Akira Amano is the author and mangaka of the shonen manga Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Amano began in 1998 with a job at Weekly Young Magazine. She also held a job at Shueisha Publishing Co, Ltd. In 2002, Amano participated in a contest for aspiring mangaka and was one of the lucky winners, with her comic Monkey Business published in Young Magazine. In 2004, she finally found success with the humourous and classy manga Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (or, for short, just Reborn!), and that thanks to her readers' support. This new manga was advertised more and more in Shonen Jump and became a hit. Two years later, her manga was made into an anime series by Artland studios.
Her ideas for Reborn!: Amano had some crazy ideas to entertain readers with. She came up with weird characters to add spice to the humour, a story written especially to be unique, and fast-paced action.

Reborn!, Vol. 5 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (34–42) of the on-going manga series.
Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada meets a young boy named Fūta who ranks people by their abilities. These skills attract several gangs, resulting in Tsuna saving him and becoming friends. One day, Dino organizes a snowball competition with Tsuna and all his friends. However, they all lose consciousness after using all their strength.
Later, Reborn decides to train Takeshi Yamamoto, who thinks that the Mafia is just a game, and is given a baseball bat that transforms into a sword when swung. Another day, Ryōhei Sasagawa has a fight against a gang that causes problems in a dojo, but they are defeated by I-pin who becomes a teenager by way of Lambo's bazooka. Lambo also turns into a teenager, whom Kyōko Sasagawa's friend tries to have a date with, but Lambo still retains his childish behavior.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Akira Amano. It continues the daily life of Tsunayoshi Sawada and the antics caused by his infant home tutor, Reborn, who is training him to become the Tenth Generation Boss of the Vongola Famiglia. This tankōbon collects many stories and situations that fleshes out the characters already introduced. It also introduces another character in Fūta – a savant in information collection, who Tsuna makes quick friends with.
All in all, Reborn!, Vol. 5 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.
another entertaining filler volume. starting to question how good the earlier volumes ase since a lot of the main characters have had fairly minimal character growth which is starting to get irritating. also the filler stories are largely disconnected and do not seem to add to much to the story. the new characters this time around were interesting but from what i remember do not really serve much of a purpose in the long run. overall another decent volume for filler but has yet to start on any proper arcs or show character growth. hopefully the series starts to get less filler and more story soon
Reborn gets funnier and funnier. Easily featured the best snow ball episode in ANY anime/manga. The plot twists were just great (especially the Poison-Cow Chinese Cuisine team).
Yamamoto was shown as a swordsman for the first time and it really fits his character well (best assassin potential per Reborn).
Futa is also a great addition to the gang. Sorry, but I can't really take it off my mind that the local dub of Reborn changed his name to Kuuta so as not to sound as a curse word. I find his ranking ability very original and it was played around several times very creatively.
I also like the episodes featuring (adult) Lambo and Hana as well as Ryohei and (adult) I-pin. Talk about love that defies time :-D (I haven't noticed the latter in the anime though). Lastly, the Zoo episode was a better Valentine's day episode than Valentine's Day (which I coincidentally read on Feb 14). It looks like Amano is leaning towards Tsuna-Kyoko instead of Tsuna-Haru...
Wow. Ngga kerasa udah buku kelima lagi yang kubaca :D Ternyata aku menikmati seri ini sampai sejauh ini ya! :D It's very good!
This vol was just ok. Some more randomness occurs in this. My favorite part was when Dino appears and everyone has a snowball fight. Though that fight can hardly be called a snowball fight! Idk how Tsuna puts up with all these crazy people! They would have driven me insane by now! Lol
I also seriously wonder when and if Yamamoto will ever realize that all these fun 'games' aren't what he thinks!
Also a new character appeared here. Though, I found him a bit annoying and irrelevant, imho.
Anyways, like I said. This vol was just ok. Hope, the plot line moves along soon.
This volume manages to be a new level in the comedy (My personal favorite being a Valentine's chapter that manages to have fun with all the concepts usually found in a Valentines chapter). I loved the introduction of Futa as well, as he's pretty much the last piece in the character puzzle (Yes, I know, there are a couple other big ones to come, but the core of Tsuna's home and family has now come to completion)
From meeting a boy that can rank abilities, to a snowball fight that ends up becoming far deadlier than he could have feared, to finally ending up on a date with his crush, Tsuna finds himself caught up in a series of strange meetings and escapades...so, the usual. Amano keeps the crazy ball rolling with another entry full of strange and entertaining situations. Reborn will make sure every breath Tsuna takes is part of his training...
It's so cute that every kid that meets Tsuna instantly takes a liking to him and that he can't help but act like a reluctant but sweet big brother to them lmao (he may be a coward and an overall "loser" but he has a heart of gold). I also love how he's always on the verge of a nervous breakdown because of Reborn and his antics, my poor son... when will they let him live? Lmao
Lambo and Fuuta are so adorable. I really can't think much more past that. The story really is getting better. I just know what is coming up, and I want to get there NOW! So, please excuse this lame excuse of a review. The events that take place are quite amusing.
