Love this! Classic Eric Carle illustrations with fun, unusual words/vocabulary. Will use as a great early "reader" with the 4 year old grandboy--he can point and "read." Perfect for preschoolers.
I loved this one! It is such a fun and unique vocabulary book for young readers. I especially liked how the groupings of vocab words were organized: i.e. "Things to See/Feel/Do/etc.)
I really like this book that has lots of color and the color is not just the one basic color. I like the way how they color as like collage. And I also think that this will be one of the fun material for kids 1-3 years old with learning what they can see out side of there house with all the nature and all of the stuff around them : out side nature, inside material, shapes, food, numbers, patterns, color, etc… and especially for children, it is important for us to help them have fun with learning with let them get families with what they are doing. With me as one of the people who is learning to become a teacher for little kid in special ed, it is also easy for them to give impact with something new with all of the fun colors not just plain basic colors. They also have page about fun things you can d with friends and in the end of the book they have trial page like, showing all of the stuff in the book to let them try how many things they got to learn and tell. I think it I really fun to talk about with your child/student after you read threw all of the book.
Bright colourful book full of pictures and words to share and talk about. The book is divided into 5 sections: Things You See; Things You Eat; Things You Learn; Colourful Things; and Things About You. Most of the words are "things" but some are concepts such as feelings or actions. Each double-page spread has a large illustration linked to the topic with several relevant illustrations (with words) on the opposite page. Children familiar with Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" will have great fun spotting it!
This book is such a treasure trove of Eric Carle’s iconic artwork! Over 200 illustrations paired with words, categorized in 5 subjects: Things You Eat, Things You See, Things You Learn, Colorful Things, and Things About You. Elliot recognized a lot of the illustrations from the many Eric Carle books we’ve recently checked out from the library. It’s a great way to introduce vocabulary through the colorful and fun world of Eric Carle. This is a library copy, but I definitely want to add it to Elliot’s personal library soon!
*Read-aloud to Elliot at 1.5 years old * library book

5 stars from my 15 month old baby who chooses this book Every. Single. Time. Good combination of familiar things he sees often and totally random things! We have the bilingual English-French version which I really recommend.
A book packed full of different concepts each illustrated with iconic Eric Carle artwork. The kind of book the is nostalgic for parents and grandparents.
Is there anything better than Eric Carle’s bright and colorful illustrations? This book brings them all together in one place with some new ones as well.
An easy preschool read where every two page spread lists a topic and then pictures and words of objects in the Eric Carle universe that match said things
Read in French - L’imagier eric Carle mes 200 premiers mots. Good for practicing words and the pictures are lovely. The kids weren’t all that into it though.
Fantastic imagery with different groups on each page. Bud enjoyed the pages about colour, pointing out the bee in particular. Good for learning early words for animals, objects and colours. We would take this out again for reinforcing/ developing language.
