I hate the new generation. I really thought this was going to focus on the Founders, no one else. I don't like that it added new characters from the new generation. This makes me want to stop reading the series. Every single new generation charracter is the same. So Smart, so strong, so brave, such great leadership ect, ect. Oh and don't forgot how they always fall in love in a matter of minutes and always get the guy/girl, because you know, who doesn't have the perfect luck right?! Like make them different for love of God. I wanted so much more from Book 60. I was so disappointed. Bella is so far off from the orginal books, it makes me want to give up on the series. I feel like I put so much time and energy into this series, I mean, I have read 60 of the books if that tells you anything, and I was still holding out hope that THIS was going to be the one that made me fall in love with The Shade all over again. And it didn't. The chapters were mostly of the new generation's POV. They added a new character that we met a few times in the last season and she has her own POV, not sure why. I still don't understand why Bella is so focused on the newer people. I didn't like how we have these random people like Lenny and the other one (I forgot her name). Why? If this was about the Founders, why didn't they get their own chapters? They had a few and that was it. I don't care that Lenny has feelings for Nevis. I don't care the other one has a crush on her best friend. Like I do not care. Let's get back to Derik and Sofia. And another thing that annoyed me so much was every time one of the great kids were speaking of their grandparents it was always "grandma Claudia, Grandpa Derik", ect. Like we know who your grandparents are, we don't need a reminder every other paragraph. It was very redunit. I am just so disappointed that I spent this much time and energy into a series to give it up after 60 books. There is nothing orginal about The Shade anymore. It's the same story line over and over again just with different characters.
I used to read these books in a matter of days, now it takes me weeks to get thru it. Sorry to say but I have to give up The Shade books.

Love this series, but the first half of this book was mind-numbing. It was all the characters talking about how awesome the other characters are and how good their lives are. Once the action started, it was better. I really wish some of these couples would have real issues or cheat on each other or have polyamorous relationships. I do give the author credit for Ben and River having some problems, but damn. Relationships, even for supernaturals, are difficult and not all “puppies and butterflies.”

It was hard to finish this one. I just couldn't connect with it. I don't know what it was missing but it usually takes me no more than a week to finish a book and that's with taking breaks but this took me 3 MONTHS!

This is the start of a new season and even though we have the original cast members back in the storyline, it wasn’t enough for me. I am greedy and wanted it all to be about the original characters. LOL But seriously, this was a fantastic storyline and a great start to this season of Bella’s latest story, and I think we get a hint of new love interests. But those interests may need some help. The adventure that Derek and Sofia and the rest of the originals go on sounds so fun and romantic but actually turns out to be an adventure. I won’t give any more away. You will just have to get the book and find out for yourself.
It is a great beginning to a great adventure. Can’t wait for book 61. It’s a must-read.

The GASP Elders.

Once again the Shade has everyone spinning.
Thinking it would be good the send the Elders on a vacation was going to be a great event.
The kids and grandkids stuck off work to another dimension and plant to create the perfect vacation spot. Searching and researching the plant, the kids desided to build a resort on a perfect and beautiful plant. Little did they know secrets are hiding.
Thinking all was safe the GASP kids unravel the surprise the the Elders.
Plans and vacation happen.
Derek the head of GASP finds trouble while exploring the plant. Will the kids see the trouble in time . Will Derek and the rest of the vacation group escape? Find out here. It will keep you guessing.

I was really excited for Bella’s books to focus a little more on the original characters, with some newer ones as well. The book started off very relaxed and positive but by the end became her trademark style full of mysteries, exploring and adventure and of course new romance that characters are refusing to accept. I am not sure how after 60 books she continues to surprise and keep her readers on their feet but she does! I can’t wait for the next one.

Exciting new season ahead.

Coming back to the original shadians and adding in a few of the newer generation is amazing. It brings back some of the favorites from pass books and puts them on a new adventure that keeps you hooked. This new set of heros live up to the mission they are in and they will not leave without the founders. The founders won't go down without a fight and this season will take us on another crazy ride that only the Shadians can handle and thrive in.

Only one complaint

I started ASOV series early this year and have gone through all of th seasons to here. They have been great reads. My only complaint is that unnecessary curse words have been injected in these which seems to be increasing. Possibly the world standard doesn't see it as a problem but the language isn't necessarily and to me is a disappointment. Maybe if more people spoke up those words wouldn't be included in future seasons.

Ha now there’s a twist

Everything has a beginning. Sometimes the only way to find the answers is to go back, hmm. What’s the cliche “Even the mighty must fall”. Let’s see how the shadians handle this new twist.

I think it’s amazing how the author continues to find species and places to write about. It’s truly amazing. Love reading all the adventures and oh so many more!!!!!!!

Book 60 is another winner by Bella Forrest

Setting up a vacation for your grandparents and their friends is hard enough for mortals but add supernatural into the equation and surprise to boot...well makes it even more difficult. But losing them with no trace is scary. Rescue mission to try and figure what happened makes for more details to be exploited.

The perfect getaway

What is supposed to be a perfect and secluded getaway is for the most part until Derek stumbles across something might have been better left alone. Now the founders vacation turns out to be a nightmare leaving them trapped and with no answers. A rescue team is sent but they might be in over their heads with this unknown foe.

Thrilling and engaging fun!

Swept away in this ongoing adventure. An excellent read for anyone 13-99. Love how all the new adventures include all the characters so you don’t forget about them. No strong language or sexual situations, but still sexy. Would recommend to anyone!
