I wasn’t sure what to expect from this cookbook. I generally don’t go for cookbooks just because a celebrity puts them out. I found several tasty recipes in it, and many of the recipes are easy to prepare. I especially like the recipe for a healthier version of chicken fried steak. I am from the south, and so is Dr. McGraw. It was the first recipe I tried, and I knew I get along with this cookbook win this recipe turned out well.

It was okay. It was very specific though, eat this on this day only etc. But I like how it talked a lot about good vs. bad carbs, specifically because I can really only have rice, corn, etc with Celiac Disease.

Not the best or most realistic cookbook. Some of those dishes would be extremely expensive and/or time-consuming to make. If you like spicy foods there are plenty of recipes with Texan-style seasoning. There are about 4 or 5 recipes I might try with some minor changes.
