I must say that this series is getting more thrilling with each book. I really enjoyed reading more about Roo and Cash, although I did miss Marc in this one, as he only appeared briefly at the end. His character is my favorite. In any case, the story is good and it's quite well-written. I think all fantasy fans will love it. It's a great series in the making.
Roo is going to register at Australian Ludus. Soon she will go through her trials and then take part in the 'game.' Also she must uncover her father's plan and save the gods from his evil schemes. For that she needs help, however, she seems to be having trust issues. She has no idea whom she can trust anymore. And that mistrust might turn out to be fatal...
Cash is trying everything in his power to protect Roo. She isn't making it easy though and he has no idea how to deal with her. He keeps telling her to trust him and just wait a little while until Marc returns... everything will be fine once the 'gamekeeper' returns. But she is not listening to him and he fears that he may not be able to keep her alive for long....
It's very thrilling read. We see some new characters as well, which are as good as all the other characters from previous two books. Each one is unique in its own way and quite entertaining. I loved it!
P.S. I received a complimentary copy of this book for which I'd love to thank the author.

Game On

This book was constantly keeping you on your toes with the new characters, alliances (who to trust), the Others, the Game, and the question of whether Roo and Cash would finally give in to their frustrations. I loved Marc and his personality and jokes. I cracked up quite a bit on his one-liners. I love how Roo remained herself, even after finding out who she really was and fighting to be who she is now and not who she was back then. The spice was just right for the wait but definitely leaves you wanting more in the next book. I enjoyed the little novella between the two with Marc and Cash POV and would’ve loved to have more than just Roo’s POV, but overall it was great and leads up to Book 3 with not really a cliffhanger, but a plan of action to take out the darkness.

Oh Marc 😢 I'm not sure if you're in love with her, on top of being her friend, or you're just sad and lonely because she didn't rely on you and your friendship more (because she wants to spend time with Cash more than enyone else)...
I'd like to read his POV more, but seems like everyrhing is from Roo's POV 😑

Poor old Roo is having a hard time coming to terms with everything. Understandably, since she's not just a witch, she's a god.
And her father has plans for her that she knows she won't like.
Read in one sitting.

Amazing fantasy. Roo spends most of her life hiding. Felt as if I should jump in and help. Loved this book as it was fast paced and intriguing, impossible to put down

Book 3 in this series and yes you need to start at the beginning of the series. This isn't a standalone.
written from Roo's POV it really centers on her search for self. She constantly struggles with being told what to do all of the time but it helps trigger who she is not just who she is supposed to be.

As usual the book gets bogged down by the amount of descriptions given. It is a necessary evil because the world created is complicated and very detailed.
Still a great book.
