One of the best educational books I've ever read. Tons of good examples to drive the point home. Make sure to use this as a workbook because that is what it is. Once you're done with this book you'll have a solid understanding of how the shell works and what you can do with it.
Note of caution: A newer version of this book will be released in September 2021 so you may want to wait for a while before you order it. It's from a different set of authors, though.
Edit 2022: Re-read the book due to my new role. Still great in 2022! A newer version (which focuses on PS 7.0 has still not been released as of yet).

Fantastic introduction to PowerShell, useful examples and clear labs.
