I wish Holding Haley was out now because I want more of this series. I'm so happy I found this series because I'm really enjoying it. Taming Alex was just as good as Loving Lauren, if not better. This is another friends to lovers story. Grant and Alex grew up together, Alex the wild child and Grant the goodie to shoes. Grant has had it bad for Alex since at the age of seven they shared their first kiss. After going away to college, Grant is back and ready to win Alex over. These two were so sweet and cute together, I couldn't get enough. I can't wait for Haley's book.

This is definitely the most mild stuff I've read in a while but I am loving the cowgirls just the same. I can't wait for Holding Haley to see how this all wraps up. Thanks Ms.Jill for the sexy cowgirls and their yummy cowboys.

If you like a steamy romance then this one is for you! Great characters, including spirited farm animals with tons of spunk, and a good plot will keep you entertained while the sex and sexual innuendo will keep your blood pressure up. While this wasn't my favorite book by this author it was still a good book and helped continue the story from the first book in the series. I am interested to see where the author goes in the next book in the series as the featured characters are each unique and well developed.

I am really liking this series. After book one I was looking for a little bit more depth and I am happy to say I got it in book two. I loved Alex and Grant together.
I was not a huge fan of Alex in the first book. She came off selfish and immature. She quickly redeemed herself and I was pulling for her this entire story. She found her own way, let herself be deserving of true love and letting go of her past.
Grant, oh my goodness, he was every woman's dream. In love with Alex since their first kiss at 7. He has changed from a chubby, glasses wearing boy into a strong, healthy and handsome man. He came back home to start his life over. The big city was not for him. One night he runs into Alex and knows immediately that he needs her. Shes was always special and he now was determined to show her just how much. He needs to prove to her that she is the only woman for him.
Along the way there were a few bumps, a little drama and mystery, and a whole lot of love. These two are special together and leave you with a nice love story. I liked that we got to see how Lauren and Chase are doing too. Now all that is left is Haley...

Dopo la responsabile e matura Lauren, ora è il turno della storia dedicata alla ribelle e sfrontata Alex… e incredibilmente, mi è piaciuta ancor di più del primo capitolo della serie! Dico “incredibilmente” perché nel capitolo precedente il personaggio di Alex non mi aveva colpito positivamente, in generale l’avevo trovata decisamente “too much”, mentre la sua futura dolce metà, il riflessivo e silenzioso Grant, aveva già fatto breccia nel mio cuore. Nonostante le premesse, i due come coppia mi hanno appassionata, fatta ridere, commossa e l’autrice è riuscita a dare una profondità al personaggio di Alex che ha ribaltato il mio giudizio inizialmente negativo! Alex ha una fama di ribelle, e fin da adolescente si è cacciata nei guai, finendo poi con il fidanzarsi con il classico “bad boy” dedito all’alcool, superficiale e (inutile dirlo) ben poco fedele. In realtà la ragazza, rimasta orfana in giovane età, cerca semplicemente qualcuno da amare, vuole una persona che si prenda cura di lei, che non la lasci mai sola, e per questo è disponibile a sopportare ogni cosa, anche un ragazzo palesemente sbagliato.
In una sera apparentemente come tante altre, in cui il suo ragazzo per l’ennesima volta la delude, si ritrova a vagare sola in piena notte per strada… quale momento migliore per l’ingresso del nostro eroe? Grant è cresciuto con Alex, ma non ha mai pensato di avere speranze con quella bella ragazza così gentile perfino con lui, il ragazzo nerd, cicciotto, occhialuto e introverso. Ora che è tornato, non aspetta altro che un’occasione, e il destino ci metterà lo zampino per portarli a un happy ending! Inutile dire che ora Grant è molto cambiato nell’aspetto, ha vissuto esperienze dure lontano da casa, ma il suo cuore gentile è rimasto lo stesso; i suoi occhi sono in grado, oggi come allora, di vedere oltre la corazza di Alex, fino alla sua anima ferita e in cerca di amore! Se Alex inizialmente tenta di giustificare l’infuocata passione tra loro come una distrazione dalla rottura del fidanzamento o un’amicizia con benefici, le è in realtà chiaro fin dall’inizio che è molto più di questo!
Tuttavia nella strada della felicità e della sincerità, molti sono gli ostacoli, a cominciare da un misterioso attentatore ( e credetemi, i sospetti sono molti, ma la rivelazione finale vi sconvolgerà!) per finire con le insicurezze della stessa Alex; lei per tutta la vita non si è mai sentita “abbastanza” e il modo in cui Grant l’adora, la rispetta e si prende cura di lei, la lascia con un desiderio insopprimibile di averne di più e la paura folle che tutto possa svanire… ma il vero amore, sbocciato tanti anni prima, resiste ad ogni ostacolo! Non mancano ovviamente i personaggi che abbiamo conosciuto ed amato nel volume precedente, ed è stato bellissimo poter vedere anche la storia d’amore tra Lauren e Chase crescere e raggiungere un altro importante traguardo! Non vedo l’ora di leggere il prossimo volume della serie, dedicato alla dolce Haley e al suo antico amore, che l’ha abbandonata per entrare nientemeno che nell’esercito…e che ora è tornato a riprendersi il suo cuore! A quanto pare gli amori giovanili che si realizzano dopo anni, sono uno schema ricorrente in questa serie…uno schema che io adoro!

Alex and Grant story was beautifully written. This story had me smiling from beginning to end, who knew their story began with one innocent kiss as young kids. These West sister are remarkable and can’t wait to read Haley next.

A Dream Come True!!!
Grant Holton has always had a crush on Alexis "Alex" West since a tender age, she was the first girl he ever kissed and vice versa.
Grant went away to law school while Alex stayed in Texas, worked at the local diner, helped her sister Lauren around the ranch and started dating bad boy Travis Nolan. The latter proposed to Alex which didn't sit well with her sisters, Lauren and Haley but when Alex found out about her sister Lauren's marriage to Chase Graham.....things were a little tense for awhile between the sisters. Lauren advised Alex not to settle for anything nor anyone less than she deserves.
Travis Nolan has let Alex down so many times and she always forgave him but him getting drunk on her birthday was the beginning of the end for them.....the last straw was when she found out that he was kissing Savannah Douglas.
Grant was there for Alex when she was hit with the most devastating night of her life...Grant suffered the loss of a great friend he met while he was in Harvard and that lead him to come home. Alex and Grant have been each other's pillars. They grew closer and fell in love in spite of outside forces trying to keep them apart and Alex's misconception about her not being good enough for Grant.
A must read, the way Alex's love realization came about was beautifully done...She realized it has always been Grant for her.

Alex has always been the wildest of her three sisters. She blames herself, just as her older sister did, for her mom dying. Even though she's wild, she has never been one to slip out on work though, in fact she started working at the dinner as soon she could and started giving half her paycheck to help pay for bills after her father dies when she was 17.

Grant is back in town and can't believe his eyes when he sees Alex walking home alone. He's been in love with her since he was seven years old when he was the overweight kid with glasses that everyone picked on, everyone but Alex. Now tone and HOT can he get up the nerve to make his move or will Travis put a stop to him?
This book had some mystery to it when things start happening to both Alex and Grant. I did figure out who it was before the reveal but it wasn't who I thought it was going to be at first. This was another great book by Jill Sanders and while it can be read as a stand alone, I suggest reading Loving Lauren first. I also highly recommend her Pride series! It's one of my favorites!

I really enjoy this new series from Jill Sanders, this one must be her best one yet!! We readers were introduced to these three sisters in book one, this story was about the second oldest sister Alex. After losing their mother Lauren took on care of her 2 other sisters, now young ladies. Alex was fun wild child, who is engaged to the town bad-boy.
Grant comes back into town and buys a small farm out to prove he is back to stay. When things finally brake for the relationship between Travis and Alex, Grant tries to convince Alex there is nothing wrong with staying happy with a good guy. Grant is very swoon worthy! Well written!!

Rating 3.75 (Yes I have decided to start rating on a quarter scale)
Of the series that I have read, Taming Alex was my favorite because I always seem to empathize with the 'bad' girl. This is probably because I was generally always the good girl and secretly had a wild streak that I oppressed. Someday this will probably cost me a fortune in therapy. Also, I love girl names that double as boy names (completely unrelated but this is my review). Anyways, Taming Alex has a little mystery, proves nice guys don't always finish last, and really does have a strong female lead. Alex may not be as independent as her sister Lauren, but she comes around.

as soon as i finished Loving Lauren and loved it, i thought i had to read the 2nd one and i wasn't disappointed, i loved this story and how Alex and Grant's story comes together, not the usual alpha male i liked but its a nice change from the usual alpha males i read. Grant was alpha in his own way and so sweet and his love for Alex was just beautiful and their characters suits well, i truly enjoyed reading this book, now I'm reading Holding Haley as i had to read her story now or i won't settle lol.. and i had to say i love it so far. :) *goes back to reading Holding Haley*

This series is becoming 1 of my favorites!! This story was heartwarming & exciting. I thought I had it all figured out, but it took me until 3/4 of the way through to realize I was wrong!!! Therefore, it was well written in my opinion as it kept you on the edge of your seat & wasn't overly obvious as to the "who done it" aspect of the book.
I loved the relationship between Alex & Grant. The story made you want to fight for their relationship until the bitter end. I really enjoyed this exciting love story!

Travis is a bad boy and Alexis is his wild girl friend. After two years together she finds out he has been cheating on her for a while. Grant is a preppy goodie guy from high school. When he comes back home he finds Alexis and when she breaks up with Travis he figures its his turn. He persues Alexis but she feels even though she really likes Grant that she isn't good enough for him. Then when things start to happen, which puts her in danger Grant is there for her. Nice story. It's hard to believe but true Alex's story is even better. I dare you not to fall in love with Grant...he is just too yummy for words!! The West girls continue to struggle with losing their mother too early in their lives...each having their own emotional hurts and unwarrented guilt over it. Dealing with that, learning to free themselves of that guilt helps each to find their own true love like the love their parents shared can be difficult to say the least!! Now for little Haley's Story!!

Taming Alex is the second book in the West Series by Jill Sanders. This standalone book had a solid storyline with tons of twist and turns that it had me hooked from beginning to end. The characters had lots of depth, emotion and chemistry that you couldn't help but fall in love with all the characters. Grant & Alex were a fabulous couple that you were rooting for them to find their happily ever after. Looking forward to more books by this fabulous author.

This is book 2 in the series and follows the story of Alex and Grant.
The suspense in the story always leaves you second guessing. That mixed with the beautiful romance elements made this an addictive and enjoyable read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, but this one was of a higher standard that the first book. If the series continues to improve, this may turn out to be one of my more enjoyable series.

Once my book reloaded, I was able to read the entire book instead of 2 pages. Haley & Grant's story is wonderful. Love that Lauren and Chase had some parts in this book. I hope Haley's story comes out soon

Good read
This one is as good as the first and maybe a tiny bit better. Alex is as stubborn, sexy and smart as her sister Lauren. Grant is smart, funny, sexy and a hunk. There is a bit more mystery to overcome and the culprit is a real shocker at the end. Highly recommend.
This one is as good as the first and maybe a tiny bit better. Alex is as stubborn, sexy and smart as her sister Lauren. Grant is smart, funny, sexy and a hunk. There is a bit more mystery to overcome and the culprit is a real shocker at the end. Highly recommend.

Loved Taming Alex! Alex is sassy and smart and thank god she got rid of her stupid ex! Grant is such a hot cowboy/Lawer and he's such a great fit for Alex...again love the suspense in these books, it keeps me hooked till the end, trying to find out who did it lol such great reads xx

I have fallen in love with this series... there's so much I could say about it, but I don't think I could do it enough justice... so all I can say is read it and you won't be disappointed... I can't wait for the third book!!

A great romance! loved it and a great second one in the series!! I totally didn't see travis's mother being the one doing everything!! totally came as a shock, which was nice! it was fun to have a book were I still didn't even have the correct inkling until it happened.

This was better than the first. I really loved the story of Alex and Grant and I'm thinking the 3rd book of Haley and Wes will be even better.

I enjoyed this book. Alex may seem wild, but she is dependable and loving more than you know. Her outward spunk is just he wonderful personality showing through.
