Aidy Award is a curvy girl who kind of has a thing for stormtroopers. She’s also the author of the popular Curvy Love series and the Dragons Love Curves series. She writes curvy girl erotic romance, about real love, and dirty fun, with happy ever afters because every woman deserves great sex and even better romance, no matter her size, shape, or what the scale says.
Fantastic read! I couldn't put it down. The characters are captivating yet still have room to grow into themselves. The storyline is well woven and anything but predictable. Just when you think you know what's what... boom, surprise! Ky and Jada will win your heart just as they won mine.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance with humor. I don't recommend reading it in public. Unless you don't mind people looking at you like your crazy, when you involuntarily start laughing so hard you sides hurt. I also recommend you read this series in order. You don't have to as they all stand alone just fine, but you get a more from them in sequence.
Cons: Um.. don't read while baking. I almost burned my cookies. Otherwise, nope, nada, can't think of any.
I'm off to read the next book in this series. Thank goodness they are all available on Kindle Unlimited. 🙂
This is Aidy's third book in the Dragons Love Curves Series. One would think that you would tire of reading about Dragonshifters. This is definitely not the case. This is another amazing story with a lot of humor, suspense and action. This story is about Dragonshifter, Ky and Jada who is a succubus. Who knew that these two opposites would end up with each other. Ky knew the moment he saw Jada that she was his true mate. Jada not so much. The sexual chemistry between them is off the charts, but at first Jada in not on board with all the true mate scenario.
For a succubus, Jada lacks confidence and does not realize or accept the power that she possesses. Ky has no doubt in her abilities and is relentless in his pursuit to claim her as his own. He guides her to a place where he knows they both should be together as true mates. I love the character development between these two and Aidy shines in this area.
I love opposites attract stories, and Aidy does not disappoint. I cannot wait until the next installment of this remarkable series.
This is Bite Me, of the Dragons Love Curves series written by Aidy Award. I’m not sure how Aidy is able to do it, but each book gets steamier and steamier! I really love how once the dragons find their true mate, there is no other female for them! Commitment is hot, right?! I’m looking forward to the rest of the dragons finding their own mates and watching them kick and scream the whole way. There are also a few secrets that have yet to be revealed. Do yourself a favor and start at the beginning! Toodles!
MY RATING 5 stars--WOW 4 stars--would read again 3 stars--was good 2 stars--didn't enjoy 1 star--didn't finish
Should I read books before this one: yes Cliffhanger: the black dragon arc continues
SUMMARY Half demon Jada uses donuts to try to meet her needs for blood and sex. Her father, Leon, incubus king, “Jada, why do you waste your time on these human treats when there are so many delicious humans to be our treats?” She can no longer justify killing in order to live, leaves the coven, even though that means leaving Portia. Demon dragons appear, the White Witch saves her, then puts a necklace on her. An energy more powerful than sex and blood zipped through her, changing her from the inside out. She wakes in a room not her own with coffee and donuts and a note, Always be yourself, unless you can be a dragon, then be a dragon.
Ky swims to an emergency AllWyr meeting. He feels a pull to cross the Atlantic to America. African mermaids ask for help fighting demon dragons and getting Azynsa back. He discovers the demon dragons now have gills and can swim. He tries to fight them in the caldera, has to run back to the water before he's dead, too. He'll get help and return. Ky takes a frozen demon dragon with gills with him to Amsterdam, where Cage lives. Being frozen should've killed it. Maybe they're evolving. Ky figures out these attacks have to do with mates. Ky learns Cage is dying, a succubus got his soul shard. Ky tells them Azynsa has been kidnapped, she's a dragon's mate. Match and Jakob will rescue her, Ky can track Cage's soul shard.
Jada has gone a whole week without blood or sex. Bavarian creams are helping. The witch Ninsy who owns the donut shop thinks Jada is her new employee. Ninsy doesn't tempt Jada. The first time Jada works the morning shift is temptation city with so many customers. After the rush, she wishes there were a Vampires Anonymous so she wouldn't eat herself into size 107 jeans. She'll come up with her own 12 steps. She raises her hand, speaking to the remaining donuts, Hi, I'm Jada, and I'm a succubus. Someone says Hi Jada. She turns around. He's hawt. His necklace glows a blue she recognizes, he stumbles. Her necklace from the White Witch glows. “I want the soul shard you took from Cage Gylden.”
EVALUATION I loved the inclusion of some Maori language and the haka. I wish there had been cultural Czech things in the first books. I grew up on rhubarb, so loved its battle uses. I think this story is the best one so far.
RECOMMENDATION Adults who've read at least Unmask Me
FAVORITE QUOTES “I know kung fu.” More like kung food.
[throwing donuts at demon dragons] Raised glazed were not her favorite anyway. Pulling out the tray of snickerdoodle cake donuts with cream cheese glaze was harder. She took a bite of one and then flung the rest. The only thing left to defend herself was strawberry-rhubarb cream cheese Danishes. She tossed two at the demon dragon. It snatched both out of the air with its teeth and swallowed them without chewing. Then it stood up straight, its eyes went wide, and it exploded.
The lust in his dark blue eyes hit her like the iceberg that hit the Titanic.
She was his own personal Viagra-athon.
“You have to be who you were meant to be. I'm not talking about what destiny says or fate. But who you know you are inside. We all wear a façade of what we think the world wants to see from us, but the more you hide what you truly are, the more miserable you will be.”
POSSIBLE TRIGGERS (SPOILERS) Sex: multiple scenes Language: 93 f***, 24 Lord's name in vain, 45 s*** Violence: fantastical battles, stabbing
Ky and Jada are a grand pair. The blue Wyvern and his succubus mate must learn to trust each other to be together. She tries to deny her demon half, satisfying her darker appetite with copious amounts of sugar vice the blood and sensual delights she really needs. But her mate will see her well-fed, his loving touch a balm to the soul she only just realized she had.
Battling demon dragons while trying to woo one's newly discovered mate is a hard job, but Ky is up to the task. Even if it does almost get him killed a few times. With his friends at his back, he will go to war and he will win the battle. Betrayal will sting Jada, a dear friend committing a heinous crime for which there can be no forgiveness. And twas all for naught, the promised reward a ruse by the baddies of the moment. Great characters aplenty, the Wyvern brothers and the new mates are integral in the battle against the Black Dragon and his horde of demon spawn. The First Dragon and the White Witch put in their cameos, setting the lovers in place to find each other and giving them TMI moments that will surely leave scars on their brains. Wicked good action, in and out of the boudoir, hot loving and great battles that kept the pages turning. Another great addition to the series, introducing new sets of lovers who have to find their way to their mates. Kicking and screaming if this one is any indication. I'm looking forward to more from this series and this author.
I listened to and read this one. The narrators did a great job! I love listening to a male - female pairing, each person bringing life to the characters for me in a way AI just can't. The author wrote a wonderful story but I really wish the editing was better. Fingers crossed for better going forward.
I’ve read book two, and really enjoyed it, and I wanted to know how the rest of the dragon’s find a mate (need to go read book one) so here goes ......
Jada is half human half succubus, but as the years rolls by, Jada is sick of taking a life every time she needs energy. So she escapes the cove she’s in and begins to look for a new way of life, but if she doesn’t find protection fast, then she’s a dead succubus (they can’t survive very long on their own, they work better as a team for the coven) But Jada is attacked by dragons and thinks that this is the end ......
Ky Puru is a love them and leave them type of dragon, fun with mermaids is more his style. No commitment for him thanks. Ky is summoned to assist Cage (the leader of their dragon clan) and when he gets there, he’s shocked at the sight of his family, Cage looks like he’s dying, he’s lost the dragon shard that hangs round his neck (it’s a part of his heart mixed with the heart of the first dragon) it was stolen, and unless he gets it back, he’s going to die.
So what does the future hold for this couple? Ky and Jada need to trust one another, they need to work out how their enemy is evolving. They need to find out more about each other, Ky has to help his brothers find and restore Cage’s shard. And there is a half human and half mermaid they need to rescue too.
It’s a fun read and I really enjoyed it. Ky and Jada are great together, and some really laugh out loud moments too 😉
Mixed feelings on this one. I was excited for Ky's story, then I found out the h would be a succubus so I was really pumped for that. However, it kind of let me down. Just a little.
Jada (h) lacked confidence (which can be nice to watch the h of a story find her confidence and in this case it was), was trying to find her way in the world, trying to search for her "more" in life. But at the same time, it broke my heart how so many secrets were kept from her. Jada really was clueless as to what all was going on with her coven and her history. Her half-human succubus sister, Portia (who has her own story later on in the series) was the polar opposite of Jada. It appears Portia was allowed in on many secrets, she was allowed to fight, she was strong and fierce, etc. I really want to hate Portia, but lo and behold her story just happens to be the one story I was most excited for. Ugh.
Anyway, overall it was hard to follow the love portion of this story. The lack of interest and trust was disheartening. I was kind of hoping this book would be darker, deeper, more intense.
Side note: Leonard, the coven father, was amazing in this book! Much love to Leon. I know he wouldn't ever get his own book, you know the whole no mate thing, but I really want more of him!
A couple of twists bring more excitement to this series
Ky is a sexy blue water dragon who is searching for Cage's missing soul shard. All he knows is that it was stolen by a succubus. Then he stumbles upon Jada. Jada is half human/half succubus. She ran from her coven because she didn't want that life. She decides to use sugar as a substitute for the sexual energy and blood that she needs to live. Portia, one of her sisters, find her to tell her that the demon dragons are after her. It is attracted to her from the beginning. His soul shard starts glowing brighter as he gets closer to her. A friend of the white witch comes in a also warns them of the demons. But it's too late the demons are there and so is the black dragon. Jada's coven arrives and helps to fight as Ky tales Jada to safety. There is quite a bit of emotional struggling in this story as well as physical fighting. A couple of twists make this book more exciting. There is new information that will lead to more dragon mates and more books. I recommend this book but you should start at the beginning of the series to know what is happening.
Ky (mmc, leader of Blue Dragons) Jada (mfc, half Succubus)
Ky is sent to retrieve Cage's stolen soul shard. He thinks Jada took it, but she doesn't have it. The demon dragons are coming for her though which means she's important. His mate, actually. There was so much battling in this book it is hard to put down. So much information comes out that it's hard to write a review without spoilers for this book and others. Keeping a running list of characters helps.
Other Characters Jakob (Leader of Green Dragons) Ciara (mate of Jakob) Steele (2nd in command of Green Dragons) Fleur (mate of Steele, part flower nymph)
Match (leader of Red Dragons, Alpha) Cage (leader of Gold Dragons) Dax (Red Dragon) The First Dragon and The White Witch The Black Dragon / Kur-Jara Hag-The Black witch The Rouge Black -Jett Leon (King of Incubus and Succubus) Portia Fallyn Azynsa
This is Aidy's third book in the Dragons Love Curves Series. One would think that you would tire of reading about Dragonshifters. This is definitely not the case. I love opposites attract stories, and Aidy does not disappoint. I cannot wait until the next installment of this remarkable series.
Jada is a succubus who is trying to get away from her coven. Ky is a dragon shifter who is trying to recover Cage's soul shard that was stolen. When Ky turns up at the bakery where Jada is working he is determined to get information about the soul shard by any means necessary. Imagine his surprise when his soul shard lights up in Jada's presence. How can his true mate be a thief. These two will go to hell and back on their journey to love.
I love this series. The characters are fun and you just never know what two paranormals will turn out to be true mates. The dragon shifters are all beyond sexy and the curvy women they fall for are strong and independent (maybe more than they even realize). Love that the previous couples all play prominently in each new book as well. This is a fun, easy read.
Yeah, another well written curvy girls and dragon book. In this one, Ky the blue water dragon finds his mate in the half demon, half human Jada. As with the other dragons finding their mates, Ky and Jada's road to HEA is bumpy and twisty. We learn a bit more about not only the Wyverns, but also the Black Dragon, the White Witch, the First Dragon and the bad witches in Hell. It is fun reading about the different dragons and their elements that they use and about their interactions with their partners and others. This is a very cute and interesting world that Aidy has created and I look forward to reading a lot more about it and solving more of the mysteries.
I received an ARC of this book and the opinions expressed above are my own and are freely given without the promise of compensation.
I was so disappointed in this book. As a kiwi, I have been looking forward to Ky’s story almost from the start and this disappointed me on so many levels. First of all his mate is a succumbs, so she’s spent hundreds of years killing men with sex and drinking their blood but we overlook that, doesn’t matter at all apparently, because she doesn’t like her nature. Then the author starts using the C word in this book, it always makes me cringe when authors do this but I see no reason she now does but die t in the others.
The hints laid in the other books are answered here, we find out more about the Black Dragon and are introduced to his on and daughter, but it seems the really thought provoking hints are missing from this book.
On to Cage’s story which I hope is better than this one and lives up to the start of the series.
I'd probably rate it lower then the first...I didn't really care for this one because none of this crap is making any sense to me first off I guess I need to freshen up on my paranormal info because I never knew Incubas drank blood I thought they fed off sexual energy??? I also thought I was starting to begin to understand the mates for the dragons I thought each one was born from a human mother and a dragon father but Jada's mother was a dragon but Jada didn't get the ability to shift like Fleur..so what's the deal what makes her so different?? I don't know why but this book just didn't work for me like the last one OH well I will read the next one hope for better.
OMG! This is fabulous! Jada and Ky have such a journey on the road to their true HEA; there's passion, self-doubt, love, passion, acceptance, misunderstanding, mistrust, passion, understanding, forgiveness...and did I mention smokin' hot, melt my Kindle PASSION?!! The opportunity to get to know these two with glimpses of Jada's backstory and Ky's Maori heritage is a much-appreciated bonus. Then, there are the equally well-imagined battles and danger, with regular shifts from ally to foe and back that keep the reader hooked. This story also seems to contribute the most tidbits toward the overriding storyline arc of this series. There are several syntax issues but not sufficient to distract from the fine storytelling. I can't wait to get to Cage's story!
I had a little bit of a shaky start with this book. I’m not a fan of other-partner drama, so watching our heroine getting up close and personal with someone that wasn’t our hero, didn’t quite work for me. I think it was an important look into who Jada is, but it left me feeling distinctly uncomfortable. Ky pretty much walked up and stole my heart from the moment we saw him on the page. I loved that watching this pair was a lesson in learning to trust and being open to another person. It’s a powerful teaching that I think most of us don’t do so well at. The story also brings us more information about the Black Dragon and some hints of what his end game may be. I’m very curious to see where the author will take this next.
The plot takes itself a little bit too seriously and contrasts the humorous tone of the text. The characters are pretty one-dimensional, and it’s an insta-love fated mates situation. MMC is Kiwi as hell, FMC loves sweets and hates being half-demon. They meet, they climb each other immediately, some plot separates them for awhile, they reunite, HEA. It’s a junk food romance novel if ever I’ve read one.
I went into this book not realizing it was #3 in a series (it happens) but it was pretty obvious that I missed something when the characters from books 1 and 2 appeared and played a significant role in the plot whilst being sickeningly lovey-dovey all over the place. Sometimes I really do wish authors would find a way to let go of their favorites after the story has been told.
I'm really not into vampires or also known as succubus. That's a wee bit too far fetched. Shifting on the other hand for some reason seems believable. A lot of shifting stories are just a boy meets girl with the mention of shifting. Ms. Award has a magical way with words for she makes you feel like you're right there while these dragons shift. I want one! The first two in the series, I loved how she was creative with the swearing. This one, I really didn't like all the g.d.ing. I'd rather see the F one instead. Otherwise it's a REALLY good read. No cheating or cliffhanger and you get the beginning of a happy ever after as well as a glimpse on which dragon is next. Enjoy 🤓
ONE INCREDIBLE READ!!! Talk about the past coming back to bite you. This is one exciting, fast paced, action packed, hard hitting, heart pounding, pulse racing, nailbiting, page turning delight that's as riveting as it is captivating. All the drama, uncertainty, fear, danger and suspense increases while tension spirals as the plot thickens. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances that make for one thrilling experience. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this little gem together beautifully. Aidy did an amazing job bringing to life. Fantastic job Aidy, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
It’s a long series but each book so far has been an easy read. With book 3 the number of characters continues to increase. Some haven’t been given names yet, and some have multiple names; I can foresee it getting convoluted if the author isn’t careful.
Each book is about one couple but advances the through plot of the series - the big conflict. The details and history of the conflict is being revealed to the main characters at the same time as the reader.
This book centers around the alpha blue dragon and his mate. It introduces another group of supernaturals into this world. They may or may not have a role in the final conclusion.
🌶🌶🌶🌶 Fantasy Paranormal Second Chance BBW Fated Mates Shifter
I really enjoy how each book reveals another layer into the overall story and that all the past dragons & mates are featured as a part of the next mated couples story. I absolutely loved that Ky performed the Haka during the story and that his fellow blues did at the end.
I felt a connection with Jada from the beginning with trying to suppress her darker part of her soul. I think we all struggle with similar insecurities when faced with if we are worthy or not. Also, the need for sugar as a source I'd comfort really struck home for me.
I came upon this author due to the attending author list for those being in Indy this coming August. I mostly enjoyed this series. I've already read them all. Just catching up on reviews lol. It did get extremely annoying that it's brought up that the MFC are bigger. It's seems like it's brought up every chapter. If it wasn't on repeat I'd have given these books a easy 5 star. For this book I Ky and Jada. Past events made it hard for Ky to accept his bond with Jada, and it was fun watching him cave and being proved wrong about Jada. I'm glad they was able to get past their disagreements. Spice level for this book is probably 3/4 of a pepper.
I kinda love Jada! I feel her with the donuts. Lol. But she spoke to me. She was going through some tough times and didn’t realize how strong she really was until she had to step up. I love stories like that. Plus a hot water dragon as a mate! Ky is awesome! Is it wrong that I’m kinda picturing him as a cross between Jason Momoa & Manu Bennett. I love that he’s of Maori descent and it’s such a big part of his life. And I love the Mami Wata or whatever the African mermaids are called! Can’t wait to read the next book!
I admit that I mistakenly read this series out of order having seen a teaser for Baby Me that interested me but found I needed to read Cage Me first. I read Cage Me, then Baby Me and then went back to read from book one.
This book was my favorite of the series. I really enjoyed the characters and their interactions, This book also had more action and more "Heat" in more ways than one. If you have read the first two books in this series you will definitely enjoy this one.
I look forward to continuing this series to see where it goes.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "BITE ME" This was an exciting, interesting, entertaining, intriguing, fantasy, mystery, action, battles and some some sizzling hot steam. Kai and Jada are soul mates that are meant to be together they come together in this adventure fighting demon dragons and it was great to have some of the other mated dragons along. This was a book I would definitely recommend as well as the series it's an enjoyable read read with terrific characters who doesn't love hot as sin sexy alpha dragons.
Ky the dragon meets Jada the witch. I've never read anything by this author; yet now I really want to!!! LoL. That's the fun in discovering a new world inside someone else's mind. This was definitely fun (I did laugh out loud!), sexy (hey we've got dragons!) and interspersed with adventure! I now have more books on my wish list! (Like I really need more!!) I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys PNR! Purely worth your reading time.
A fun adventurous dragon romance. A succubus that doesn’t want sex or to drink blood. So instead she eats lots and lots of pastries, especially donuts. She may have 99 problems but her curves aren’t one of them. Throw in a dragon who definitely likes her curves and has all sorts of plans for them and you have a lot of hot and steam. But a visit by a demon from hell who wants her may just ruin the fun.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
I am loving this series! I love that Jada a is a succubus with issues. The story has a good plot and the characters are interesting, but there are parts of the text that are bogged down with details. It doesn't detract from the story itself, but I get distracted easily so in the middle I really had to focus. The fight scenes and the sensual scenes were vividly described and I like the way the series is developing.
