resonated deeply with where I’m at spiritually. The disconnect for me had nothing to do with the source of the material—Ra. Rather, it was the lines of questioning posed to Ra. I was hoping to get some profound insights into The Law of One. I do not think the questioner did a poor job in his questioning, I respect his journey, his intelligence, and his free will to ask the questions he did, but I was personally hoping for something that had broader spiritual implications for my life. There were many times where I was impacted and will take away a lot from this book, but I find that I have very little understanding or insight into The Law of One. Maybe this comes in Volume 2. But the way things were going, there was no indication that the material was going to turn to more substantial matters. I love talks about the finer details and mechanics of how the universe works, but this was just so mired in the nitty gritty, that I felt the broader teaching got very little attention, at least in Volume 1. Fascinating information, thanks to all involved for the material, I was just expecting/hoping for something else.

If you like aliens, channeling, and esoteric spirituality, have I got the book for you!

Totally 70-80s too with crystals, light rays and rainbows, and chakras. If you don't like any of those things, you're probably out. Skimmed the last third of the book.

If you want to read it, don't. Instead, pick it up in a bookstore and read the glossary in the back as it sums up everything discussed in a far more succinct, comprehensible, and interesting fashion.

My summary of the most interesting idea in the book: intelligence/consciousness is an emergent product of complex systems - combine enough simple things and they, as a system, have an intelligence capable of affecting their environment. Atoms to molecules to cells to bacteria to multi-cellular life to organs to creatures to packs/tribes/societies to nests/societies/cultures. Expand this to planets, solar systems, galaxies, and universes and you have an fascinating expansion of the lower-level system we do see.

What makes this book unique from other channels is that it is a pure channel and you can really tell that, no interference.

The downside is the questions are asked by a man, which makes them very cranial, with no questions about the heart or how to live, just seeking knowledge and power like every man.

BEST CHANNELED MATERIAL I’VE READ

Volume I – There are very few channeled materials of all of those purported to be channeled (not all of which I am drawn to peruse and even of those I have read, there’s only been one other that I’ve endorsed, and even then, I don’t agree with everything that is said by this source), which have resonated as strongly with me as the Teaching of the Law of One series. Partially this is because there seems to be a balance between spirituality and science in this collection of thoughts/writings.

The group of beings that make up the so-called ‘RA Complex,’ claim to be a sixth density group of entities -- who claim to be our elder brothers, not our parents -- who collectively focus not only on spiritual teachings and development, but on scientific information as well. Love, light, compassion and the scientific truth from their perspective seem to be their highest teaching, with even more science thrown in. And much of that scientific information has so far not only turned out to be accurate (initially at a time when it was not known at all), but that which could be termed ‘prophetic’ is so spot on, it’s eerie.

If this is your first foray into the realm of the Law of One, it would be highly recommended that you make the Glossary of this Law of One series your constant companion, O Seeker, either from the book(s) or from L/L Research’s website (or both!), at www dot lawofone dot info forward slash glossary dot php. Understanding the, for instance, difference between a dimension and a density and the various terminologies utilized by RA and by the Questioner, Don Elkins who was also a physicist, will greatly help to facilitate your overall understanding of the teach/learning (that would be one term found in the Glossary) and the learn/teaching (that would be another) and which you will often encounter throughout both/all volumes. I am envious of people who found a language appropriate to explain their view about this book. It's complicated and there's always a knowing that stays with you through reading/listening to it. Sometimes it blows your mind, other times it seems outlandish, only because you realize how much there is... that we will never know, can not know. Ra makes references related to energy centers in the body, and that the entire energy field is governed by one law that's love, not as an act but as a quality, something also repeatedly mentioned in ancient hindu yoga practices from thosands of years ago. There's just too much to pick and write about in this review. If you're on a spiritual journey, or looking over the fence or just curious, this book will surely help you find some answers and give you more questions to progress in your journey.

I greet you in the love and the light of our infinite creator, Adonai. I asked the universe to give me knowledge. My intention was to become enlightened regarding some little-known information for which might benefit me in some way. To be clear, I wasn't exactly sure what I was asking for, nor did I have any real expectations. However, I was led here. To my surprise, this book answered many of the questions I had been curious about, for years! The story herein, is one of the most interesting things I have ever read, to date. If you're curious about the afterlife, aliens, UFOs, the pyramids, spirits, ghosts, big-foot, ancient civilizations, alternate dimensions, government cover-ups, the law of one, being a better person, living your best life, or just looking for a great story, you're sure to enjoy this book.

It’s a good book but it’s ALOT to take in and try to make sense of. You really have to read it slow and only a few chapters at a time to not get overwhelmed with the amount of information in it, I feel like an even more summarised version would be useful as I had to use chatgtp quite a few times to get a better understanding of what I was reading

You could take this as fiction and still be left with a beautiful interpretation of the complicated facets of the human condition including but not limited to identity, consciousness, morality, and love.

In honesty, I started reading this on a recommendation as part of the UAP kick I'd been on. A fun side read with no real intent - just me Fox Mulder LARP-ing. In the first part of the book, the Questioner/Don keeps bringing up paranormal topics, and to badly paraphrase Ra, "sure we can talk about that stuff but it's not as important compared to this big picture we want to convey".

It's hard to articulate my perspective on this but was overall worth the read. On to session 57...

This was exceptional but dificult. The words RA used were a little different then we use on a daily basis. I know RA said that our language was not sufficient to Express what needed to be told. I did understand that since the beginning of time we have been under distortion. I get it, if it was straight forward what would we learn. I guess this planet is a very special place for beings to incarnate and learn. Please read Doloris Cannons books any of them, because this is all lining up. Dr. Steven Greer is also trying to help us before it's to late, see the disclosure project.

There is some truth to this message which I can confirm through my personal experience and holy and spiritual reading. It's a simple truth that is self evident to anyone who tries to be good and do positive things.
The large majority, however, is irrelevant enticement using popular interests of sci-fi and spiritual countercultures of the time. Between the questioners interests and the frequent interjections clarifying vagueness and contradictions in answers due to difficulty of channeling and translation, it forces the caveat of proof as unimportant much more than it gives in knowledge or wisdom.

This book is not suitable for audible. And on top of that, they should have used two different people for the readings and eliminated all the irrelevant, repetitive things at the beginning and end of every chapter. I would either zone out or doze off repeatedly and had to rewind chapter after chapter trying to pay attention and listen to this. I do have the printed books which I'll read in the hopes of Grass being some of this but definitely, this is not suitable for audible.

Interesting transcript, turned book, of recordings of a woman 'possessed' by a otherworldly entity. While most may not be able to believe the basis it does contain information pertinent to those seeking a better understanding of spirituality. Because it's a transcript, it's not written in the most concise fashion and that may be a turn off for some.

There is no other book in the world I believe is more important than this book. However, it will read like mumbo jumbo to those who don't at least have a cursory understanding of mysticism or spirituality, i.e. reality. None the less, I believe every one should read this book even if you aren't ready to grasp the concepts (facts) in it.

Interesting at the very least. A valiant attempt at a unified theory of existence but the effort to present it as fact had my bs meter rocketing off the charts. I was able to take away several thoughtful philisophical nuggets that more closely aligned with my own observations which made the read worthwhile to me. Sadly, none of them included crystals or lesser banishing rituals.
