Winston Churchill was one of the most extraordinary figures of the twentieth century. Able to see clearly when so many were blind to the threat posed by Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany, Churchill was strong in a time of crisis and inspired nations to greatness. This series of books use dozens of 1-4 page stories to illustrate the key points of a life. So it doesn't have a good narrative or any story line to keep you going. But you do get an interesting glimpse into a life, and Winston Churchill's was a very fascinating life at that. Good "library" book!

This book was a fun read, offering many personal stories into Winston Churchill's life. The timeline is not sequential, which meant I had to stop and process the order sometimes. This is why I give it 4 stars. The book was fascinating if you enjoy a deep narrative.
