How can Poppy, her hellhounds, and her judges defend it? It doesn’t help when one of her judges goes missing while she sleeps. When they fall under attack Poppy must choose between fighting, staying safe, and searching for her missing man.

Don’t miss the final book in the Cerberus trilogy!
USA Today bestselling author Helen Scott spends her time alternating between fantasy and reality. She likes to think she’d be sorted into Hufflepuff and would have been a Physical Kid from Brakebills. Her days are fueled by tea and cuddles from her four-legged kids and amazing husband in their home in the Chicago suburbs.
When not reading or writing, Helen can be found baking, enjoying a walk in the woods, crafting, or playing video games. She’s a lover of sushi and K-Dramas and is convinced there is magic in the world if you know where to look.
Whether paranormal or contemporary, Helen loves writing sassy, kick-butt heroines and drool-worthy love interests. She's the author of the House of Wolves and Magic series, the Cerberus series, and the Of Demons and Dragons series.
Safe to say this series was a dud for me. It's disappointing too because the plot it there, it's just not explored enough and honestly that's probably because the author could not stop adding mates for the heroine. Including herself there are now 8 of them in a relationship! This too could have worked with a few hundred more pages and a few more books in the series. In the end I'm still lost on most of her men and the book was so filled with sex it overshadowed everything else. I was bummed too because this book picked up right where the last ended as the group headed to the Underworld so she could claim her throne. I mean it's the Underworld how do you not explore the shit out of that and come out with a crazy @$$ story???!?!?! OK series for me but just lacking in a bunch of ways sadly.
Poppy and her men finally made it to the Underworld. But with two different enemies trying to steal her throne, and the gods doubting her at every turn, will she be able to finally take the throne she's had to fight so hard for?
The first half was the book was sooooo boring . I was honestly tempted to DNF it. But I'm glad I pushed through. Once they went towards the castle things started to pick up and turn really good! I about jumped with joy when Poppy finally kicked Hel and Alpha's ass!
We also got to see more of the mythological aspect of the series, which was so cool! I loved seeing Tartarus.
One thing I didn't like about the series in general, was that there was definitely an obvious favorite. It felt like there wasn't a page without Knox's name being mentioned. Whether Poppy was actually talking to him, her comparing the other guys to him, or Knox being described as knowing her every need without her even knowing it while the others don't. Like, it's not fair to the other guys. Especially since Nolan and Derek were my favorites, who were barely got to see grggghh.
I fell in love with this series from the very first book! Sometimes I find myself disappointed at the end, but this was the PERFECT ending and final book. I can’t even pick a favorite between the men, I love them all! I’m sad that it’s over, but it was such an awesome ride!
The ending of this series was great. I loved how we finally got to see the Underworld. All the guys in this series are great and this book was smoking hot!
While I enjoyed this series this installment and final book of the series couldn't hold my attention. There was a ton of drama and action so that wasn't the issue. I think the issue was I felt like we were taken on so many side roads just for filler that wasn't really necessarily for the over all book. I would have rather seen them work through getting Poppy to the Underworld and her battle to become Queen and then focus on life after... how everyone coexisted and worked together after and how she dealt with everyone and learned about her environment. I still feel like you need to read this book to get the entire story.
My favorite Male was Knox HANDS DOWN. Then Em came second. We did meet them first so the book allowed us to know them better then any other male characters so maybe that is why... but I just adore how Knox was so in tune with what Poppy needed. He knew when she was sleeping and awake. He knew when she just needed some cuddling and it was very touching.
Once again: There is group sex with multiple males and one female. No MM or hints of MM. All Males are attracted to the one main character. There is an understanding that they share and while everyone wants her attention there isnt a fighting or jealousy.
2.75 'we almost got it' stars for the whole trilogy***
I wrote a review of these books but don't know why it isn't reflecting 2days later😟🤦🏽♀️
so the first book was definitely a page turner.. I love everything, especially the fact that the author is very descriptive and the plot was exciting.. 2nd book... mmm, not so much, and same goes for book 3. this being a reverse harem, there are 7 males for Poppy.. I felt like the judges were neglected.. I found myself hating Hunter cause I found I couldn't forgive him for what he did. I also felt like Nolan was neglected despite being the 4th head of the hound.. gosh, i also felt like Cass(is there a dude called Cass? one of the judges) was neglected too. yep, it takes a real mythical gifted creature to juggle 7 men and keep it all equal🤨🤷🏽♀️
outside of the 'romance' , the plot is quite entertaining. alot is going on in the 3rd book as they try to help Poppy claim the thrown.
my number 1 complaint--where the hell was the epilogue???? the book suddenly ends. yes, she is now queen, but what else???What happens? how is her reign? what are her interactions with the dwellers of the Underworld? that ending was very...lacking, for lack of a better word...
The cover drew me in and I did not research beforehand, so I found myself reading the last book in a series. I was not so bothered by it because I was able to understand what was going on, it would have been nice to read the previous books first but I did well anyway. Helen Scott knew what she was doing, or that's what I think because the story begins with action and continues to be action packed until the end. There is not one dull moment in this book and I can say that, even though I needed more info at some points, I enjoy the book very much. Poppy, as a character struck me as a genuine person, that cares about the people she loves and cares about fairness. I don't know much about how she came to be in the situation she was in, but I enjoyed her reactions, her choices and the way she carried herself as a Queen later. Her guys made curious enough that I'm going back to read book 1 and book 2 in this series. I would recommend this book and Helen Scott as an author. It was my first book by her but I could see her talent and I can hardly wait to see what more she has in storage for us in the future. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I skimmed large parts of this book. I just didnt really care about the characters one way or another towards the end. Instead of a long diatribe about what I didnt like, I'm just going to rate it and leave it.
Poppy has her hell hounds & her judges, can she finally claim the throne?
In the final book of the Cerberus trilogy, Poppy is on her way to claim the throne of the underworld. But can she get there before Hella & her army? Or before the humans that want to claim it for themselves?
Queen of the Underworld: A Reverse Harem Romance (Cerberus Book 3) By: Helen Scott Great Balance Between Drama & Se*y Times!! Wow! I was totally sucked right into this story from page 1, & the pull kept me there clear through until the END. D@mn, Helen Scott can really write!! "Queen of the Underworld (Cerberus Book 3)" has a great balance between drama & Se*y times... You definitely don't feel cheated by what's offered inside this installment. In fact, you'll only feel a sense of loss that this is the conclusion to the Series & we won't be getting any MORE from this Saga... it's just that GOOD!! I LOVE the mix of action, adventures, challenges, drama, & of course the amazing HOT Se*y Times between the dynamic Harem that has been so skillfully balanced in this series; it makes such a riveting tale that'll keep you coming back to reread this series over & OVER Again... I was gifted an ARC of Helen Scott's "Queen of the Underworld: A Reverse Harem Romance (Cerberus Book 3)" via Booksprout. Since starting this series, I've been reading all new books by Helen, & I'm finding her a talented writer with an amazing gift for storytelling. I'm gladly recommending this book, as well as the whole series, based upon its own merits. I'll look forward to more opportunities to read Helen's work in the future; I'd especially welcome MORE from this series as I'm excited to see what's happening next with these characters & the World Helen's created... I don't want to let go yet! All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given. Until next time... Happy Reading!
There is a lot of plot in here and I kept looking at the length of the book thinking "There is NO WAY Scott can wrap this up in the allotted time" BUT SHE DOES. Impressed, really, I am.
In book two I really wanted more Hunter AND YUSSSSSSSS. Hunter sitting in a chair reading an ancient book is just the hottest thing. Hotter than any of the sex scenes (obvs, I am biased as an ace person, BUT STILL).
I absolutely loved Achilles. He's such an asshole. It's perfect.
Also, if you've read my other reviews, THIS LINE: "any straight woman." The fact that the author has made her language more queer friendly means So Much To Me. I can tell that the author is actively educated herself on social issues. It absolutely comes through in the text, even if it's "just romance" and that's not what the story is about. I am so here for authors growing with each book.
On That Note I do have a critique. Cin should be a lesbian. The Furies have SUCH Big Lesbian Energy. There being dude Furies is a Tragedy.
Back to good things: "looking like some kind of experiment gone wrong from the Island of Dr. Moreau." This slayed me. It's one of my fav books and seeing it referenced here just Made My Day.
Hypnos hating Humans felt verra verra relatable.
The author has clearly done her mythology research and it shows.
ALSO ALSO ALSO here is a gem from Knox: "as he walked toward the bed, I couldn't help bu admire his ass," which I BELIEVE gives credence to my comment that I believe Knox and Emmett have been "tupping on the side." HONESTLY if my fanfics didn't turn into aggressively chaotic messes, I would write a short fanfic scene of Knox and Emmett, because they would be so cute together.
Also convinced Cass is mostly a twink, outside of Poppy. He seems so sad that Derek doesn't want to flirt with him.
ANYWAY. Scott does a good job balancing the smexy times with the plot. There is a lot going on, but it all fits together at the end. It has a satisfying conclusion, but I absolutely want more. I'll have to find Hera's Gift when I have an income again and give it a read and then continue on checking out more of Scott's work. What a fun and smexy romp that was.
I read this on recommendation from one of my Goodreads friends. Thanks for the recommendation. Firstly the author has a very vivid imagination and it runs through the three books with a lot of the romance part. If you are offended with lots of sex thrown in with multiple committed partners then the story isn’t for you. However, it was interesting, the premise that the future queen of the underworld is found after finding a pendant in a thrift shop by her hellhounds captures your imagination very quickly as well as the ensuing stories. The author throws in characters from Greek myths as well as Norse ones and of course because it’s the 21st century, there’s a smattering of human involvement as there’s a race for the throne. I liked the main characters, they were quite well rounded, especially as they were all in love with Poppy but it didn’t seem to cause any problems and it could have been developed further. I think the same goes for the stories themselves as I wanted more detail about the ‘quest’ and the occupants and different parts of the underworld. Overall together the three stories make a good read, individually they seem quite short so I’m glad I read them following each other.
I’m disappointed and it hurts me to say it, but this series did not end up as I thought it would be. Book 1 was okey and at book 2 it started going downhill but this book actually surprised me, I was 70% into the book and the main part about taking the throne was not happening yet at all. And the FMC actually pissed me off more than I thought possible, one of her guys goes missing and she panic but in the next minute she all over in sexual need again with another of her guys, and when one of them try to talk to her about something she compleatly overreacts something that again causes problem, and the last fight seemed so rushed, like in the two previous books they were struggling, but now in the last fight it was over so fast and the Winn came so easy. On top of that I felt like some parts were not necessary at all, Poppy being half succubus just seems out of place since she didn’t use that side of her for anything so it seems like it was only there to be there. And I’m also sitting with more questions than anything now that I’m done.
That being said I still love the author and will read more of her books since I love most of them, I just think that this specific series wasn’t for me sadly enough
-- SPOILERS BELOW -- I was pretty pleased overall with the conclusion of the series: I enjoyed the battles with the baddies and how they were ultimately felt with. My problem has to do with Hunter's betrayal. I'm not over it and did not feel it was dealt with sufficiently. At a minimum, I think if we had a chapter from his perspective showing what happened and how he felt when he went to see Katherine I would be ok and would have been able to move on. As it was done, I wasn't convinced or satisfied with the resolution. This was a missed opportunity for me. As far as the relationship development with the rest of the characters, any less and I would have been disappointed but I did want a bit more. Maybe moments when they were travelling to get to know them better? Whem "weeks passed" was referenced I was a bitnshcoked because it didn't feel that way. But, minor complaint there. Good series overall, but for my personal feelings about the Hunter situation, possibly not a reread.
Wow. This series has taken me through it all. I cannot believe it has finally come to an end, but I am also thankful because I was dying to know the rest of the story. The beginning was a little slow paced but filled with action. The ending left me grinning and smiling just as big as the smile on the grinch. Amazing books, amazing journey. Series worth reading for sure. This book was great. The best thing about how this book turned out is that it also introduced so many other characters that it has left open ideas for novels for these other amazing characters...example: the mysterious chambers of Nyx and the possibility of awakening some darkness. That was very intriguing and would be awesome to read as a standalone novel. This book does not disappoint. A must read.

This is my 1st read and review for this author and I didn’t realise that it’s book 3 no wonder I wanted to know more and I thought that some things were missing silly me, but this is an amazing story and now I need to get the first two books. This is the story of Poppy who is half human and half succubus and her men the judges and the hell hounds who are protecting Poppy and helping her take her rightful place on the throne in the Underworld. There’s action, danger, love, some pretty hot scenes and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. I really enjoyed reading this story it’s a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This just wasn’t done well. There was a lot of filler and I just ended up skipping entire pages at about 70%. I just wanted to get through it. What was most unfortunate was how little talking the H did with her men. They hardly knew each other but all fell in love? Give me a break! And therefore, as the reader we didn’t know them either. The author tries here and there to give the men some background story but other than emmett, it was all so fleeting and such an afterthought. I couldn’t connect to these characters at all. The worst was the Judges. They got the least attention and I could barely tell them apart.
How great is it to read a series through and be totally satisfied with the whole thing? Well this is one of those series. I have been invested since book one, and book three does not disappoint. Queen of the Underworld is a well written story filled with a well told story and memorable characters. Not to mention filled with characters that have chemistry, twists and turns, action, suspense and a new found love of greek mythology. Give Poppy and her guys a try, you will be loving this series as much i have!!
This was a perfect ending to a wonderful series full of action and steam. I loved the way the author balanced out the personal trials of Poppy in her final stages to take over the Underworld and the battles of her four men. I couldn't have imagined a better finale to a series that grabbed me from the start and kept me enthralled for all three books. This series also enriched my love of Greek Mythology and has a completely unique story to tell in that genre.
I love reverse harem romances as a women who would not love a group of men who’s soul job is to make you happy and keep you pleased. I love the details of each of the men and the different situations they face. I really enjoyed reading the battle scenes they where so well written. Such a fabulous read which is so worth it.

An exciting and hot reverse harem series. This is the third and final book. Lots of fighting and some very hot scenes. Poppy starts to finally understand all of her powers. And she really starts to take charge and become the queen she needs to be. The men grow as well and the relationships start to change. A very action packed series. Highly suggest for anyone that likes paranormal romance that heats up.
This book was a bit of a letdown after reading the first 2 books. I loved books 1 and 2 but this fell flat. It was boring at times. It didn't focus enough on the right stuff and ended up feeling like a lot of filler. I'm left wanting more.
I did enjoy the series overall and I absolutely love the characters and their relationships. I also really liked how much mythology was included. That was really fun.
This ending had lots of fighting. Even though Poppy isnt really a fighter in the physical sense she was just clever enough to claim her throne. Im happy Hunter came around even though he considered leaving the group for his former lover/ almost queen. Im also glad there wasnt a 7 on 1 scene, sucubus or not, that is a lot. I also feel like poppy was physically more involved with Knox and her hellhound than her judges. But overall I liked the story.

Drama, intrigue, action and emotion!...this book had it all! Poppy enters the underworld to claim her throne; first she must defeat the human group and the goddess Hel.I don’t want to give any spoilers but the action scenes during the process of trying to claim the throne are explosive and I will most definitely be looking for more books by this author. Unfortunately this is this particular series though.

What an amazing conclusion to this series! Poppy and her men finally make it to the Underworld but so does Alpha and Hel and her agents. Poppy must stay alive and figure out how to claim the throne. She comes across several individuals from Greek mythology along the way and several gods. I love how the author infuses the story with Greek mythology. Sad to see this series end but can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next
OhMyGosh. I loved the finale. This book has so many feels, but progresses at its own pace. I was left with a few unanswered questions (though they were not pertinent to the plot or anything) regarding the Hall of Nightmares. My world building scrutiny aside, Poppy was everything she could be and more; she was real and had you cheering for her. Great job, Helen!
Poppy and her hounds and her judges finally make it to the underworld. While still fighting to get to the throne first, the 8 of them have to get through agents of Hel and agents of Alpha too. Through trials and conflict, Poppy finally finds her strength to take the throne. Great story and strong characters. Can't wait to read more from this author.
I enjoyed this book it is book 3 in the Cerberus series. It is a hard to put down book I enjoyed the twists and turns. The story line is good as well as the characters.Read books 1 and 2 also you won't regret it.
