Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.

The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.

At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.

But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.

Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.

Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).

After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.

Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.

She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.

That was beautiful ending. And it gave somewhat closure. Might wait a while to start the seventh book. I’m happy with a fairytale ending for now.

:( unfortunately this installment left me feeling a little underwhelmed... but I bought the final six books, so obviously it wasn't bad. this series remains very fun and quick paced with a large cast of fun characters etc etc. I like this series.
Abbbbbsolutely adored the parts with Aidan omgggg. Wowzers (<- #1 vampire fan NA) and the parts with Alwyn too-- so scary! I really liked the setting for most of this book. There were only really three places LOL. This one felt much shorter than the others for some reason.
I really appreciate that we're six books into this series and the main couple hasn't had sex yet.. I am not a prude but I have become sick of reading smut after smut, it's nice to read something that has romance and sexual tension without. A graphic and gratuitous scene every other chapter. I'm such a clean romance girlie that this series has me in a death grip I'm so forreal. The whole "I wanna do this the right way..." reminds me a lot of edward/bella from twilight 😭😭😭😭 and the love triangle I have an inkling is forming a little bit (or maybe just in my head bc i adore aidan. sorry) is sooooo funny like wowww a wolf shifter and a vampire, this hasn't been done before ever in books everrrr. I say that as if I'm not eating it up SO BADLY. I feel like a love triangle isn't forming and I'm delusional and I'm way more okay with that though JDKSLGU3GUJFKDL like I kinda WANNA be wrong... anyways...

SPOILERS..
Alwyn's death soooo anticlimactic. So was Tanya's death and instant resurrection. HOWEVER. For the former I feel like that execution was the point-- all this lead-up, for it to be over quickly. The dark wizard vanquished. I cannot imagine how awful Kat must feel over it. I was so so so convinced when Alwyn grabbed Dylan in his claws that Dylan was DEADDDD DEAD FOR REAL and that Aidan would be there to pick up Kat's pieces SORRRRYYYYY. Tanya's death was INSANEEEE THOUGH I actually gasped out loud, and felt afraid to continue reading, but forged on... and was not disappointed when Cassiel resurrected her, really, I'm glad she's alive, but it felt insanely easy. Like are we gonna talk about how he was just... um... able to do that... Anyways I liked it but also think it was poorly handled.
MICHAEL SWEEEEEEEEP cheered every time he was mentioned or was there. Michael Petra Lavinia sweep, the gang is just collecting ancient wise powerful beings teetering on deity-hood left and right and I could not be more pleased. Absolutely adore all of them.
OH ALSO edit: sucks about Rose. But I'm pleased that I was able to read into the foreshadowing in the previous books that she wasn't genuine, at least at the beginning. I'd forgotten to add this in my initial review because of how little I cared about Rose. Sorry!

I'm kind of unsure where this series is gonna go now in its remaining half. They won the fight, what was it all for? The notion of the nation they now get to build? Sorry Hamilton is stuck in my head. Ummm anyways 3.5 it was an okay book. anxious in both good and bad ways to start the next one because of it.

I love all W J MAY books and have read most of them. The characters are all interesting and I find I really care what happens to them as well as being amazed at the wonderful beings they turn into. These series once started are hard to put down and there is a sense of loss when they finish.
Please don't stop writing!

Okay, so I thought this book ended the series. Yeah, I know. Considering that there are 12 and this is the 6th, but the ending was so pretty. lol However, the May did it again with a cliffhanger. I wasn't so sure if I wanted to read the next book because one part of Kat's journey is over but I'm glad I did.

I LOVED THIS SERIES! My ONLY critique is that I wish she hadn't mentioned twinkling eyes so much my. I read this book and series very quickly many of them in one sitting, and found myself dreaming of it's characters, yelling at them or for them, laughing, crying, I just got complete caught up on each book.

That has been a 5 book build up for a 5 minute battle. I can't tell you how shocked and disappointed I was for the final pages, literally saying outloud "Was that it?" There are more books in the series but have decided I need to read something else to cleanse the pallet as if not I'd be going into the 7th book with incredibly low expectations.

I’ve not enjoyed a series like this for such a long time. These characters are very addictive. With so many different paranormals it’s non stop action. Fantastic performance from Zac.

Ohhhh not you Rose!!

The villain wasn't villainey enough for me. LOL. The final fight scene..anticlimactic. All characters and more since the beginning came to fight, no fight details. Disappointing.

But I couldn't put it down, very entertaining.

And yet another great book in this series! I'm glad this is not the last one. I wonder what kind of adventure the gang will get into next :)
