This book contains much very interesting information about a wide range of Australian animals. However, to me, the pictures look like they are aimed at very young children but the text uses many words that those children would find challenging even if someone was reading the book to them. Older children for whom the text is appropriate may think the book looks too young for them. Or is it aimed at a limited market of highly-intelligent very young kids?

I’m trying to learn more about the wildlife of Australia. This was a cute children’s book using the letters of the alphabet to name some of the critters.
