Based on the podcast of the same name, this is a book to help you change your life and accomplish your goals. There is some new information in this book that makes it worthwhile to read if you feel stuck.

While there are snippets of decent advice here, especially towards the end of the book, I was actually appalled by some of the recommendations. No, pushing yourself to misery to achieve a goal is NOT a way to live! Your kids want a loving parent, not an angry, miserable cash-cow.

Overall I just got the impression that the author was far too young, and far too male, to give decent advice for 99% of the population.

I received this book as an advanced reader's copy due to our love for inspirational self-help books and this book was unlike any others we have read or that we have in our collection. This book focused on change and focusing on the power it has in a positive way and resist the negative thinking that change is bad. The old saying goes whatever is not right, you need to do something to fix it and sometimes a change of ways, pace, and environment is the key of resolving many problems and this book did a excellent job reflecting that. This book will be of interest to our patrons in our collection, which is why we are giving it 5 stars!

Its been awhile since I listened to Tiny leaps big changes. So I hope I remember it right. I listened to it at least twice. I listened to it once and then thought oh, I better take notes so I can put the tips to use.

One of the things that Gregg said that stuck with me was about finding your passion. In fact I am reading I mean listening to a book called The passion paradox by Brad Stulberg. He might have even quoted from that book.

So the thing that stuck with me is that you can't find your passion because finding your passion would take to much time. So what you want to do is get good at something. And getting good at that thing will give you passion for it. I thought that makes sense.

Then that made me think I have got to get good at something. Just pick something and get good at it as fast as I can.

There is lots of other solid information in Tiny Leaps Big changes but, finding you passion is what stuck with me.

And another thing I think that Gregg said was that you don't have to do something for hours at a day. You can do it for five minutes if that is all the time you have for it. I am not sure if I have that right.

If you want to make a change in your life I think you might enjoy reading or listening to tiny leaps big changes.

I have to confess I normally read these self-help books, yawn, shrug, and move onto the next book without it having much impact on me. That didn't happen with this book. This is one of those I'll reread throughout the year, but perhaps not from beginning to end without interruption. Instead, it's one I'll reread in sections--a kind of refresher.

Unlike a lot of self-help books, this one looks at life's realities and offers common sense approaches. The chapters are short but filled with good counsel you can easily implement, and you can do those implementations in ways that make the most sense to you. This isn't one of those books that overly structure the reader into a rigid system. I enjoyed the book so much I subscribed to the podcast, but that's probably for another arena.

There's one line that says it all - paraphrasing here but essentially he asks if you want change in your life, why are you reading ANOTHER book, even this one. Gets to that critical issue of what does it take to truly make change in your life, to take that first meaningful step. As Nike says Just Do It. Great slogan ever.

He also speaks about distractions - the productive, action oriented ones that seem to serve your purpose but truly don't.

A very positive approach to making life changes that will impact you and those around you.

I won a copy of this book during a Goodreads giveaway. I am under no obligation to leave a review or rating and do so voluntarily. So that others may also enjoy this book, I am paying it forward by donating it to my local library.

I really liked this book. A lot I already knew and some things may of been repetitive in chapters but it was great to read.

I liked how he had stories to relate to, to give examples and it really makes you dig deep and think more clearly. I feel we all need to do that from time to time. I highly recommend.

This book feels like a summary of a bunch of other books I've read, which can be good or bad depending on what you want. It you're new to personal development books this can be a good introduction. If you've already read a bunch of personal development books this will be more of the same, though it certainly doesn't hurt to read good advice multiple times.

This was an easy and quick book to read. It had lots of good ideas and strategies on how to change the way you get things done. I liked the concept of make your goals little so you can not fail and gradually they become habits. As you build each small habit you gain momentum and it’s easier to add other small habits one st a time. It was a motivating book and it had helpful ideas.

Skip about 90% of the self-help industry with this book. Tiny Leaps is an immensely practical primer into becoming the best version of yourself, with all the unnecessary motivational fluff that seems standard in the personal development industry.

It was fine - just wish there were advice books for people whose jobs are somewhere between Glengarry Glen Ross and artistic genius.

This is a good introductory book or a good reminder book. The book didn't include new information or aha moments for me, but was good as a refresher on goal setting and making some positive changes.

Let me start by saying that I don't typically read books in the self-help genre. I usually find them to be a little condescending, and a lot of talk, but not actionable. Tiny Leaps is not that!!

It is to-the-point advice on how to both understand why we behave certain ways, and how to change that behavior. I especially resonated with the section about motivation. You hear far too often how to find your motivation, but Gregg argues that sometimes, you just have to get to work, motivated or not. Each section also includes a tiny leap challenge, a small actionable item to try out to change your behavior. Instead of being given the typical empty pep talk, you'll learn about the psychology behind your habits and behavior. Because that is the point--the only way we will actually change our lives is to be honest about what we are doing and choose to change.
