When Beatrice takes on a new case, she must solve it before anyone else rests in pieces.

Beatrice and her new husband, Wyatt, have started their life together.  Their first big event as man and wife is another wedding: that of Beatrice’s daughter. It’s a happy occasion and a beautiful ceremony—aside from the appearance of the odd and uninvited Ophelia. Ophelia argues with another guest, who is later discovered dead.

Beatrice must piece together the truth before the killer strikes again.

I have received this book for free for an honest review.

Rest in Pieces by Elizabeth Spann Craig is southern cozy at its best!
Eventhough this is the ninth installment in the series, and my first book to read, it is very easy to get a hang of it.
All characters are properly introduced, both old and new ones, and all are as charming and as quirky as only southerners can be.
Piper and Ash are getting married, and although the reception is lovely, Pearl and Ophelia have a dispute and harsh words are said.
Next day both women are dead! Is it possible that there is a serial killer in Dappled Hills?
Of course Beatrice was at the scene of the crime and Meadow is forcing her to take action and investigate as it will take Ramsay forever since he has to do everything by the book.
I found the fact that police chief enjoys reading more than crime solving very refreshing. Descriptions of small town life are very charming and I have also learnt quite a lot about quilting.
Story is well told with a clever plot snd intelligent dialogue.
I have enjoyed this book immensely and I am eagerly awaiting next one.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY thought I had this one figured out......I got part of it right but then that twist at the end ....man I never saw that coming..... I love these ladies in Dappled Hills.....they take my mind off life for a while and I can escape to their world. That is the best part of reading.......

Light mystery

I have been reading the series and find it has enough variety to keep me guessing.
I gave it 4 star because it is a light mystery along the lines of Agatha Christy. I am not usually a mystery fan as I don’t like to be scared. But this is more of a puzzel to solve and I can even enjoy it at bedtime.

This and that

This time I found our main character rude many times in her comments to Meadow and in her questions to suspicious characters. It's as if she considers herself an authority to ask questions and be as blunt as she wanted. Time to move on to other books!

Cozy mysteries are just the perfect thing to relax with. As per usual, this is a great addition to the series.

Loved it. It wasn't my favorite. I felt I had read this one before... but I still really liked it. Moving onto the next in the series :-)

EASY READ

Good read. Easy. I wasn't sure who was guilty until author revealed it. Not very on the edge of your seat crime fiction but good.

Very home-y

I think it was a little difficult to jump in at book 9. Although this was a fine stand alone book, I think I would enjoy knowing the background of the characters, setting etc. However, I do believe that that may be my own quirkiness. I did like the details of the characters. I may need to go back to book 1!
I won this book on a goodreads.com giveaway.

I am a cozy reader and this is one of my favorite series. Elizabeth's characters are so on track with my life, a little older sleuth, who has a dog and is a quilter, so very me. I enjoy these books so much. These have become mostly ebooks, and I had bought an ereader just for that fact and I am so glad I did! Great twists and turns in the plot, I can usually figure out the bad guy, but not usually these. But they are just fun.
